Spent a couple hours priming my cabinets on a Saturday and said he'd be back Monday. Texted that his mom had an accident on Monday and he wouldn't be back until Tuesday. Tuesday was a no call/no response/no show. Had some other painters out to look at the work that was done and it is not good. Should have sanded the cabinets and taken the hinges off differently so they did not get paint on them. Drips and blobs everywhere. Never responded regarding refunding the initial payment. This also does not appear to be a legitimately registered business in the state of Indiana. DO NOT HIRE.

I was stuck in a horrible position with the property management company I was working with and being out of state only made it worse. I searched for a contractor to help me get the properties fixed and rented out so I could finally make some income. I found a Val here on yelp and we began to communicate. Since the very beginning Val has been responsive, kind, understanding, knowledgeable, professional and attentive. He provided me with estimates for work that need to be done and we went forward. The properties were rehabbed thanks to Val and not only did it and there. Val went out of his way to meet with potential tenants to show them the properties during the day while he was working on other projects for other customers. He must've showed those properties to a couple dozen people and eventually he helped me decided on tenants. Val even helped me find a good lease agreement. Does it end there? Nope. Val continue to help me and get the lease agreement signed by the tenets. He mailed me lease agreements, first months rent and deposits through money orders in the mail. That's it's right? Again no. Doesn't end there. Soon after the property is rented out small issues came up with tenets mostly regarding the plumbing. Val was quick to show up to the properties and take care of the issues. Of course none of this was free, but was it worth what I paid. Absolutely. Now is this the end? No. After this experience with Val I have decided on one thing. I will continue to invest in properties in Indianapolis and I will only work with Val. He is a one stop shop and I know that working with him I will be OK. We are first-time homeowners. When our gutters EPICALLY failed on Day 3, the day after they were…read moreprofessionally cleaned, I panicked. I contacted Val who immediately got back to me, did research on the property from the listing photos, and diagnosed the problem instantly. The next day, I got an estimate much less than another company's, and Val was continuously in contact with me at all times. We scheduled to do the gutter replacement about a week after the first conversation, and his crew arrived on time and got the work done without fuss. But here's the best part: not only did he look at the roof for me because I told him I was concerned about my inspection report's inadequacy, he surveyed almost everything on the exterior of my house. He identified roof issues, vent issues, pointed out rot, noted where things were installed cheaply, etc. He didn't pressure us into any work, he simply laid out the things my inspector should have caught, sent me pictures, and gave me advice for how and when to address some of the issues. He was honest in explaining much of this is on our dime. He was also frank in saying the inspector should give us the extent of the money laid out in the contract because he did such a poor job. He also was clear in that so long as I don't have stains on my ceiling, it wasn't an emergency, so I didn't feel pressured, I felt educated. I'm going to fix this house. The next time he fixed the corner of my kitchen that got damaged by my son. And again when my plumbers cut a huge hole in my shower he fixed that as well. Also had to have a new lock installed as the one my original locksmith provided was of very poor quality as well as my previous door installer did a horrible job of installing the door so he fixed that. I would have had him install the door but didn't know at the time he could have done that. Right now he is working on my new house finishing the garage and installing electrical fixtures. The reason I contacted Bowersock originally was because of great reviews...He responded to me…read morequickly and I hired him..Ours was a total kitchen remodel..Even some structural changes..He brought with him a man to give an estimate for new cabinets..He turned out to be a great guy who did amazing work...As the work began and progressed, Kevin was easy to work with and he did fine work..He would even go the extra mile, here and there...He sub-contracted our porcelain tile floor, and paid them from the total of our contract with him...It looked very nice, when completed...The job finished and we had a lovely kitchen..We were very pleased..The job finished in early July, 2016.. So why the low rating?..We are still entangled with Kevin Bowersock..About 2 months after the job finished, the grout in our new floor began to crack and even break out...I informed Kevin, and then contacted the company, Local Hands, who had done the tile..They were very slow to get back to me, but finally did and in November 2016 a man from Local Hands came by and looked at the floor...He absolutely agreed that it needed to be fixed...They finally arrived to re-grout in January 2017...Within 6 weeks the tile began to crack again...I emailed Kevin to let him know of the issue and tried to contact Local Hands..They have never again responded to me... Of course, I had to go back to Kevin with this issue..The tile needed to be fixed and it was ultimately his responsibility...I sent emails back and forth with Kevin between March and August of 2017, with no resolution.. Many emails later, in December 2017, Kevin got back to me and we agreed to address the issue the first of 2018...Many emails later I heard from Kevin in March...No resolution... In April of this year, we had a flooring company come to remove and replace the tile, properly...That, nearly 2 years after the tile was originally done..The cost was $3,252.31...We paid for our tile floor twice...Kevin ignores most emails...He finally called me in July, he acknowledged that the cost was his responsibility and offered a payment monthly, until it was paid..We got the first payment almost immediately and nothing since...And again, he ignores my emails... Kevin does very good work, unless something goes wrong..Then, I wish you good luck..I suppose we will end up in court..
