The wine menu is deep and broad with plenty of quality wines to suit your preferences. The food menu is very limited with regard entrees (3 pasta choices), but their pasta is very good. There are ample options for small plates and appetizers. I ordered the Spaghetti ala Vodka. Overall - even if you are not a fan of wine, this restaurant should be on your list to frequent. I love the atmosphere! I'm not from the area, but if I was, this would be my local hangout. First, the parking is a little odd, but we managed. There is inside and outside seating as well as some bar seating. The decor and atmosphere are interesting. Our server was super friendly and reminded us happy hour was over in 10 minutes, so we quickly looked at the drink menu and ordered. They have lots of drinks!!!! I settled on a lemon blueberry martini and it was good. The food menu is very limited, but being that Italian is my favorite, I was a happy camper. 4 of us shared the arancini, which was not my favorite. I order this often when I am out and this one was dry and I didn't care for the prosciutto and cheese in the middle. For my entree, I settled on the spaghetti and meatballs which arrived steaming hot which I love. There were 3 huge meatballs which had a nice little spice to them. This is always such a great experience, especially for a lady's night out. It's a go-to for celebrating birthdays or special occasions with their specialty drinks being such a delicious treat! The food is always delicious as they focus on their foundational offerings and don't have an expansive menu. We enjoyed the peach bellini and the peep martinis, along with some very smooth white & red wines, as recommended by our hostess, Diane, who couldn't have been more lovely and helpful. Make a reservation! I called Friday around 3:40 and we got a slot for 8pm. Arrived around 7:40 and got sat immediately. We started with the bruschetta and it was great. For the main items with dinner I had the Spaghetti Alfredo. Delicious. I took a bite of my husband's Spaghetti Ala Vodka and it was good, it did have a bit of a kick (heat/spicy) to it. I like that stuff. I saw some other Yelp reviews mention the meatballs. I ordered 2 on the side, they were very tasty, I loved them. I ordered 2 specialty drinks from the Italy menu. I love that they make them pretty. I forgot to take a photo of my 2nd drink. The inside is intimate, your tables are close so it can be loud from being so close in proximity. Parking is tight but I knew this from other reviews but it's worth it. Our waitress was so kind, short dark hair woman. They package your leftovers into the boxes which is such a nice touch. Very small menu and a little pricey. The had a happy hour special on watermelon martini's, I really liked it, my first martini! Started with a bowl of wedding soup which was absolutely delicious. For an entree, I had the spaghetti and meatballs, it was good. The marina sauce was perfect. The meatballs were average, nothing I couldn't make myself. Our waitress was outstanding. She was personable, attended quickly to our needs, kept our water glasses full, and packed up our leftovers for us. I wish I could remember her name, maybe Dee but I'm not sure. The parking is tricky but luckily we carpooled and made a reservation. It is very quaint, cozy and very inviting inside with the rustic feel and fireplace. We sat in cozy seats but made it little harder to eat a meal. There was a list of holiday special drinks and large list of starters. The dinner menu was small and only pasta. I opted for the special of the day but she forgot my meatball, however the vodka sauce was amazing. The tiramisu was delicious as well. Just a little pricey for the meal you get. This is a family owned restaurant and you feel that vibe as soon as you walk in the door. The decor makes you feel like you are in a cozy cabin the woods. The dining and bar area are SMALL - don't recommend for groups over 6 people. For sure make reservations ahead of time. The food menu has a few items that are changed out seasonal. I highly recommend the fried zucchini or risotto balls for an appetizer. If you're choosing between their pasta, go with the vodka sauce - it's chef's kiss. Came in for dinner on a Wednesday night at 6pm. We made reservations in advance and it was definitely necessary. The restaurant was super busy. Despite the crowd on hand, our food and drinks were brought out super quickly. Our server was friendly and attentive, checking on us several times throughout our meal. The wide variety of wine available at happy hour was pleasantly surprising! They have several spirits, as well, along with some fun cocktails. It was definitely loud in there, but in the "soft seating", we were close enough that we didn't have to yell to hear each other. The food was delicious. The arancini were my favorite. Maddie (the Hostess) called to confirm my