I went to Rubys new location on Mussey and it's amazing! It's been incredible to see her growth from working at the place at the mall, to a booth at lotus, and now she has her own salon with multiple threaders. My sister and I went together today and had booked Jillian (currently a trainee and a licensed aesthetician), Ruby was already booked up. Jillian is amazing! She was super gentle, especially on eyebrows that have spent way too long without being threaded. Another trainee was watching Jillian and we all learned so much from her! My eyebrows look incredible and they weren't red!! The ambiance of the place is great. There was a Whitney Houston playlist going when we came in and her star spangled banner came on and two older friends were having such a beautiful moment listening to it. Holly and I both commented on her incredible salon chairs, they had a great foot rest and they spin so your threader can use the strongest light and stance. FINALLY! An authentic threading experience near Portland, Maine! Ruby Brow Threading has a rented booth inside the Lotus Salon. Prices can compare to the ones back home in Houston, which runs about ~$8-10 for eyebrows. Since there is only one threader, you may have a wait time since it also shares clients with the salon. Got my eyebrows threaded here for the first time since COVID began. Ruby was very sanitary, having me wait outside until her current client was finished. Upon entering, all were wearing masks, I was asked a COVID health survey, temperature taken, and hand sanitizer given. Besides the exceptional sanitation measures taken, Ruby did a great job on taming these crazy quarantine eyebrows! Prices were fair and the salon was very cute. I made an appointment to see Ruby same day during a snow storm. I was going to be late and called to try to reschedule. Ruby was SO kind and accommodating and said she would wait for me up to 20 more minutes until closing time.
