I find Ruby's beauty salon offers a variety of services hair, henna, facials, lashes and brows. I went with a facial and eyebrow threading with tent. My visit didn't start off on a positive note, nowhere is it listed on the website cash only. There are Visa and MasterCard signs posted in the doorway and windows. In the age of technology carrying cash is the last thing on my mind. People list this place as unclean it's not that, it's unorganized and dated. This place can use upgrades with tools and chairs etc. But I must say they get the job done. My 'stylist' washed their hands and wore gloves, gave me fresh towels, that's all I need. The basic facial was excellent and the 'stylist' did a great job with my eyebrows, threading and tinting. I would bring my own head wrap for facials. Will I go again? I have been patronizing Ruby's salon for over 10 years now I started with eyebrow threading and Brazilian waxes I recently got a hydro facial which I really enjoyed. The service is very intimate and relaxing. This was my first time ever getting this type of facial The results are impeccable My skin glows and feels refreshed I'm going to figure out a way to fit this service into my budget. read more

I got a wax here, and though the wax was inexpensive (via Groupon), I was not really impressed with the cleanliness of this place. One of my top priorities at a salon, especially one where I'm getting a Brazilian or bikini is just that it be impeccably clean. I didn't feel that here, and the wax was pretty painful. This salon isn't the best, eye brow threading was $4.00 pre-covid. I went today Ruby said price went up while I was getting my brows done to $10 had I known that I would of taken my business elsewhere. I spent $20 cause I treated my sister. I will no longer be going here, brows were to thin for my liking & place looks run down. read more

I can't rate their service because their extreme rudeness drove me to walk out and go to their competitor next door. I initially walked in to inquire about facials and bridal makeup. My presence wasn't acknowledged by anyone. One woman was sweeping and the other was busy gossiping on the phone. I approached the one sweeping to ask about rates and she told me to ask the other girl. I walked closer to her but she totally ignored me and continued chatting on the phone. I stood there for ten seconds or so and just left. I went to the parlor next door and was given excellent service; got a facial. Over an hour later I came back to Rubys to try inquiring about bridal makeup again. This time one woman was giving the other a pedicure. They asked if I got the facial and I responded that I got it next door. I asked abt bridal makeup and they said they don't know the rates; their manager does and she isn't here. I asked if I can see samples of their work and they pointed me in the direction of a bunch of books and magazines. I asked which one and one woman says, 'that one'. After I couldn't figure it out she got up and thrusted an album in my hand then went back to doing a pedicure on the other girl. I sat down and started going through the album to only find magazine cut outs end no work THEY have done. I asked if there are any photos of. Their work and they said its in there. I kept looking and didn't find anything and asked again. This time the woman said, "thats all then" in an extremely irritated voice. I walked out. Most of running a business is good customer service. You could be selling garbage, but if you know how to approach and catch customers properly then give them excellent treatment, even that garbage won't look so bad. read more

If I could give a lower rating I would. When I walked in to get my eye brows threaded the owner was drying her nails and advised me to wait. I needed to get my eyebrows threaded and my sides waxed. I was short on time so I asked if someone else could wax while I waited for the owner to become available to thread me. The lady began to wax the side of my face and before I could say anything. She applied wax to my cheeks and chin which I never get waxed. She was rough and waxed right over my acne. The whole experience was very painful. When I told her not to wax my cheek area she moved my hand told me one minute and continued anyways. When she was done without even asking she applied baby oil all over my irritated inflammated skin. My whole face in so much pain from the wax I can't even open my mouth. When called to explain what happened the owner simply told me to come so she can give me cream for my burning and scarring. This place is very unprofessional. No one was wearing a mask there are kids running around touching customers. They don't ask you what you want on your face they do whatever they want to a clients face. I paid over 20 bucks to get my skin peeled off. Don't ever come here! read more

I love this place it's the only place I come back too to get my Brazilian wax done ... even when I was pregnant getting my wax done up until I was 6 months I went every month and loved my service can't wait to go back today to the new location on 40th street I'm excited because a wax is longgggggg over due for me and also the ladies is so nice I have took so many of my family members here and they loved it too and the price you can not beat it at all ... read more

This salon has the best hours and rates for brow and lip threading! The shop is aesthetically a little out of date, but the quality of service makes up for that. I will admit I did have one unfortunate experience there, where the technician threaded off half my brow after not listening to my request for "just a clean up", but now that I've found "my girl" Katha, I know I'll have perfect brows every time! I haven't had any other services there, but their list is quite extensive! Facials, makeup, henna...it truly could be a one stop shop for all your beauty needs! read more

I have been to a lot of Indian salons in my day and I have to say this place was awesome. They were prompt, friendly and very thorough. I got my eyebrows done and legs waxed and I plan on coming back here often. I came here all the way from center city because of the friendly service and prices that you can't find in center city.
