The whole ordering process is a bit different. The server(s) who helped us weren't very attentive. The food was very mid and not good. I ate as much as I could because I don't like to waste food. Ok ok ok... I have never heard of this place outside of my FIL saying over and over again about how good their tacos were, so we gave this location a shot and kind of on a whim. I had ordered the crispy brisket tacos and the wife ordered some sopas... and man they were Delicioso!!! Seriously, some of the best crispy tacos I've had, but their hot sauces!?!? For just over $12, I had a #17, which is 4 enchiladas Souza--loaded with cheese and chicken and slices of avocado. Your order comes with chips and red and green sauces, all brought to your table. The queso came out first and tasted like it had been poured straight from a can and was around $9. It was awful. SALSA, is the word I'll think of every-time I think of Ruby's those salsas were flavorful, well balanced, and just spicy enough to make my nose rub (that's a good thing). Ordered the sopes which come with 4 and a side of charro beans. The chicken sopes were moist and had great flavor, the steak were good not great being honest. The sopes themselves were sturdy but not dense or difficult to eat, perfect and held up to the generous portion of ingredients atop. Beans, meat of your choice, cabbage, crema, cojita, tomato, and avocado towered upon each mountain of deliciousness! Topped these peaks of delight with both the green and orange sauces for spice while washing it down with a Mexican coke or the array of aquas frescas. Chips and salsa were free but would have paid for them as the chips were fresh and salsa was bangin'! HIGHLY recommend. What a gem! Long line to place order and pay, then you get a little table flag with your order number and find a seat. The front room looks small, but the restaurant goes on and on down a hallway to additional rooms. It's a large place and there's even a 2nd place to order at the far end. Long lines moves fast. Wait staff is efficient and friendly. This system works well. Food is not typical and amazing. I got the #6 green chicken enchiladas and potato tacos. Flavors were delicious and unlike other Mexican food I've tried. And it's presented very nicely. There is skill in that kitchen.
