My visit here yesterday was my third time trying this place and, based on that experience, probably my last time there. Upside of the place is that it is very clean, bright lighting and seems to be kept up very well. But it's just the quality and inconsistency of service that doesn't work for me. The first time I got a gel manicure and the spa pedicure; second time was a special pedicure again and dip french mani; and this last time was dip removal and regular manicure. The first time was a pretty good experience - did both services at the same time, quick ans efficient but still generally satisfied with the work. The second time started off well also with my pedicure and the dip french mani came out well. My only complaint on that visit was a few nails had polish on the skin around the nail and got a little cut on one nail from when they were doing/cleaning my cuticles. Haven't really had that happen in a long time and knew it was a mistake, so I brushed it off that time since it wasn't that bad and was only one - mistakes happen. But during the visit yesterday, I ended up with a few cuts to different nails in the cuticle areas when the tech was "cleaning up"/doing my cuticles - at least two of the areas were bleeding a bit - so I can't chance that again. I was hoping this could be one of my backup nail salons, but I'll pass on this place now. read more

I've been coming here for pedicures for years and never wrote a review. What a great place; clean, welcoming and professional salon. Gloria is excellent. She never rushes your service regardless of how crowded it is. It's a wonderful place to relax after work, running errands or preparing for a vacation. The only thing I would change is the lighting. I'm not a fan of bright lights in a salon. read more

I would not return. I made an appointment for 1pm. It was fine, they started relatively close to the time. Pedicure was just ok -- the polish was VERY uneven and didn't even go all the way to my cuticle as you can see in the picture. The polished chipped on my big toe not even 24 hours after my visit. My manicure was equally disappointing. I got a gel French manicure. The polish also chipped less than 24 hours post service. I went back the next day to have them fixed. The gentleman at the front desk was lovely, the women doing my nails were not. They should be very careful about what they say about people in Spanish, you never know who can understand you (among many things, they said my fingers were dirty and that I complained too much). They fixed both my finger and my toe but as I got home another 2 fingers chipped!!! I was not going all the way back there again, especially since I JUST LEFT no more than 20 minutes earlier. On the day of my actual appointment, the ladies were so confused about who even to give service to that I was waiting almost 10 minutes post-pedicure for someone to come over to start my manicure. I thought they were just having a rough day at first but when I came back the next day, it was very clear that this is a regular practice. Disappointed. Now looking for another salon to go to in Ardmore. UPDATE: as of 6:20p the day after my appointment, I now have a WHOLE HAND chipped, and it's supposed to be gel!!! I came in for a French manicure today, but it was clear that the "professional" assigned to work with me had never given a French manicure in her life. When I mentioned this to the manager at the end of my experience, she said "that's why I am here -- so we can change it." But that's not why I am here -- I get my nails done professionally because I don't want to waste my time doing it myself. And I do t care to spend 2X as long at the nail place because you don't take the time to train or manage your staff correctly. read more

LOVE princess nails. I have been coming here regularly for the past two years. I have visited/been a regular at several nail salons on the mainline. Princess is comparable in price yet has consistently had the longest lasting dip manicure. Every dip manicure has lasted over 3 weeks and with no chipping. I only need to return when I'm ready for a new color/my nails grow out. Their regular pedicure is relaxing (not rushed) and includes a great foot massage. However, their spa pedicure is incredible and worth the splurge!!! I was here last week with my mom and sisters before my wedding weekend. The manager was so accommodating and encouraged us to stop in for touch ups if any of our nails chipped over the weekend. All of our dip/gel and pedicures are still intact two weeks later! Came here yesterday with my 10 year old daughter..i received a refill and pedicure with gel and she got a basic manicure and pedicure..Was charged 180.00..After I paid (upfront ) I felt taken advantage of..I asked the manager , who was extremely stoic and unfriendly how much he charged for my daughters nails..I guess he thought about it and gave me 10 dollars back..The service itself felt rushed and four different people worked on our nails which I found unnecessary..the nail tech that was doing my pedicure was complaining in Spanish the whole time about having to remove the previous gel polish..Little did she know I'm fluent in three different languages and understood everything she was saying ..I tipped each one 5 dollars, which by their reaction wasn't enough..so a total of 190.00 I spent for mediocre service and rude nail techs..Won't be back..DO NOT RECOMMEND! read more

Really disappointing visit this time. Aside from the fact that my gel mani is chipped after only FOUR days!!!...I wasn't told that there was an up charge to remove dips to go to gel!! An extra $15. Funny thing is that I only had 5 fingers left with dip so shouldn't I have only been charged an extra $7.50?? Also, the technician didn't tell me about the charge until we started despite my having pre-paid for my gel. Better service would have been either to ask my what was on my nails or tell me the protocol for next time. So now I paid $50 + tip for a really bad experience and manicure. read more

Super disappointed. After a good experience right before Covid hit the fan, I scheduled to go back for powder dip nails and a spa pedicure. They called to confirm approximately two hours before the appointment, which suggested to me that they were ready for me. When I arrived, they said there was no one to give me the power dip nails and pedicure at the same time, and that it would take at least two hours to get both services in succession. This has never occurred at another salon, and had I have known this was the case, I would never have scheduled the appointment. Sadly, never going back, horrible customer service but par for the course from what I have experienced around here. Shame on you, Princess Nails, for not being more transparent. read more

