I know I never post reviews and mine seems biased but hear me out. I went to Sacramento State for 4…read moreyears and dropped out after going through some majors I didnt enjoy. After a break for a semester, I decided to look into programs I might have interest in and I discovered NCE Optician Technician! It's been going on for sometime but it was new to me! I got a call from Keenan and I thought I was getting into something shady... but I had nothing to lose. I decide to show up to the meeting and Keenan showed enthusiasm and he knew his position really well. I won't lie he got me into this program with a little nudge and I'm glad I got in! My first day in the Optician class seemed very intimidating but also refreshing. Everyone seemed eager to learn. Mr. C was an amazing teacher, gets straight to the point, teaches you what you need to know and if you have any questions that he might not know, he will find the answer pretty quickly. Mr. C has a very fun personality and honestly, I will miss this program. The counseling was great, the financial staffs gets straight to the point on your financials, and they help you with your externship! I'm starting my externship on Tuesday and I'm super excited! I hope whoever is reading this, whoever has bad eyesight and want to learn more about eyes, consider Optician Technician! It's a fun learning experience and I believe if a drop out can do it, you can!

Overall, I learned a lot and I feel very prepared for the journeyman test. My only thing is that I…read morewish we spent more time on commercial.

The length was over 2 1/2 years. I started January 2020 and finished August 2022. I would have appreciated the transparency upfront during the admissions process. Some students were there longer than me. I'd recommend clarifying this during the admissions process if you plan on attending this school. The instructors were overall great. Some would go out of their way to schedule one on one tutoring sessions if a student needed it. I really felt that I had support if I needed it. The legal instructors were very knowledgeable in the field and taught skills and tasks that are used in the legal field. I had the pleasure of attending while Linda Gardenhire was Department Chair and then Eric Fernandez when she retired. They were both amazing and supportive throughout my whole program. They were very personable and I felt like they genuinely really cared about the success of their students. I happened to have Eric as an instructor for Contract Law and Advanced Legal Research and Writing. These classes were definitely a challenge for me, I made sure to meet with Eric early on and communicate this to him. He did a great job clarifying and helping me through the challenging assignments. He really pushed me out of my comfort zone and challenged me to be better. The class material mirrors what paralegals do in the field and will help prepare anyone looking to succeed in the legal field.

The kids where so mean and got NO punishment for bullying me , teachers always believed the other students and gave me MANY write ups to the point I was in the principals office for standing up for myself. For many years I would go home hungry because kids threw away my lunch and cafeteria said I would have had to pay for another lunch and the teachers did nothing about it I tried to speak up about my problems and they never cared. They where incredibly rude to my parents one time they rolled their eyes at them. Some of these people saying that this is an amazing school baffles me because I was crying almost every night because of the rudeness and the amount of unfair that they did I wrote something personal in my diary. It was about the students that mentally hurt me. to be honest sometimes even physically hurt me I wrote a list saying on how much I hated them and they took that out of context and they rushed me up to the office made me dump out my backpack and went through my diary without consent. They questioned me without an adult present mind you I was about six maybe and I hated my state of mental health by six so I didn't care what they did. I was just scared because they were questioning me and doing a bunch of weird things with each other and they were like whispering so my six-year-old mind did not know what was going on. I would like to say that Miss Ryan was one of my favorite teachers because not all of the teachers were horrible. I can name like only four teachers that I liked in the entire school. it was like picking apples from a tree with those teachers they were like oh we like them so we're gonna make your experience bad. I was removed after fourth grade because I just could not continue going to school with the kids that were a part of that I would 100% not send your kids to that school . I hated my time there and if you want your child at this school just take this as a warning. (just as a little thing, they didn't do any assault. They were just extremely unfair and rude.'
