Most places were closed except for a few chain drive-thrus, but this spot was still open and we'd been wanting to try it ever since they opened. The kitchen closes at 1:30am. Perfect timing! We ordered the chicharrones with guacamole, the Boring Burger, and the Piiggy burger with sweet potato fries. Let me start by saying: you HAVE to order the chicharrones. My husband usually doesn't even like chicharrones, but he absolutely loved these. They were freshly fried, not oily at all, super light and airy and gone in about two minutes flat. The burgers might look like typical bar burgers, but don't be fooled. They were surprisingly not greasy at all, made with fresh (not frozen) beef patties. The buns were soft yet sturdy and didn't fall apart while eating. This is what I'd call elevated bar food with great flavor and noticeable freshness. I'm not usually a burger person, but I genuinely loved these because they were fresh and not heavy or greasy. The sweet potato fries were also a win. Again, not greasy at all. Honestly, they tasted like they came out of an air fryer, which made them feel lighter and healthier. The space is great too: indoor and outdoor seating, plus a kids' play area just outside the patio, which is a huge bonus for families. Service was excellent--friendly, fast, and attentive. If you live anywhere near Kyle, you should absolutely check this place out. We'll definitely be back!

My kids (7 and 10) hadn't really been able to experience the familiar *ding ding* music of an ice cream truck... and we lucked out that Grammy's is the one. She's so fantastic with the kids, and on her Facebook page she'll ask where she should visit... and makes her route up on the fly based on who asks her to come by. And the selection is great. Push-ups, ninja turtles, lemonade ice cream, drumsticks, Choco Tacos... even the old-school "paletas" and raspas that I grew up with in Laredo. Their hatch Mac n cheese was fire. They add jalapenos to it and it was very creamy. Their beans had bits and pieces of brisket in them as well. Overall, a great BBQ place. Was just a bit uncomfortable sitting outside to eat on a toasty summer day.
