Misleading and unethical practices George Ruiz and Carolina Cano are greedy liars! Ruiz made false allegations against the other party in order to prolong the divorce process and charge more for their mistakes and time. When confronted about the false accusations he gave attitude and apologized. He doesn't know how to speak professionally to his clients. He has tantrums when things don't go his way in court. He runs when he sees a stronger attorney in court. He isn't qualified unless it's pushing papers around. He doesn't have a back bone. He will easily sign up for the job and take your $$$ as a retainer. But when it comes to the work, he runs, hides behind the ladies in the office. When asked to step down as my attorney and requested my balance- HE WROTE UP A FAKE INVOICE TO CHARGE FOR CALLS/ SERVICES HE NEVER PERFORMED. Where do I start, I paid the agreed-upon retainer fee, but I was surprised to see that it was quickly depleted, and my account has since accrued charges that have more than doubled the initial retainer amount in less than a month. This is particularly concerning as I have not yet set foot in court, with my court date still scheduled for the end of October 2024. To my dismay, I recently learned that my account has already been sent to collections. I feel that this is unjust, given that I have not received adequate communication regarding the billing or the specific services rendered to warrant such expenses. Your office clearly over charges or makes mistakes because you sent me a $9000 bill and demanded payment that week on August 20 and when I said there is no way I can pay that by Friday you emailed back saying it was a mistake and reduced it to $2200. And I text you about the payment plan and the amount to put in and you never responded. Only to tell me you need everything paid by Friday, then that everything needed to be paid before Court. Then I told you I couldn't afford for you to keep running the bill and asked if I paid everything before court if I can have everything you had worked on. YOU Brandi Aguillon said yes. Then sent me to collections the two weeks later. Court is on 10/24 and now I was told by another attorney reviewing my case that this was completely over billed. I am forced to file with the State Bar of Texas because I was sent to collections before my custody court date and two weeks after speaking with you. Custody/Child Support case was dragged on for months. only when bad things happened was when I received immediate services. in which, my children and I are grateful for and have given the extra star. Now, after paying over $11k I would have expected more direct conversations with the attorney, however the conversations were mostly on a email basis with his paralegal. Felt impossible to speak w him directly, almost as if he were the president of United States. Needless to say, he has a personal relationship with the third party attorney and somehow switched my script as if I did something wrong. Mind you, I have spoken to him myself less than a hand full of times over a 16 month period. Even after the lengthy process I still cannot get a case closed or even child support adjusted. Therefore, he decides to withdraw. Sometimes it's easier to walk away after taking everything from a family and walk away with no sympathy. As a client I wouldn't trust an attorney that knows the other parties. Lesson learned. Oh side note, your itemized invoices will be ridiculously billed for emails going back and forth between the attoneys, yet you have no proof of those emails. read more

This was the absolute worst experience with an attorney I or my wife have ever had. Extremely unprofessional, the girls in his office seem to get cycled out every other month and they charge you for everything. Now you would expect to pay for most things but it gets ridiculous quick. Want to call the office only to have the lady answer and say "I don't know" or "George isn't in"? You'll get charged for that. Every text message, email and anything else you can thing of, cha-ching! Our case took well over a year and we constantly had to keep the retainer fee filled for him to withdraw from, it seemed like a bottomless pit. He didn't even feel like he was on our side nor did he care about our situation or case and only cared about getting paid. Beyond that he rarely ever communicates with you, then when the court date comes he constantly has to "prepare for court" and charges you a couple thousand dollars even when he already prepared and the court date just gets pushed out a week. I was in dire needfor advice on Family Law. Call Ruiz and associates. The person who called me was arrogant, would not allow me to speak, made a quick assessment based on one sentence. He blamed ME that my grandson hasn't been returned because I allowed him to go skateboarding with his biological "father". How is it my fault that his father continues to violate the custody court order. He also stated that SAPD went to Pokice "Academy " but he went to Law School. Not very professional of him to reference the SAPD in a negative comparison. Maybe he went to "Law SCHOOL" but manners are taught to you at home, which he didn't have. read more

They have constantly been available for us. I know they have multiple clients and I am not the only one, but they really make you feel like you are the number one priority. It is greatly appreciated.
