I should have reviewed this place ages ago. If you are concerned, as I am, about sensitive skin, then this is the place to go to. The ladies who work here understand my request to go easy and very importantly also understand my desire to not thread my eyebrows too thin. I generally request Manju to do my threading and I always come away satisfied. They are also flexible in terms of timing were you to call and say that you'd be arriving just before closing time. Prices are more than fair. Located in a non descript strip mall, the salon's facade belies its quality. There is nowhere else I'd rather go. I found this place on accident! My husband was getting a hair cut on the barber shop near by and I needed my eyebrows done and all I can say is I think I found a new eyebrow place ! I always have a hard time getting someone who understands what I want and she completely understood . She explained the process how the last place jacked up my eyebrows but to give her a few times and she can fix them she explained exactly what she was going to do before she even did it . I have been coming here twice a month for about a year now to get my eyebrows threaded($6) for their conveniently low price and they do a fantastic job EVERY TIME!! This is the only place I know of with this low of prices that will also put time and effort into what each individual customer wants. Their threading technique also makes it a lot less painful. The ladies that I always trust with my eyebrows are 1st Manjo and then Anisa herself. Mangu will provide you with that modern shape you see most celebrities with, but Anisa is great at sticking to whatever shape you had before and not altering the shape too much while doing minor touch ups. I also just tried their blackhead removal facial this week with another one of the ladies there, Nilu, and I have never seen my nose and other problematic blackhead areas SO smooth and clear. Update! It's $3 for upper lips and $6 for eyebrows (WHAT A STEAL!!) and the lady's name is Manju! I usually go to another brow place for threading but it's like a 25 minute drive from my house so I wanted something a bit closer to home. I was on another brow threading place's yelp page and found this place based off of a review! I honestly think I found my permanent threading place! I am not sure how much each service costs but I paid $9 in total before tips for eyebrows and upper lip! I'm not sure if there was a first time discount involved but that is still definitely 30-60% cheaper than other places I've been to! My eyebrows are uneven - one sides thicker and arches higher than the other - so usually when I go get threaded I get decent results. I pointed out to I believe Modgiu.. mojul?? (I'll edit this when I get her name right) after she gave me the mirror to check and she understood what I meant and fixed it PERFECTLY. This is the first time that I've been 100% happy with my threading session. Definitely will be coming back! read more

Anisa is great at eyebrow threading. She takes her time and always makes sure they are perfect. I have gone there so many times for my eyebrows and they look fabulous! She knows what she is doing and does it right. There are other ladies there that can do eyebrow threading, but Anisa is the best. I would recommend this place to anyone who want a good, inexpensive eyebrow threading. Plus, her henna work is amazing!! I wouldn't recommend a haircut tho. I've been going to Anisa Beauty Salon to get my eyebrows threaded for over 8 months and it's safe to say that this is the ONLY place in Houston that has gotten my eyebrows right each time. I've gone to other mainstream locations where the results are inconsistent - one eyebrow is arched more than the other, one eyebrow has less hair than the other - but regardless of who does my eyebrows, they turn out well. I would not recommend anyone to visit this place. My friend and I went to try this place but were highly unsatisfied. The service is not good and their behaviour towards customer is unacceptable. The experience I had was really bad. I paid the owner of this salon with credit card and also added a 2$ tip. At the same time another customer paid her in cash and gave her 2$ tip. I then went and sat waiting for my friend and suddenly she comes asking me if I took the 2$ tip which was on her table. First of all she should never ask this type of question to a customer. Her attitude and way of asking was really bad and disrespectful. She asked the same question to other customer by running after her out of the parlor. An owner is supposed to respect the customer and not doubt them as thieves. Also, the clothes they ask you to change in are unwashed and used by previous customers. Further, the bed on which they make you lie down is also unclean. I and my friend would never visit this place again. read more