reservation at 10:27 PM four days before we were to dine. As I was asleep, it went to voicemail. When we arrived for our reservation, I brought it to the attention of the "owner", Lori. She first denied it occurred (remember that voicemail) then brushed it off as poor Maddie was young and didn't know better. We've eaten here many times, brought clients and friends here so this is not my first rodeo with Ruby's. Big picture is the small menu, horrendous parking and questionably rude and inconsiderate staff doesn't make this a must for the foodie. If you're shopping in the Robinson area, do yourself a favor and GPS your way to Ruby's for a treat - it's minutes from the Target-side of the shopping mecca. Their restaurant is small but charming and the staff are excellent. They have a small outdoor section of umbrella tables when the weather is nice. The food is excellent! We've had the meatballs, bruschetta, arancini, and Italian greens and beans, which are all delicious - it's hard to pick a favorite. This is my second visit to Ruby's, just not a great experience. My company was there before me & I sat for quite a bit before I was acknowledged and asked what I would like to drink. Our charcuterie board was dropped off & we had no plates. I looked for our waitress & she was at the bar conversing with 4 other employees. I had to wave to her to get her attention for the plates. The service was way off considering the cost of a food & drinks. Charcuterie board was so disappointing, it had maybe a teaspoon of mustard & jelly. Not even enough to share the board. Let's go on to the key lime martini that was 16.00. I get cheaper martinis on vacation. The problem is that the glass was so small & filled with whipped cream & not much alcohol at all. Finally the pasta was horrible. It was soaked in pasta water & I couldn't taste the cheese or sauce at all, only pasta water flavored. Super disappointing based on the cost. read more

Then the bartender who I believe is also the owner was arguing with me and said that I hadn't been sitting there very long and I just find it unacceptable for anyone to argue with a customer. I typically stay in the Coraopolis area when visiting Pittsburgh, as I'm always here for business and I've eaten just about everything there is to eat in this area, and there's not much. So, when I came across this place on social media I was chomping at the bit to try it, only problem was that the past two times (before this one) I was here, was during the front end of the week and Ruby's is only open later in the week (so, check their hours before coming!). But on my most recent trip, I was finally able to stop in and I'm so glad I did! I not only found my favorite joint west of Pittsburgh, but also a place that can compete with many of the outstanding eateries in the City! I sat at the bar and my bartender was GREAT (Nancy, I think?)... fun to chat with, knowledgeable about wine and very helpful with the menu. In fact, I chatted with other staff, including one of the owners and they were all very friendly and all smiles! As for their menu - Loaded with Italian eats that they make fresh in-house, daily! Their red sauce is really good, like I prefer! Their meatballs are seasoned just right and are made from a good mixture of beef and pork. Their Italian Wedding soup was excellent and so were their pepperoni rolls! What I was really happy about was their wine list... they clearly love their CA wines here, so for people like me who love that big CA red, they'll have something here for you! But not to limit themselves to CA, they have many other appellations here as well! I was able to find a "by-the-glass" red that suited me fine and stuck with it. But when I come back and if I have someone with me, I'll definitely opt for a bottle of something fun! Prices are very reasonable and the place is quite popular, so you might have a wait. Service as great as well and keep in mind that this is a small place so the noise level can be louder than other places but so worth it . Parking is difficult if you don't get there early so be aware of this as you may have to walk from a lot nearby and with cars driving on this road it can prove to be difficult. read more

The zucchini was perfectly breaded and fried, and the marinara sauce was the perfect pairing. The soup was delicious and the sausage added great flavor and texture. A really nice atmosphere with a small patio area on the side and some two tops in the back. There are quite a few wine flights and small plates and just a few entrees. The have a few specials every week. We tries a wine flight and then picked our favorite to enjoy it more. Our favorite was the greens and beans with sausage, a spicy little treat. We enjoyed the charcuterie and the caramelized onion & goat cheese tart too. We were told to save room for desert but again were just to full to partake, next time.
