The security officers at the Union location are top tier! Not one but two officers provided guidance and tips on how to perfect my shot. The first officer went through how to load and shoot the Glock 101 and all the safety protocols for the range. Both my friend and I had not been to the range in years and need a refresher course. After our lesson he kept an eye on us and continued to give positive reinforcement and guidance for improvement. We both felt confident and safe by the end of our session. read more

As a competitive handgun shooter, and instructor, I am very particular about who I allowed to handle my firearms and Pete the armorer is one of the very best I have ever met. Not only is he incredibly capable and competent, but he is a really good guy. I have witnessed and been party to him going the extra mile at least a half dozen times coming out into the range to help people with their firearms as he did with me today. Great range. Came in with two friends to go shooting. We unfortunately did not come with ammo or eye protection. So if that is you be prepared to pay. For 1 hour range time, 3 eye glasses, 3 boxes of 9 mil and four targets came out to be $195 and they only offer law enforcement or military discounts to membership fees.... Very expensive in my opinion. But the range is very clean and staffed appropriately. I will be visiting again but for sure coming prepared with my own equiptment read more

Nice range, awesome safety precautions, modern range management. The store has a good inventory of various types of weapons and accessories. Good inventory of gun rentals, most for $25. First time / expired (haven't visited in a year) shooters have to watch a video and electronically sign a bunch of disclosures. A little pricey but a nice and safe experience. read more

Used this ranger yesterday and was pleasantly surprised. Pretty big inside with a huge store selling guns and everything you need to maintain and utilize them. I didn't really deal with the employees but they seemed friendly enough. The range was up to date with motorized target stations. Was a good place to shoot with good lighting. The stations were totally separated which is good for safety too. They even have a cafe inside for coffee and snacks which was pretty nice. Have never seen that before. If your looking to go to a range to shoot or need some equipment this place is worth a stop. read more

We came here for my cousin's birthday. We wanted to do something exciting and decided to check out a shooting range for the first time. One of my friends recommended this location because of the cleanliness and professionalism of the group, so we decided to check it out. We were driving from NYC so it took a while to get here. We got here in the evening and had time to learn and shoot. You have to watch an instructional video in the beginning. Afterward, you head to the register and they guide you through what you will need for the session. There's a wide menu of different things you can get for your session. I highly suggest only getting a few (if you have a group of 3, getting 3 total might be enough) of the paper shooting targets. We definitely bought way too many. Price-wise -- it was a bit more than I expected, but I technically also don't know how much things go for when it comes to this type of experience. It was definitely alright for the first time. As a first-timer, they set us up with a range safety officer who explained how to hold a gun, the steps, and how to shoot. Finally, you start trying it on your own. You can always get pointers from all the range safety officers who are walking around. They were very helpful. We spent an hour here and that was more than enough to have a great time! We can definitely see ourselves coming back here. read more

My first time at the range- I was feeling very nervous and anxious....,,turned out to be very DISAPPOINTING!!! "Sam" an Instructor/ security employee was very rude, unprofessional, and obnoxious ( super cocky) yelling at as if I were a kid - he definitely needs some counseling on how to deal with the public. RTSP is an amazing shooting range for beginners, with super friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful staff. I've never shot a gun before but had always wanted to try, so I came to this place very nervous but excited. The check in process was easy, we had to watch a short informational video before signing some waivers, then we headed to a staffed desk, where employees helped us choose the right gun for us. Right away, I felt very taken care of, as the employee made sure that our group chose guns that were comfortable to grip, particularly me as I have smaller hands than our other party members. You're assigned a staff employee to give you a quick but thorough rundown on how to handle the guns safely, how to reload, and how to shoot. Then they stay around you to provide any guidance or help if you need any. I'll admit I was initially incredibly nervous. I kept forgetting how to unload the magazine, how to engage and disengage the safety. But all of the employees were so kind and patient, always stepping in to provide gentle guidance and constant reassurance, even if they weren't directly assigned to our group. I eventually eased up and had a great time. The staff really was what made the experience so memorable. If it's your first time, you purchase ear and eye protection, but then they're yours to keep, and you can bring them in on your next visits. Time in the shooting range is paid for by the hour. You also buy ammo, but if you bought a box of ammo that you didn't end up using, you can return the untouched box for a full refund at the end. The entire cost for the experience was a lot pricier than I expected going in blind; that said, I had a such a great time, I would love to return again! read more

Wow. What an amazing experience! I went on a Saturday and RTSP was busy. There was a line almost out the door but it moved quickly. I write this so if that happens to you know that the line looks worse than it is in referencing wait times. I watched the video before the waiver as I have zero experience and found it helpful. It was about 5 minutes. The facility is so clean and you really feel safe there. It's very intimidating and the staff does an excellent job making you feel safe and comfortable. Since it was my first time a safety office stayed with me. He was awesome. So kind and patient. The whole experience was 10/10 and I cannot wait to go back. read more

I have always wanted to go to the gun range and was excited to finally trying it. When we arrived we parked in their parking lot. We walked in and the lady asked how she could help. She basically just told us to go to the kiosk to check in and sign a waiver. We then went to pay and the man wasn't as detailed as we liked since it was a first time. He did however let us use the free gun rental at check in. We had to ask for an instructor to help us. The instructor James was great. He lead us the way until we were comfortable to shoot on our own. I will say shooting was a adrenaline rush. I would definitely do it again with a different gun. I used a 9mm pistol. read more

He explained every detail about gun safety, our guns, and was patient and kind while we were learning everything. My 2nd time at RTSP and so far so good. They have a gun selection for purchase as well as wide selection of handgun selections. The range seems to be pretty busy the two times I have been there but never had to wait. I also never run into any issues with any of the employees as I have read on here. So far as you follow the rules and regulations. I am still contemplating on signed up for their yearly membership after a few try's. I'll update you on my thoughts then. FYI you can not go to this range alone if you don't have an FID, you'll need someone to go with you. Once your FID is on file and have watched the video and signed a waiver you'll not have to go through it again. Also for none gun owners who may wanna go for a date or fun, you must purchase the eye protection wear, and ear protection. If you have never shot before please do yourself and all of us a favor and take the 15 minute tutorial or take a class so you don't misfire or anything. read more

This place turned into my biggest disappointment. I used to really like this place. We even had a group of military buddies that would all go once a month, now I will never go back there. The employees they have now don't seem to care at all and it's sad as it wasn't like that. A gun range is no place to film social media videos, let alone pose with guns as if you were some wanna be gangster. This happened to me last night. I went with my girlfriend and asked not to be put next to novice shooters, being polite as I have seen this as a trend at this place. I get to my lane and 15 min later two guys come in setting up camera equipment all over my stuff asking me to move out of my lane as they are trying to take pictures and the first picture they are taking is with a gun held in front and pointing at me. I yelled over to put down the gun and the guy says that's why we asked you to move. I became upset and called over the range officer who reprimanded them but they kept taking pictures and totally ruined my night. I packed up and left to avoid any further conflict and asked to be moved or to move them and the lady looked at me as if I was asking for money. She said nothing they can do, I told them what happened and agreed that it's a safety hazard but said since you are leaving it's all good, really? I asked for my money back and they literally ignored me. I already posted on our veterans blog and changed our venue to another range and will never go back to RTSP ever again. read more

Well, they absolutely can! Amanda the manager looked into the circumstances of my last visit and pointed out that they were severely understaffed on an unexpectedly busy day.
