Hands down one of the best breakfasts I've ever had (and I love going out to breakfast) - savored every bite of my breakfast, as well as everyone else's. Starting with the great Bloody Mary (the bacon & shrimp garnish - chef's kiss) and oh, those pancakes. Exactly what everyone is saying - light, lemony and delightfully crispy on the edges. Seriously the best pancake I've ever had. Syrup is definitely optional - I didn't want to muddy the perfection of the flavors (they have enough sweetness to hold their own). And the breakfast sandwich on pillowy Texas toast with the fantastic local conecuh ("kah-NECK-ah" - juicy seasoned hickory smoked link with amazing flavor and a smidge of heat) - whoo-eee was that yummy. And don't miss the homemade creole sauce - scrumptious on its own or in the grits! Don't miss it if you're in Mobile!!

Great service, beautiful location in downtown, and delicious food. The homemade creole sauce is the best. All fresh ingredients. Not a lot of options for beverages though. Make sure you stop in.

This breakfast omelette was delicious and portions were big. Everything was flavorful. It's a small restaurant with a couple outdoor seating. Service was good and I would come back when I'm in town again.

Y'all if your looking for a new breakfast spot this is the place. Every Sat the radio station is there setting the vibe for the day. But the food I had the shrimp bowl with a side of Creole Sauce.... that sauce.... You can eat that like soup with that yumlious dread they be serving. Everything was delicious and the servers are really nice and will help you make food selections

We walked in and stood for several minutes, as there was no sign indicating to sets ourselves or wait to be seated and there was no one at the counter to ask. Once we sat, our server brought menus and got our drinks to us fast. That Dr Pepper was crisp, baby, and was so good. Husband got the Conecuh Bowl - he said it was good, but he had to put a lot of hot sauce in it because there was not much seasoning. I got the Bacon Breakfast plate and there was definitely more bacon than anything, which I guess was the point. It was barely two bites of egg on there, which I had to laugh at. The food was good, but no season on mine either. Not even salt, nor was there a salt shaker on the table. Only pepper. There was one tiny salt packet in the wrapper with our plastic utensils they gave us, but that wasn't enough to do much of anything. Would I go back? Absolutely. I'd just take some season-all or Tony's in my purse. I want to try the pancakes next time.

ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME!? This is the best breakfast in Dauphin St!! I NEVER eat all my toast at ANY restaurant....what did I do EAT IT ALL!! The grits! THE PANCAKE I am vibrating. There is no salt or pepper on the table because everything is seasoned to perfection! The prices are just right and so is the atmosphere!! Have you grabbed your keys and your wallet? WHAT ARE YOU WAITING ON!?!!!

We came here for brunch. First of all the whole menu sounds good. I settled on the pancake platter with a side of conecuh. The pancakes totally stole the show! Fluffy, crunchy, crumbly, with a sweet lemony taste! Fantastic! I almost regret putting syrup on them! 100% recommended!

Delicious is an understatement. Come give this small business a try. There's plenty to choose from for breakfast or lunch, which ever you choose.

We enjoyed the Mardi Gras Omelette with cheese grits and the chicken & pancakes (lemon pound cake pancakes), and everything was delicious. The service was great, the food was fresh and flavorful, and the 90s music playlist was a fun touch. The space is small and cozy, yet we were seated quickly. Prices are reasonable, portions are generous, and the overall experience was excellent. I'd highly recommend it and am already looking forward to returning.

The Breakfast Spot = 4.5/5 The atmosphere at The Breakfast Spot is laid-back and inviting, perfect for a casual start to the day. The staff is very friendly and attentive! I ordered the Mardi Gras Omelette, which was packed with seafood, sausage, and cheese. The flavor was great, though the shrimp were on the smaller side and could've used some attention with deveining. The Cheese Grits, however, were the highlight--smooth, velvety, and absolutely delicious. The salmon patty was seasoned to perfection and fried just right, while the buttery, crispy toast added the perfect crunch. A real standout was the Pineapple Mimosa--honestly, *chef's kiss*. My only complaint is the two large trash cans near the front of the store, which take away from the otherwise pleasant vibe. Overall, great food, chill atmosphere, but those trash cans need a new home!

Food was seasoned and did not disappoint, service was on par and funny, all in all a fun experience! Yummy creole sauce too!

Like we weren't supposed to sit there and finish our food and coffee. So I gave her my card. She came back and presented two printouts. Customer copy said "paid in full." I asked if she had already charged my card she answered yes. I asked why I still had a merchant copy to put tip and add if up if she'd already charged me. She said it's ok I'll just add the tip in on the charge. After she had already run my card?!? How does that work? Do I get an additional copy to check what she charged? "No!" It was very confusing and stupid me, when she said they have to do it that way I just picked up my receipt and left. Should have made her rerun it. And, breakfast for two was $44!!! Will NOT be going back.

It was a Friday night and the music was loud, you can sit at the bar or at a table. It was several people eating in. We decided on the Wings with Cajun Nawlins fries, and the Bando Nachos. I asked for sour cream and salsa for the nachos and they didn't have any so I stopped by the store to get some. I was super excited to try the food. It was super salty. Everything was salty. I tried to move past it because I was so hungry but it completely dried my mouth out and I had to stop. I was really disappointed. Big A came to greet us and we told him about our food a few nights before and he explained that the meat is marinated and they probably seasoned it again. He was very apologetic. He told today would be better and he would ensure it. The food was fresh, hot and tasty! We really enjoyed it! We also got some gumbo to go and it was really good! I ordered gumbo. My niece got biscuits and gravy. The gumbo was pretty good except would have liked the roux a little thicker. The gravy on the biscuits was lacking in flavor. We got lucky and found one of the few non metered spots on the street. The restaurant was a bit busy when we arrived, but they where able to seat us promptly. The service was good. Our table ordered several items off the brunch/breakfast menu. I had the Seafood Eggs Benedict. For the most part this was a solid eggs benedict. However the shrimp were away overcooked and rubbery. They were a bit smallish and just not worth the time or charge. Hands down the best part about the dish was the Honey Ham. It was flavorful and there was a good bit included on the dish. In general it was fine, but not exactly worth the $18 it cost. Cubed Hashbrowns: I mixed bag. Every order at the table the Hashbrowns came out a bit different. Mine were undercooked and crunchy inside, I like them overcooked and crispy. Others at the table had them crunch and almost burnt. You can have them come with cheese and onions. I suggest this upgrade. Others at the table had: Eggs Cathedral: Needed salt. The same dry shrimp as the other dishes. Another dish that just did not seem to justify the cost. BLT Croissant: Was an ok looking sandwich, there was a good amount of bacon on the sandwich, however most of it was very well done. $15 Kids "Egg Breakfast: 1 egg, 1 Meat, 1 Toast. Looked fine. Spot of Tea was not a bad meal and there is good diversity to the Breakfast menu. However nothing the table had has was great, just mostly good. The Shrimp however were just bad. It seems that they are cooked in batches early in the day and added to dishes as needed. So I would personally avoid the "jumbo" shrimp dishes. Side note on the shrimp they are the same one that was added to the bloody marry cocktail. I think the biggest hang-up is the price to quality ratio. If you are in the area and want an eggs benedict you may want to give them a try. For me however I think there are better options to get full in the area.
