They do a great job every time. Listen to everything. When I got there I explained to her I wanted to focus more on extractions (blackheads). She did the polish, left for 10mins, came back washed off, did a scrub which felt great, did extractions for less than 1 min and not deep at all. She didn't ask if I wanted a blowout, and started blow drying my hair. They weren't transparent about pricing, and had I known a blowout would more than double the price of my haircut I would have said no. read more

I am very particular about my eyebrows and it does take a lot to satisfy me. This is my third visit here. (I've seen different ladies each time) The first time they did my brows, it was damn near perfect. The second time, even though I told her the EXACT shape and detailed how I want them to look she made them really thin. This last visit she did the shape as best as she could've (I guess ) but she forgot to trim my hair after she was done threading them!!!!! I didn't even realize it until after I left. I really only get my brows done from here, I rather pay $5 than $15-20 at mall! These ladies do a great job and also offer other services such as hair cut and Brazilian waxing--it is a spa! Upperlip $3. If someone did a good job, jot down their name and see her on the days she's there! Rule of thumb: always bring cash to Harwin/ hilcroft! If you are paying with card: $8 minimum so if you get your brows and your upper lip done then perfect!! =] Comments: this plaza can get REALLY busy! when you come at a time their not busy they'll spend more time making your brows look perfect. Come during week days or morning. If you only have Saturday's off come in the morning! Open at 10am. If you know some hairy men, bring them too! Usually they do a great job with threading my eyebrows and waxing my upper lip but yesterday I went to wax my upper lip (despite asking for it to be threaded first in which they denied that service to me and told me they could only due waxing at this moment). I agreed bc I was desperate after being in quarantine. Tell me why the lady who did my upper lip ended up leaving the wax on me too long and ended up burning me. I do not recommend going here during this quarantine. They're getting a lot of customers and they're all in a rush to finish the job to get on with the next person thus the service they're providing is lacking. When the lady who did my upper lip had finish I still had wax residual all over my lip area and nose that it ended up messing up the mask I had. Lastly, the worst part of it all is that another lady who worked there actually threaded my friend's upper lip. Some of these workers are just lazy and will try to take the faster route. If you have a lady who works here and she's your go to lady then continue their services but if you dont and you take a chance on a new worker just be aware. Oh and btw if you call and ask if your typical lady is there today! 9/10x they will lie to you and tell you that person went on vacation. read more

I got my eyebrows threaded here for the first time. The experience was better than I expected. I usually do waxing and has never done threading before. The lady was nice. They do take walk-in. One thing though is that this plaza is quite small so not a lot of parking depending on the time that you come. Their prices are pretty cheap, only 5 dollars. Bring cash. I also came back and got a henna on my hand and foot. 10 dollars for each one. I chose their designs. The price might differ if you want your own design. The henna lasted a little more than a week and then it started fading. I also got a herbal face massage which was 10-15 dollars. It was relaxing although I'm not sure what it did for my skin. If business is slow or no other customer, Ruby offers you many different services and attentive to you but it's different when she is busy like what she did to me last, she neglected to check my hair in time because she had other customer already. However, it should not be an excuse, so when she finally checked my hair color, it was "overcooked" and then pretended that nothing wrong happened. I also came here to get an updo and professional makeup done to go with my Sari that I procured from around the corner. I regularly come for eyebrow and upper lip threading. Worst experience ever. I used to come here more often but now I will NEVER go back. The women there were not busy at all but when I walked in I felt like I was inconveniencing the workers for showing up for a service Horrible customer service. I got arms waxed, the lady ripped my elbow, I actually said "Ouch"....she was completely unapologetic and said "you have dry skin" I cannot believe she even asked me if I wanted to add a tip at the end. I understand there's a pandemic ....and there are many without jobs. However, we all should be grateful for what we do have and work hard for the money we bring our families. Stopped by this salon while on the way home, I was kind of hesitant to go in as the front doesn't look so flashy. But 'cause they have pretty good reviews, I decided to put my face on trial. I was greeted and seated in 5 mins, not knowing what to expect for my first eyebrows threading. It was little bit painful at first but I kinda liked it (weird, more like a tickle, ant-biting kind of pain). She was done in 5 mins and my eyebrows looked great. I literally felt clean! Pleased with the results, I decided to try out their herbal face polish. The lady painted my whole face with some strong smell green mud that was quite burning. After 10 mins, she cleansed my face and I could feel my skin smoother, and less oily. As I am in bed writing this review 7 hours later, my skin is bright, soft and no more oil. I don't know what she applied on my face but it worked! Well, $15 for a mini herbal facial and $8 for eyebrows and upper lip threading. They even have 10 times, 1 free deal. She is so sweet and so bubbly... she works on the side where all the scarfs are hanging. The place is nice and they have nice scarfs and other stuff if your into like belly dancing.
