Great location, and some nice people. The Chicken Tortilla soup was good, with a nice spicy finish, however, the Tempura Green Beans were SO greasy it was disgusting. This is probably the worst place I've went for a meal. The minute I walked in I knew it was a bad but I gave it the benefit of the doubt considering it is a chain restaurant. So I ordered a raspberry iced tea what I got was water and sugar, my friend ordered a lemonade and what got was some Sprite mixed with water. So we both changed our drinks. I went with a fountain coke (can't mess that up) For food we both ordered sandwiches and what got was a mess. The lettuce on my Bly was old and soggy so was the pickles and the fries had extra salt ! If I could put negative stars I would. This place was horrible. The staff paid no attention to their clients and the food was horrible.. I ordered fish and it came out raw.. it took the bar tender 20 minutes before she came and asked how our food was. I would have understood the wait if there were people at the bar but she had my table and one other. She never said she was sorry just said I'll take it off your bill and walked away.. Worst Ruby Tuesday ever. We had appetizer, steak, seafood, and drinks. Two Bloody Mary's, one with two olives and one with one olive NO OTHER GARNISHMENTS. The waitress (dumber than a post) brought us the wrong appetizer. She asked, literally, ever two minutes if we were ready to order. We've eaten at different Ruby Tuesday restaurants across the US, and they've always been pretty decent. Today we were looking for salad and decided the Ruby Tuesday salad would be the ticket. It was not the best. I mean, what they had was all fine and looked fresh, but there were several empty containers in the salad bar, no ham. no bacon (maybe pork products are expensive in the mid-west?) no pasta salad, no potato salad. The lettuce was all over the "clean" plates. There wasn't even a container for tomatoes of any kind - weird. Overall service was just fine, prompt and the restaurant was clean. We got our drink refills without asking, but they never did bring us the cheesy biscuits and they never took our dirty salad plates off the table, even after my husband went back for seconds. Can't speak highly enough of the manager on duty 12/20/12 at North Platte, NE restaurant. We were forced off I-80 due to road conditions. The manager went out of his way to accomodate us and provide us with updates about road conditions. The restaurant was very clean and friendly and helpful service. read more

Bartender Steven was extremely short and seemed to care less that we stopped in and sat at the bar. I had asked for a modification on what I was ordering...being a former bartender and server at a ruby tuesdays, I'm pretty aware of what can or cannot be done. He didn't even bother to try to make it happen and said 'no we can't'. Being in the service industry in general is about making the guest happy. No other options were given, just a flat no from him. Food there was mediocre. Seemed like a new cook was trying. Not awful though. The experience with our 'server/bartender' made it terrible. Not recommended. read more

My wife and used to love coming here. Normally great food and service. This time food was good and service was good but ... The restaurant was absolutely filthy. So bad that your feet sticks to the carpet. There was ketchup on the bench . Just really makes me wonder if the front is this bad what's the kitchen look like. I was really looking forward to eating at a Ruby Tuesday. But I was very disappointed. My crispy shrimp was burned and had to much batter. It was happy hour but it was only for the select even though the signage said happy hour until 7:00 and it was only 6:30 they took $1 off my drink and told me happy hour was over, but after eating I went to the restroom passing by the bar when a white customer was told they had 10 more minutes for happy hour. My family and I went here on a trip. To start off saying something nice, it was easy to find and the doorway was wide so I could walk through easily without bumping into anything. Now that I got that out of the way, I will list the cons (bullet points needed for the extensive list): - waiter forgot to put in order - many missing ingredients at salad bar - urinal won't stop running - cold meals - slow and forgetful service - waiter forgot the zucchini I ordered - a smushed French fry on the floor greeted everyone that walked by - waiter offered free salads after forgetting our order, but charged us anyway - other tables around us remained dirty - guy behind us called the food "edible, but..." which is like really bad - waiter told us to have an excellent "rest of our day" but it was 8:30pm BUT, that wide doorway really made up for it all. read more

