The black and bleu shrimp was absolutely amazing. It's got blackened spice and has this creamy sauce that makes you go dip for more (I need that recipe honestly). If I had some bread, I'd definitely use this as a dip lol. We got the thin crust Sicilian pizza to share. The pizza unfortunately was very wet and kind of soggy. I think they could have waited to let it rest for a few min before serving because it would especially show when we were separate the slices and try to take one off the plate. I don't usually want my toppings and cheese to just slide off the pizza. Also since we were at a bar w/ some of the games going on, we wanted wings and got their crispy whole wings in a dry spice rub. Plus, I haven't been to an actual event at the arena since it first opened & this bar is located on 5th Ave right behind PPG Paints Arena. A bunch of us gathered here before & after a concert at the arena & what a great place. Old school Pittsburgh bar, with friendly staff & when crowded the patrons spill out onto the street. The bartender even offered me a free beer since she told me I was waiting too long (I actually wasn't) & the owner, Jim, gave us bar logo tee shirts when we came back after the show. A couple days ago a friend of mine from Chicago told me that this bar is in his top five bars in the USA and that he used to always visit here whenever he came to Pittsburgh! It's a popular gathering spot before & after hockey games & concerts.

On the side they give you a small portion of tarter sauce, which wasn't nearly enough for how much fish was on the sandwich. It was in need for a bit more flavor, so we requested hot sauce. Tabasco was free (other sauces were 50 cents) but unfortunately the bottle stated it expired in June of 2023. It didn't have any spice left and was a brownish color, so I didn't want to put it on my fish. The chips on the side were good, seasoned with salt and pepper. Overall the fish sandwich was good and a large portion, it just needed more sauce or maybe seasoning on the batter to give it more flavoring. For $15, I would recommend supporting a Firehall or Church fish fry that provides more sides with their menu items for the same quality.

All in all, I'd return again if it can be guaranteed that Jessie will be our bartender, or that whoever is there was trained by Jessie to do the job.
