The last…read moretime we were in CO we didn't get a chance to visit, so this time we definitely made a point to. I personally think the hype is real. There's so much food to choose from, and so so so many snacks and souvenirs. There's something for everyone. The place is huuuuge and there are a ton of gas pumps. Everything was affordable and the bathrooms were very clean. I appreciated that there were red and green lights showing which stalls were open and which were occupied. The workers were very efficient in their tasks, be it cutting fresh brisket, replenishing food items, or cleaning the store. My husband grabbed a brisket sandwich and a key lime pie pudding cup, both of which he said were delicious and again worth the hype. I didn't get anything as I had leftovers from the previous day, but I would have probably grabbed their famous pulled-pork sandwich if I didn't. We will definitely be back the next time we're in the Denver area!

It also works every time I've been there and does the speeds it advertises, which is good. BUT, I have to talk about the location. It's... not great. Yes, it is pretty close to the I-25 highway, though it is pretty far away in terms of navigating around things to get to it. It is also behind a hotel? Why? Not in front of it for easily being able to find, but completely on the other side of it in comparison to the entrance of the hotel. Hard to spot. This hotel is also pushed pretty far away from the other things around this exit of the highway. It would be a stretch to expect to walk to anywhere but the hotel and get back before your charging has finished. It's just... it's OK. :)

We enjoy snowshoeing in the Mount Blue Sky wilderness in the winter and hiking Goliath peak, on a northeast shoulder of the mountain in the summer. Each time we stop in IS for charging the car and refuel other selves at one of the many fine establishments. We have only waited once to charge, as we are frequently here at off hours.

There are 8 peppy chargers here and our little blue rocket got 168 kW and 582 mi/hr. Yay! Recharged and back on the road very quickly.
