I found this Ruby slipper in Milan Italy and tried to take it to Mobile, Alabama!

Hannah did a great job! Classic pancakes were good!!! It was close to the hotel. I recommend you give it a try.

Service and food both were great! Tip: skip the omelet they're just meh/ok.. go for the speciality things like the Migas & Benedicts!

Everything!!! Was amazing!!! Coffee with fried green tomatoes and shrimp and grits! My son got a BLT with friend green tomatoes! The service was amazing - this is why we love traveling!!

Gulf shrimp omelet with buttermilk biscuit and cheesy grits

Beautiful scenery in downtown Mobile. Its perfect for brunch and it fits right in with the vibe of a coastal town. Had the gulf shrimp omelet which was delicious especially because the shrimp is fresh. Ordered a matcha specialty drink as well to make this a well rounded breakfast. The service was very nice despite some small issues that they immediately corrected.

Buddha Bowl (less the pork and egg) and a side of avocado with a Sparkling Sunrise mocktail and water.

I was sat immediately, and the setting was eclectic. Service was very kind and the menu was adjustable for my diet. The food was seasoned, appetizing and tasted good. I ordered a Buddha Bowl (without the pork and egg) with smoky black beans, corn and pepper relish, arugula, pickled English cucumber, and half of an avocado with an avocado crème fraisch (sp). I ordered an additional side of avocado and a Sparkling Sunrise mocktail.

Sweet Home Mobile Alabama Whenever you can order one my favorite desserts disguised as a breakfast entree, then I'm all in. The Banana Foster French Toast was straight from The Big Easy. Combine that with the 3 Little Pigs omelette and that made for a satisfying meal for the 2 of us. These 2 plates had enough protein to share while providing us a great sugar rush to get us down the road back home to Texas. The inside of the restaurant has that Dorthy from Kansas theme, ample tables for such a small restaurant and overall I consider this a hidden gem within the downtown area for good measure. The menu has a good assortment of interesting pancake options to select from and many creative egg plates. We used the call ahead feature although it was not terribly busy at 10am when we arrived. However, within the hour, a line of folks come in and the wait was on.

Nice joint. Trendy. Eclectic decor. And, excellent food. We came here recently as we were in town for Wifey's graduation from USA. Go Jags! Wait was not bad for a Saturday around 1130ish. Maybe 20 minutes? Anyway, I would wait twice as long for this place. We had a party of six. Got the chicken sandwich (good), three little pigs omelet (good), sweet heat chicken and french toast bites (real good), southern breakfast (real good). I also got the grits with pepper jack cheese (unreal). Good variety on menu from sandwiches to bennies. Also, nice alcohol selection, though we didn't partake. Service was on point. Prices real reasonable. Cool, funky spot. Street parking. There was also a parking structure, but not sure if it was kosher to park there. We wish there was a Ruby Slipper closer to us than 2000 miles away.

We love brunch at Ruby Slipper! Our favorite spot is the patio, but we always enjoy ourselves!

We were floored by the robust flavor of each of the homemade gravies. They have a tomato gravy, a sausage gravy, and a redeye gravy. The texture of the gravy was not too thick and none of them were greasy. We each ate a plate of homemade biscuits and in-house made gravy. Although the biscuits and gravy seem like a small serving, the dish is really an adequate meal. Crowded but we parked right up front, got on the list and eased out to wait in the comfort of our car. App updates ran accurate and we were seated in a perfect location. Our server JT (according to the ticket) was super cool and put us at ease as first timers and offered some great suggestions. I had the cathead chicken biscuit, well half but the second half went down later at home. We split the coffee cake and Mrs scooped up a Creole omelette. Food was everything it could be and more. Oh, I almost forgot the added blueberry jam I put on the coffee cake, and after the ride home the cake soaked up the blueberry jam liquid, OMG let's just say that's how it should be served. All in all a great experience piloted by our capable server and guaranteed with nice size portions of really good food. This is on the rotation now.

The service can be a bit unpredictable, and the coffee isn't very flavorful, but that doesn't stop me from loving it, mainly because of the Breakfast Brisket Scramble. Stayed anyway because server and hostess were good and atmosphere was cute. I ordered a Power Bowl called the Garden Breakfast Bowl (I knew my mom ordering traditional breakfast for me to sneak bites from). I was hoping for healthy crunch and boost to my day. The vinaigrette was too much for the fresh veggies, bulgar wheat and quinoa. I'm not sure what you would put on that power bowl but that dressing was not it. It had too much of it as well. The veggies and avocado were fresh and ratio of other fillers was good. I wouldn't get it again though. Like I said I took some bites of my mom's traditional breakfast. Eggs cooked correctly, bacon was too, Belgian waffle was very good- fluffy and sweet. Pancake was basic. Overall, the whole experience was basic honestly. We got lucky and found one of the few non metered spots on the street. The restaurant was a bit busy when we arrived, but they where able to seat us promptly. The service was good. Our table ordered several items off the brunch/breakfast menu. I had the Seafood Eggs Benedict. For the most part this was a solid eggs benedict. However the shrimp were away overcooked and rubbery. They were a bit smallish and just not worth the time or charge. Hands down the best part about the dish was the Honey Ham. It was flavorful and there was a good bit included on the dish. In general it was fine, but not exactly worth the $18 it cost. Cubed Hashbrowns: I mixed bag. Every order at the table the Hashbrowns came out a bit different. Mine were undercooked and crunchy inside, I like them overcooked and crispy. Others at the table had them crunch and almost burnt. You can have them come with cheese and onions. I suggest this upgrade. Others at the table had: Eggs Cathedral: Needed salt. The same dry shrimp as the other dishes. Another dish that just did not seem to justify the cost. BLT Croissant: Was an ok looking sandwich, there was a good amount of bacon on the sandwich, however most of it was very well done. $15 Kids "Egg Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 Meat, 1 Toast. Looked fine. Spot of Tea was not a bad meal and there is good diversity to the Breakfast menu. However nothing the table had has was great, just mostly good. The Shrimp however were just bad. It seems that they are cooked in batches early in the day and added to dishes as needed. So I would personally avoid the "jumbo" shrimp dishes. Side note on the shrimp they are the same one that was added to the bloody marry cocktail. I think the biggest hang-up is the price to quality ratio. If you are in the area and want an eggs benedict you may want to give them a try. For me however I think there are better options to get full in the area.
