My beady eye spotted the cakes under their glass domes; but my tea had been so substantial I will just have to wait until my next visit to give them a try. I will return because as well as the great food it was value for money. There was friendly service and some nice objects for sale. There were paperbags filled with old fashioned sweeties, lots of handmade crafts and a little glass and wooden case filled with affordable and quirky vintage costume jewellery. You could enjoy your tea and then go shopping for the kind of things you usually have to hunt hard to find!
