While the students and staff displayed respect and competency, Scott uniquely showed a lack of either. During the 1 hour training sessions, Scott would regularly begin class about 15 minutes late chatting or bragging about his personal skill in fighting, and when he actually began class, he would spend most of his time on his phone and forget what exercises he asked us to do. There is no training plan, neither in a day or throughout the year - he arbitrarily assigns exercises. Quite frankly, for the price, you will receive the same training from obtaining a regular gym membership and watching youtube. The only benefit that training under Scott provides is the chance to spar and train with other fighters who have already had training elsewhere. Competency aside, there is the aspect of respect. While the terms are thrown around casually in the current political landscape, Scott is genuinely sexist. When women are not present in the room, he enjoys leading conversations about how women are less capable or motivated than men. In one particular incident, he spent the first 15-30 minutes of a class chatting with other men how women spend their time chatting instead of training. It's frankly pathetic. Scott tries so hard to act masculine that he only comes across as a little insecure boy. What a joke. Overall, while I would recommend the gym, I would not recommend any program under scott. Edit: After posting this review, Scott called me to tell me to take down the review. He informed me that for posting this review publicly, I am pathetic and that it confirmed every negative thing he thought about me. He literally challenged me to fight him at the gym to prove how manly he is. Very masculine.

The gym itself is a very well managed facility with plenty of the latest equipment, ample space for multiple WODs going on at the same time, and a shower/changing room. The gym is kept clean and is located in the middle of downtown, making it a convienient location from across the Pensacola Area. Gil Petruska, the owner, if very flexible with regard to membership to meet any member needs. There is generally good crossfit equipment at any gym, an this gym is no exception. However, what sets the gym apart is the atmosphere and the staff/coaches. Gil, the head trainer and owner, puts his heart and soul into his business providing high-quality programming, a welcoming yet competitive atmosphere and by genuinely caring for his athletes. The assistant coaches bring a wealth of certifications, knowledge and experience as well. There are many walks of life that compete on a daily basis at the gym - working moms, military, business people, aspiring college athletes and mostly people who want to become more fit and healthy. The first thing I noticed is how clean and organized the gym was. Next I felt welcomed and the members were very encouraging. Joe the owner is knowledgeable and attentive. The classes are fun, and with a bad shoulder I didn't feel pressured to do anything I wasn't able to do. Joe listened and modified things for me so I could still get a great workout without further injuring my shoulder. Classes are focused and intense. Great for beginners as well as advanced. Before finding this practice, I endured four emergency room visits and multiple appointments with my primary care physician, who repeatedly, and incorrectly diagnosed me with hypertension and prescribed medication I didn't need. My blood pressure remained normal at home, and I knew deep down that the root cause of my vertigo was being missed. Desperate for answers, I found an ENT on my own, who recommended vestibular rehabilitation with Dr. Watkins. I'll be honest: the first visit was difficult, and we had to stop early. However, I noticed immediately afterward that my dizziness improved when turning my head on the pillow-a small but significant victory. I was hesitant to return, but encouraged by my husband and my own intuition, I went back for a second session. After just 15 minutes of specialized vestibular physical therapy, my vertigo and dizziness completely disappeared. It felt like I was a new person. No one else was able to provide the correct diagnosis or relief until I walked into Legendary Performance. Dr. Watkins is incredibly caring, professional, and--most importantly--highly knowledgeable. His diagnostic skills gave me my life back. If I ever experience these symptoms again, I wouldn't hesitate for a second to return. Thank you, Dr. Watkins!
