The front office staff are terrible and have no training. They charged a deductible on top of my copay. My insurance does not call for deductible but when asked the office staff all said that both fees have to be paid and had the most rude attitude. Only after the insurance company confirmed that only copay was required they still didn't want to refund the deductible. Having to deal with incompetent, rude and mean staff in addition to the stress of it while you're on a visit to the doctor to get better is not the experience anyone should have. Steer clear of this practice. read more

I have a long-term condition that I had avoided getting a diagnosis and treatment for. I went in to see Dr. Nguyen for an unrelated issue. He looked at all my blood work and test results, diagnosed and treated the complaint I went in for, and then immediately (gently) called out the other issue that I had been avoiding all that time. Got that condition under control with a good treatment plan. I feel much better now, and am really grateful that he was watching out for my health and well-being in a holistic way. read more

The front office staff are so bad as they kept asking my wife like 3 times if she speaks Spanish, I guess because of her last name but she doesn't speaks a word in Spanish. One time the Doctor (NGuyen) had an intern during my visit and he "Shush me" in front of the intern because he wanted the intern to understand the procedure, yes he "Shush me", I was like an I am a person or an object in this office, not very polite from him and soooo unprofessional. I don't know who exactly I talked to at the front desk via phone but they were so rude! I was asking for help changing my pcp to this office and I was yelled at like a 6 year old with them saying "Listen I will tell you one more time call the insurance and tell them!" like that was helpful. and then furthermore they kept saying I have so many people with the same plan as you why are you having an issue? Like I apparently wanted to argue with them!! This has also happened to my mother when she called to inquire about changing where her prescriptions are being sent to. Whoever this person is needs a lesson in hospitality and manners. I never once raised my voice or talked in a condescending manner like they did. Doctor Uy needs to get rid of this person on the phone. I think if I went to Walmart would've had better customer service. TLDR: Avoid calling the office and avoid this practice and find a different doctor if possible. Edit 3:40pm- Had to call again about fixing the referral and the woman had the most annoyed tone ever. "I've been explaining this to you all morning!" well I fixed all the issues without your help... I just needed them to fix 2 names on a referral and it was like i asked her to pull her own teeth out like what the hell. I kept being talked over and it was honestly my breaking point. once I find a better doctor this office can go to hell. If you are thinking of ever having this doctor as your pcp run the furthest direction you can. the staff here are hellbent on not helping you at all. god forbid you have questions or concerns because they will make it worse! read more

The receptionist is very rough, cutting in the patient in the middle of the conversation. She gets pay to listen and reply, right? Well, she didn't listen but rude, yelling...Find another job if you don't like this or if you are the Dr.'s spouse then please give him a break by going to work somewhere else or going back to school to learn about customer services. The service you provide is reckless, non-education, non-ethical...and should be eliminated in the public service. read more

Dr Uy is an amazing and responsive doctor. Dr Uy and his staff provide excellent customer service. I've been going to him for over 20 years. He responds quickly and gives me results fast compared to other doctors. I recommend Dr Uy and his office as your primary care doctor. He's reliable and offers great care. read more

Writing this review after 4 months since my first and last visit to this doctor's office as I've been following up with them for 4 months to correct my bill. I went there for a regular preventive check-up. I clearly said 'regular preventive care'. Since it was my first visit, they recommended some tests. I went ahead only to realize I was charged with $200 bill from the lab. On top of that some of the tests that they did had faulty results so I had to do the tests again- Again to be charged for it when they clearly said it would be backdated and covered from my initial visit. Every time I received bill from the lab I called them up and they said they are working with the lab to sort it out. But clearly they didn't as I ended up paying everything. I held off paying at the beginning but I started to receive LCA collection notice and I had to pay to avoid my credit damage. They don't pick up there phone easily. And they don't call you back to update you EVER even when you request them to. Total rip off and very POOR service. I don't recommend a visit to this doctor's office. If you happen to go anyways, make sure you know what tests they recommend you since it might be completely unnecessary and you might end up bearing the cost. Good luck!!! read more

Pro tip: this practice has moved locations and is no longer in Arlington. The new address is at 7202 Poplar St, Annandale, VA 22003. As far as physicians go, Dr. Uy is a pretty great guy. He will take the time to address all of your health issues, and does a great job at explaining everything to you until you understand. He is very nice, and is not the shove-it-down-your-throat kind of doc. Highly recommend! read more

The new location is such an upgrade compared to the first location. In the building, there's Procare Pharmacy and Nguyen Medical Practice. The Pharmacy portion is run by the wife while the medical practice is run by the husband. There's wayy more parking spots compared to the first location which is great. It's simply accessible by bus because it's one block away from Columbia Pike. I made an appointment for my dad at 10AM and decided to update my moms profile while I was here as well. Their systems are fully high tech- rarely any paper flying around anymore. The new staff seems a little confused and flustered. A little less friendly as well. I really miss the old staff. It was nice to walk in though and see one familiar face from the old location. The rooms are way larger and looks more professional. We were seen 16 minutes after our appointment which is pretty good timing on a Saturday. I remember waiting at least 30 minutes for an appointment I made ahead in the past. They have a trilingual staff in both Spanish and Vietnamese and of course English which helps me since my dads Viet but I can't speak a lick of it. I highly recommend them :) read more

His office may not seem very glamorous, but the care is first rate. Dr Nguyen is very pleasant to work with, and an excellent diagnostician. He often gets to the root of the problem right away. I am often able to get in to see him within 24 hours of my call, which is also a nice perk. read more

Dr. Nguyen is a great doctor. I have been a patient for over 10 years. I am able to get same day appointments when the need arises. His office has been updated and the examining rooms are clean and yet simple. As a techie, I am glad he now prints out prescriptions so you can see what is being prescribed before going to pharmacy. read more

the person on the phone that was talking to me was very rude. they had called me to schedule an appointment for my father and when i called back questioning what the appointment was for the response was "oh my god you're dad is sick!!" raising her voice and the tone in her voice the rest of the call was not helpful because she would not accommodate to my questions and worries. i'm just a daughter that's worried about her father and the way they handled this made me sick to my stomach. I should be able to ask questions with ease not be yelled at for my fathers well being. read more

He's office is at the apartment / condo complex, which it never stated on his main website. I was a new patient, so I believed that I was at the wrong address. I called several times for direction, which the young lady never stated me its in the basement at a complex. When I did arrived, the lady check me in. She never informed me that I had to wait for a hour because I was later due to it was any heaf sign up about the office on front of the building. A business sign will indicate to others the location of the business. Righ?! I had to address the young lady at the front desk about the waiting time. Upon recommendation I decided to make an appointment with Dr. Nguyen. Parking may be limited but street parking is available and not very far from the practice. Making the appointment was super easy via the website. I was called a day later by the apologetic and friendly staff that the doctor would not be available the time I selected and I was offered several alternative time and dates. The office is newly decorated with contemporary design done tastefully. The sitting area is modern, all areas including the restroom are super clean. I was greeted with a smile and all the staff are friendly. My wait time was 10 minutes. Dr. Nguyen is friendly, knowledgeable and very caring. He took the time to answer all my dumb question and addressed any concerns I had. He actually went beyond my medical needs and made some recommendation in terms of diet and exercise to keep me in good health. He genuine cared for my health and well being which you don't always see in the medical field which is A plus in my book. read more