If I made an appt with someone specific that's who I expect to have do my pedicure. Twice now they tried giving me a different person. So then today I had to wait a half hour for my person. She hot stoned ONE leg (guess she forgot I have 2?) and at that point I was so disgusted I didn't even tell her. No shoulder massage offered today-that's a first. Extremely disappointing. I have been a patron of Princess nails for over five years. Although prices have increased, decline in services offered, and a few occasions where I have been treated very dismissively and not as fairly or with as much precedent as other customers, I continued to support the business for my specific nail tech that I ALWAYS make appointments with. The final straw was when I made an appointment and expressed I will be traveling quite some distance to attend my appointment, The owner find my nail tech for the gentleman who walked in next to me, and told me I could "soak and wait" for her or he could assign me someone else. I asked him why he couldn't assign another person to him because I had a confirmed appointment with her and he did not. He just said " sorry, he comes first". I was refunded my money and unfortunately will never patronize them again. Instead I will show my loyalty and spend my money with a business that values its loyal customers. read more

My manicure at Princess was so relaxing that I nearly fell asleep to the sweet strains of elevator music. The decor is more chic than your average salon, and they offer a full menu of services, from manicures and pedicures to waxing and massage. Note that it's cash only if your bill is under $25. This place is great! It is clean, friendly and such a relaxing experience. I went in for a pedicure ($25). It included foot and calf massage with and without hot stones. I didn't think to wear flip flops (silly me), but it didn't matter, because they keep brand new flip flops in a drawer for customers like me. Very solid experience here. Quick and efficient mani/pedi on a work lunch break always helps the day go by pleasantly. They were able to do the pedicure and nail file/paint on my fingernails at the same time. Value is EXCELLENT as this average-priced salon. Prices are comprable to other salons in the area. The setting is very peaceful, as the nail technicians do not speak at all when they are working on you. Spa pedicure is complete with hot stone massage, warm towels, foot rub and nail painting. They use OPI products mostly, and I have not tried it, but they do have an "organic" manicure/pedicure option. Once you are finished, go sit and let your nails dry and you will have a 5-minute massage on your back and upper arms that is free - tipping is recommended - and wonderful. At first I found the prices a bit high (I had a french mani/pedi for $62). Upon leaving, I felt so pampered and relaxed that the price was no longer an issue. My manicure and pedicure were done simultaneously, which forced me to forgo reading for class while in the pedi chair and definitely helped me relax. I felt so pampered! I took my daughter (almost 6 years old) for a pedicure before vacation. They were fantastic with her - talked to her, didn't get annoyed if she accidentally moved her foot, just overall very kind. The woman even painted a flower on her big toe. My pedicure was also great for the price. Everyone we encountered here was extremely friendly. Additionally, in most nail salons the personnel chat with each other the entire time (often in another language) - here there was none of that so I never felt like I was getting talked about / snickered at. It is entirely possible that I am over-rating this salon, given that the polish application was slightly imperfect and I would have liked more thorough exfoliation. (I think the devices that work best for me may have been banned, because I never see them anymore.) Still, the amount of massage you get here for a $28 pedicure is outstanding. I saw John, and the foot and calf massage he provided were fantastic. Nearly as good (and much more unusual) was the upper back and neck massage provided by another employee during drying. I should also add that the ambiance is nice. It's not one of those places with the local news playing on a big screen TV. I keep going back, and I'm more than disappointed each time. However, my latest experience was horrific. I walked in more than 40 minutes before closing and politely asked if they had time for a manicure. They said absolutely. This is where the good part ends. The tools don't appear to be sanitized, the woman did a piss poor job of shaping my nails and I felt like she was TWEEZING off my cuticles. They looked so rough I asked her (politely) to fix them. The polish job was also AWFUL. At this point I was so frustrated, I just wanted to dry my nails and leave. at this point it was more than 15 minutes until their advertised closing time. The entire staff packed up, put on their jackets and stood around and STARED at me, as if I was inconveniencing them. If you want to close early, you should have said no to my request for a walk in appointment in the first place! I was so uncomfortable, I left without fulling drying my nails. I will never again go to Princess. Shame on me for making the mistake again and again. Don't be fooled by appearances. Came here at the last minute needing a manicure for an event later that evening. The salon looks pretty basic, but still nice and clean. I didn't have an appointment but did not have to wait on a Saturday afternoon. I just got the basic manicure. I went to pick out my polish and they have a great selection of colors with a lot of the popular brands like Essie. I ended up picking a red shimmery color. The manicurist did a very good job and it did not feel rushed. It was only $14 which I thought was very reasonable. While you're waiting for your nails to dry they offer you a complimentary massage(just don't forget to tip the guy if you do it). He did a wonderful job and it felt amazing. I don't like the fact that they charge you before you even get started. I never got my pedi they said oh he didn't charge you for one. So I paid $100 for a mani and pedi. NEVER AGAIN!!
