This company is a HUGE disappointment. They were hired to clean the carpets of our new home. The…read moreprevious occupant had cats, which we are allergic to, so we wanted to ensure that the carpet was cleaned of human and cat hair and odor. Unfortunately, Advanced Cleaning Systems could not live up to its name. When they came out to clean the carpet they did a HORRIBLE job and the did not ensure that the occupant vacuumed the carpet before they cleaned it. Instead they attempted to clean the carpet that was filled with pet hair and it left a mess of wet animal and human hair all over the house. Most carpet cleaning professionals have equipment that is strong enough to suction everything up, including hair, but not this company, which is why they should have informed the occupant that they needed to vacuum prior to the carpet being cleaned. Nevertheless, we called them to come back out and they ensured us that they would clean the carpet again between 2pm and 4pm. We waited until 6pm before they showed up. A complete waste of time and they did not even inform us that they would be so late. Then when they arrived we showed them all of the cat and human hair that we vacuumed up with our little vacuum cleaner and they guy said that his colleague should not have cleaned the carpet until the place was vacuumed. We also have pictures of all of the hair we vacuumed. He then proceeds to inform the owner that he didn't see any spots on the carpet and the owner tells us that they will not clean the carpet again because it "looks" clean, despite the fact that we just showed them tons of hair and despite that the employee just walked on this carpet with his filthy shoes on, so this speaks to their standards. The owner proceeded to inform us that we would have to pay $150 for him to clean the carpet again. Additionally, there were no spots to begin with because the carpet is less than a year old, the point of the cleaning was to remove the hair and odor. With all of this being said, we DO NOT recommend this company. They are unprofessional, a rip-off, and they did not do what they were paid to do, and they did not stand by their word of fixing the issue. They left our home without cleaning the carpet again and properly as they said they would, especially after we waited until 6pm for them. The total price paid for this service was almost $200. We will be filing a complaint with the better business bureau and updating Angie's List, but in the meantime we will call Stanley Steemer. Customer Service is key, especially when you are s small business.

When I wholeheartedly recommend Laguna Floor Care, I do so because they not only do a beautiful, professional job, but they also empathize with me. This morning, for example, I was rushing around, trying to get miscellaneous stuff picked up to make their job easier. When Laguna sensed how tense I was, he calmly assured me I didn't need to hurry, everything would work out just fine. So I got calm. That's a trait of theirs, part of their service. I'm extremely dissatisfied with the handling of my home mitigation process. I trusted them based on…read moremy insurance provider's recommendation, but the experience was unprofessional and costly. Their job was to determine if there was mold in my basement. They found none but advised me to bring in a plumber for a moisture issue, which I handled. Beyond that, Rainbow conducted additional work..removing cabinets, countertops, and flooring, widening drywall gaps, and detaching appliances--without ever obtaining my permission or notifying me 1st. I wasn't physically present to oversee the work, which they knew, yet they went ahead without my consent. When I spoke with my insurance adjuster, they expressed concern over the repair estimator's unprofessional comments, and there's been a clear lack of coordination between Rainbow and my insurer. For example, they sought flooring approval from someone at Allstate, not my adjuster, and ripped up my entire kitchen floor without consulting me. I was forced to come out of pocket thousands of dollars to address damage and repairs I never approved. The kitchen was unusable for weeks, creating an uncomfortable environment for the family living there. Then Rainbow demanded a repair deposit which was shocking to me. Throughout this process, their communication was abysmal. I was initially satisfied with the floor repairs, but I'd never trust this company nor would I recommend them. To make matters worse they installed a cabinet under my sink with incorrect measurements and a different color that I never approved of. They thought I would let that slide but I told them to correct that and to get the correct sizing and color as previously installed. This caused a further delay of additional approval requests and shipping times. 15 months later the floor panels are beginning to lift. I called to ask about a warranty. Here I am after reaching out twice...with confirmation of a callback and visit, No response for two weeks. Something told me to hold back my initial review..now I can deduct an additional star. Do better!

We recently used Rainbow International for mold that was found in our laundry area (inside our…read morekitchen). We were pleased with the quality of the work, however not with the level of communication we received from Rainbow. Not only was it not made to clear to us that during the process we would have no access to our kitchen but when we arrived home late in the evening (around 10pm) on the first day of work we could not reach someone to tell us if it was even safe to be in the house. We just came home to a 'tented off' kitchen unexpectedly. The original estimate said the work would be done in 4 days and it actually took 8 days. Not only was that 8 days we had no access to our kitchen or back door but those were 8 days immediately prior to our settling on our house and the extra days meant we could not pack up kitchen to move until the night before settlement. But our biggest concern was with the final cost of the repairs. We were given an estimate of $2964 and agreed to that cost estimate. When we received the final invoice it was for $3826. We were not at all prepared for the final cost to be nearly 30% higher than the estimate. At no point did anyone from Rainbow contact us to tell us the estimate would not hold. The work needed to be done but if it was going to be more than what was estimated we would have greatly appreciated knowing that.

I would ask for that next time because of difference in worker's idea of what needed to be done. The team (two guys) one who was very young and didn't speak, seemed to have the job at hand, under control. After only a few hrs. they text me and said they were finished. I came back to house and lots of what Ken and I talked about, was not done. I told them to call their boss for clarification. They went outside and brought their equipment back inside and began doing the things I told them they needed to. They did not call boss, just figured I was right, I guess. They said they would be there another 45 min. but it took them almost 3 more hours to complete. They did not argue or slack, after our discussion. It may have been lack of communication from management but they definitely needed close direction. They were not professional looking and did not arrive in a large enough vehicle to look like they could complete the task. All in all they did a sufficient job for the price but it took some skill to get them to complete.
