The first day of the project there was fighting, yelling, and the use of obscenities on my property. I received multiple calls from neighbors because they were causing such a scene. I later learned that one crew member was visibly intoxicated while speaking with one of my neighbors. After leaving, he backed the work truck into someone at a liquor store, attempted to leave the scene without providing any information, and then drove again and ended up crashing into a ditch. We have many young children in our neighborhood, and knowing that an intoxicated worker was driving in our area is incredibly disturbing and unacceptable. I reached out to the company and was told they apologized to my one neighbor that called them and the employee was being dealt with and it wasn't a big deal. Turns out this employee was a family member they were protecting. I also requested some kind of financial compensation and wasn't offered anything! Then I received the final bill for the project and they had not finished the gutters or roof vents. I went on vacation with my family for a week and received 9 phones calls demanding payment that was not due for another few weeks. After I paid the bill I was told they would come out and finish the job, then was sent another bill after completion with extra added charges. This project has been an absolute nightmare and clearly this company only cares about making money. What should have been a straightforward roofing and gutter installation has instead become a headache of poor craftsmanship, and serious concerns about professionalism and safety. On October 5, 2020 his helper, Curtis, applied a mold and mildew inhibitor, then pressure washed and primed. He also rolled on a product on the cracking trim peaks to help seal it before priming. Doug also suggested a really nice accent color that he had on hand for my chimney heat deflector which I ended up loving and had him use it for the trim on all the peaks. He's very personable and told me that if there was anything that needed to be touched up, missed areas fixed, or if I wasn't happy with the color, to let him know and he would gladly come back to make things right.
