I wish we had been hungry enough to try all their baked goods. They allow dogs which was a highlight, so many cute puppies while we ate. We were surrounded by locals. Our server was the kindest woman who took time to chat with us and wished us save travels. She was so wonderful about a dairy intolerance and made sure the food was safe.

They have spared no expense in joining modern comforts wth historic charm. Love the several hidden stairways the hosts will show you. They start the fireplace every evening. Wonderful atmosphere to sip in a whisky and relax. The city of Oban just 15 minutes away is the most charming and all around best village I visited while in Scotland. Abide and Daniel picked us up and dropped us off from the bus stop that's just a bit too far to walk from in a reasonable amount of time. They were so warm and welcoming, they are really great people. They accommodated us so nicely on their last night of being open for the year before the castle's yearly break in service. We felt like we had the whole castle to ourselves - we practically did! Just sitting by the fire in the main dining hall and sipping a dram was dreamy. We were in the area for the Loch Fyne Food Fair and it was handy travel wise. We had a very warm welcome from the owners Jenifer and Alastair who are the friendliest people you will meet. The house itself is an elegant Victorian country house with pretty gardens that you can sit outside in, although the weather wouldn't allow it this time. There are splendid views over Loch Fyne to Inverary. Our room was at the front of the house and had a magnificent 4-poster bed and was immaculately decorated. The bathroom was modern and spotless. There is an inviting drawing room that you can use with a fire and glasses for you to have a drink. The breakfast was delicious and we were offered recommendations for restaurants which Jenifer booked for us. The guest house is near to Loch Fyne Oyster Bar and Inverary for sightseeing. I would highly recommend a stay here and hope to return again.

This was our favourite place to stay along the West Highland Way, but I would go back to Allt-na-Leven just to spend time enjoying that place again. Highly recommended!

This was our first time staying here and it won't be the last…read more Check in: Very smooth, we arrived early and wanted to drop our bags off, our room wasn't quite ready so Josephine took our bags and then Just gave us our room key so we could go straight to our room when we got back in. Room: Gorgeous! With a super comfy wooden framed bed, squishy pillows and a big fluffy duvet, bliss! There is a wee honesty box and a basket of water, chocolate and crisps. There is a decent sized kettle, a hair dryer and plenty of drawers to put your belongings in along with a cupboard with a rail. The room is a decent size and absolutely immaculate. The towels are fluffy and the shower has a decent flow and gets nice and hot. The shower gel and shampoo smell amazing! I'm going to ask where they are from so I can get some. There is one tiny drawback about the room and it's the location. It's right next to the front door and the dining room so you hear people, chatting and checking in. I think this room is a great option for somebody who may struggle to get upstairs but I think you should be asked if you mind having the room because of it's location. Don't get me wrong nobody has been over loud but you are aware of the people passing the room. One other wee thing, the selection of tea, coffee and hot choc is great and this is just a personal thing it would be nice to have maybe some peppermint or fruit tea in the options too. Breakfast: lush! You get a piece of paper the night before and circle the things you want on your cooked breakfast. There is a continental option too. In the dining room there is an assortment of cereals, yogurt and fruit. The bacon is yummy, really thick slices and really tasty. You get a decent sized portion. I ate over 4 hours ago and I'm not even peckish :-) Highly recommended! We will be back

The house is beautiful, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the metro stop is just a short walk from the front door, and the owners, Marion and Frank are some of the sweetest people you'll ever meet...it was the perfect place to spend our 2 nights in Glasgow. There is so much to do within walking distance from Ashton, it is the perfect place for those looking to explore Glasgow. The breakfast offerings were coffee or tea, cereals and yogurt, freshly cut fruit, toast, and croissants...no eggs or other hot offerings but sometimes you just can't have everything! Our room was on the small side and Marion offered to let us switch rooms on the second night but for us it was just fine as we really weren't in it much anyways! We shared a bathroom with the room next door which can be a bit awkward at times but everyone staying was very polite and we made it work. Marion even let us park our rental car around back for our stay which we were very grateful for. One notable downside is that they don't offer wi-fi at all which, for us, was a bit of a bummer...but we made do on our phones. Overall we really enjoyed our stay at Ashton Glasgow, the location and the hospitality would be very difficult to beat!

Location: if you like travelling and like your highlands, islands, and scenery, this is a must. Great location, easy to find. Gorgeous. Breakfast: WOW. Loved it. Quality and Quantity -- had both. Also the girlfriend had choice of fruits and cereals -- I went for full English. Landlords: great bunch, very friendly; welcoming and talkative, but also understand that as soon as you are in you want a shower and a cup of tea. We travelled by car -- plenty of spaces. Had loads of pubs and restaurants (I like my food). Landlord recommended great places for walks and leisure for girlfriend. Great trip. Great B+B.