Every year we attend the Miss Nebraska Pageant held in North Platte. The host hotel is just 2 doors down from Ruby Tuesday so we frequent it often. This year, we walked in on a Thursday night at 2 min til 10:00pm (closing time). Bonnie, our server greeted us with a smile and told us to take our time and enjoy. Not to disrupt the kitchen, the five of us had the salad bar. Ruby Tuesdays has always been our favorite salad bar. It didn't disappoint us this night even though it was closing time. We told our server, the only that was missing was the croutons. She immediately returned to our table with warm, fresh out of the oven croutons. She was even courteous enough to take several pictures with 5 different phones..... we loved her! Our group then returned on Saturday night a little after 11:00pm (closing midnight). Although Bonnie wasn't working, we we're served by an equally attentive server. This time we ordered from the menu. Food was prompt and delicious. I have to say, one of my favorite things is that they serve MOSCATO! ((smile)) it's hard find restaurants (other than Olive Garden) that serve this deliciously sweet wine. Love you Ruby Tuesdays! Garden Bar + is a great meal. Everything on the salad bar was fresh and tasty -- and there are lots of choices! We added shrimp to one and salmon to another, and both were excellent. Our server was friendly and attentive. Overall a very pleasant dining experience. read more

Ruby Tuesday in North Platte is awesome. I honestly think their food is better than The Canteen. I have never had a bad meal here, the servers are friendly, they have a full bar, and their salad bar is the best in town. Usually the line for the salad bar is ten people deep, or at least has been when I've gone. Try the shrimp and grits or the ravioli. They're awesome. read more

Worse food in North Platte. Straight out the box, bag and can. This is a nice and clean restaurant, and service is okay because they are never busy because of the awful food. Top restaurant in North Platte in its class. I have been all the way around the menu. I have yet to find something that wasn't good and many things that were excellent. My wife and I eat here 2-3 times per month and have always had excellent service and good meals. We waited on our entrees for over 30 minutes once one of the first times we went. Before we even started to get antsy, a manager came over and apologized and also picked up the tab. Complaining had yet to even cross our minds. I'm not sure how this place is overall as a chain but, I can say the one in North Platte is very well managed, has an excellent staff, and serves delicious meals. read more

I normally wouldn't review a chain restaurant but the food was actually very good. The food is the only reason they got a 2. The cook knew how to grill shrimp. Normally it's overcooked, this was very good. The service was horrible though! Very slow to take my order and they asked me how the food was when it was delivered. They literally put it in front of and asked - so how is your dinner? I had no chance to taste it at that point. From that point on no one came by to ask if everything was correct until I was done. No one asked about my drinks or asked if I wanted another beer. probably would have taken another beer. They ignored me. The staff hung out by the kitchen pass through and socialized. The customers were an interruption to their conversations. Management was also included in the group hang-out. Heavyset guy in a distinctive managment shirt with a goatee was a ring leader in the socializing. No leadership. read more

My boyfriend and I went in to this establishment for dinner. We were greeted with a warm smile from the hostess as she took us to our seat, however that is where the pleasantries ended. When our server came over we went ahead and gave her our complete order. We ordered two beverages, one appetizer, and both my boyfriend and I got the salad bar. The waitress told us we could go one up and get our salads. We did that, came back to the table and began to eat. Our waitress walked by our table a few times still never bringing our drinks over. As I would try to get her attention she would simply walk off in another direction. She dropped off our appetizer and i asked her to please bring our beverages and some ketchup to go with the chicken fingers. She brought the drinks but no condiment. Our waitress then did not return to the table. We ate with empty glasses needing a refill, never got ketchup, never asked how everything was going. When she finally returned she took the plates and NEVER returned. We WAITED for 20 minutes to get the check so we could leave. Our waitress passed the table several times. After ten minutes of waiting I pulled out my debit card and placed it on the table but she still never returned to take payment. Finally a manager came over and ran my card for me. Never saying anything other than "here I will take that for you." NOT a good experience. Do not go there if you want friendly or any where close to attentive service. read more
