I would give 0 stars if I could.. but I can't. I literally had to make a Yelp account just to write this review. I've never been more angry after a haircut in my life. I've never seen someone spend so much time going back and fourth from sideburn to sideburn.. just to remove them completely.... ... my barber literally didn't cut the hair on top of my head... just the sides and back. He literally smiled at me as he put gel in my hair (gel before cutting? Must be a new method) don't worry he forgot to cut my hair anyway so we couldn't test out his new method... ....At this point I didn't even want to ask if he could cut it because I didn't want him to f*ck my haircut any more than he already had. It's a good thing I let him know that I had my wedding pictures this weekend.. he really made sure to f*ck my hair up. This is the problem with trying new barber shops.. my own fault I guess.. just didn't think a barber could f*ck up someone's hair that bad, especially when it's their 'profession' I suggest you don't make the same mistake as me.. read more

I created an account on Yelp just to review this place. Went in for a beard trim, and Andrew did an outstanding job. He checked all the boxes: friendly, efficient, and importantly, knows his way with scissors (every other place I've ever been to for a beard trim used clippers, which takes more volume off than I'd like and leaves the ends a shaggy mess. Yes, scissors, please - and Andrew delivered.) I split my time between Chicago and New York for work and will from now on be coming to this place for all my hair and beard needs. If you want a great trim at a great price (did I mention my beard trim was only $8? The place I used to go to in Chicago charges a hipster special price of $15) in a laid back, local, and friendly place, look no further. read more

Went here for the first time because of the rave reviews. Lada was available and I was so lucky :) She gave me an awesome cut and did my beard better than anyone ever has. I'm going back to her for sure. She heard me out and went with it but made adjustments to help me really get the cut I wanted. It's been two weeks since my cut and it has grown inn great. A throw back atmosphere, employee's that acknowledge your presence and don't tray you like an inconvenience, I had a genuinely pleasant experience. What a bummer came to Rudy's, the closest barber shop to my house and I have such a awful experience I can never go back... I have a very simple crew cut my one and only request was to leave my sideburns the same length I could not have made it any clearer to the guy cutting my hair.. "yup yup sure thing I got you" he said 3 min late he buzzed off the whole sideburn about 4 inches of it... then laughed about it that it was funny because I told him not to and he did... never again. read more

Stopped in to get my undercut touched up. I walked in and was able to get in a chair right away. We chatted briefly about what I wanted (kept it simple this time - just a 1). Great set of guys, Rudy and Andrew! Although only Andrew cuts my hair, I love to see those two in the shop. Andrew always knows what style best fits my face and head shape. Some barbers or hair stylus will just let you do whatever to your hair without letting you know that it may not fit you. Not Andrew. He listens to what you want and if he doesn't believe it's best for you, he'll tell you. Then you two will talk about it again, come to an agreement and he'll make sure that you understand what he's about to cut for you before doing it. read more

I've known and have been getting my hair cut by Rudy and Val since I was a teenager. Rudy has seen me grow through the years (about 20 years). Needless to say that i trust him with giving me a great cut as well as his opinion and advice. When the topic of marriage came up Rudy offered to help me when it came time to buy an engagement ring. There was no doubt Rudy would give me his honest opinion and walk me through the process. I can't tell you enough how beautiful and perfect the ring I purchased is. He has fantastic service, i had times when i was running late i gave rudy a call he stayed open till i made it there. his haircuts and shaves are the best in queens yet, he recently opened up a "we buy gold" and i got top cash back for my old junk! i highly recommend him to all. he has hands of gold! and cheep haircuts too! read more
