This was my first time coming here and it was glorious. …read more A friend of mine has a membership so he invited me as a guest. Upon walking in they have a long desk with what looks like a coffee or smoothie bar behind it and then a row of free towels on the end of the counter from which guests can choose. If you're visiting and not a member, you do have to fill out a liability/waiver form and then you walk down the hall to get to the gym. . The locker rooms are on the first floor, the men's LR is labeled, "John" & the women's is labeled, "Jane". The space is colorfully designed and has a sleek, curvature aesthetic. Picture arch entry ways, gold oval-shaped mirrors, plush throne chairs & neon decor lights. . There are several levels and the floral carpeted stairs lead to a lounge, a room with weights and exercise machines, and another long hall that will take you to the treadmills, ellipticals, and stairclimbers. The space is also pretty clean and they offer complimentary toiletries including lotion, shampoo, conditioner and shower gel. . The lockers come with dial locks, but they are tricky to use and no instructions on how to were posted. I kept mine unlocked and all of my belongings were present post workout. The greatest amenities live on the ground floor being the sauna, outdoor jacuzzi & pool. Although it was overcast today, I still got a good soak. . Right now, they are offering a promotion for two months free until February 12th. If you're in the abundant area of West Hollywood, be sure to check them out!

Love coming to this gym it always meets all my needs. The lighting is superb. The workout is best.read more

I joined after the upstairs renovation was completed, so I'll say that is my frame of reference…read more Overall a solid gym, though expensive for what it is. That said, the employees do seem engaged with cleaning consistently (unlike older reviews that note otherwise). The majority of equipment is new upstairs also. The star deduction really is due to value, and some of the members. Most of course seem fantastic and respectful. That said, there is definitely a bit of an entitled culture where some will do circuits and expect to own 3 different machines simultaneously. They will say they were using it and I respectfully let them know they can work in with me if they'd like...These types also have difficulty with re-racking the weights and leaving towels/trash around, but thankfully staff has been good about keeping things tidy.

What happened to the cycling/spin classes? They are all gone. The room is closed. Actually most of…read morethe entire bottom floor is closed. For months. Renovations. But the monthly dues went up. I'm so perplexed that I'm paying more for several months for services that don't exist. This has been going on for a long while. It's all for the greater good to offer less but raise the monthly dues and pay more now so that future members will enjoy it later, right comrades? The manager did say in an email that we are a "collective". So we have to pay more for less. For the "collective". No apologies. No more cycling. I guess less is more at this Equinox. It's fun to read and see that a lot of the recent five stars are because they were comped with free workouts. And in a year or so, maybe it's done (?) and the manager will send an email out again "our renovations are almost finished! Because of our improvements, we are raising your monthly fee to ...."

The coolest of people of all ages and races and truly the opposite of anything bougie. You won't find people posting on Instagram here but you just might see a movie star and a studio head sweating next to you. This place is the definition of cool. Easton's owner Toby and his passionate staff have facilitated a respectful and supportive community over a long period of time where all bodies are welcome, member input is prioritized, and most importantly, re-racking your weights and putting shit back where you found it is the norm! Working out at Easton feels like being part of a long tradition in Los Angeles. Even though the equipment isn't as new or exciting as other places and "it doesn't have air conditioning!" as everyone LOVES to say, nothing beats working out within Easton's beautiful brick walls, amongst vintage windows that catch a refreshing cross-breeze and dumbbells that look like they were carried by strong men in the 1940's. Easton rarely gets frustratingly crowded, and its members overall are simply RESPECTFUL, relaxed, authentic, and make this the type of business you can only find in Los Angeles. I love Easton gym!

I've been attending the BX classes at Brick for about 5 years, it is my go-to HIIT style class…read more It's always challenging! The format changes on a daily basis, so it's never boring. The class is a combination of cardio (assault bikes, rowers, tru form treadmills) and strength exercises (TRX, dumbbells, TRX, body weight). If you like a fast paced workout that will always leave you drenched with sweat, you'll love the BX classes! However, I was inspired to write this review as a word of caution. This class is NOT for beginners! Of course everyone can go at their own speed, use light weights, etc.... but if you don't have at least basic knowledge of common movements and some prior cardio experience, this is going to be too much to just waltz into. I have personally witnessed someone inexperienced with this style of class come in for their first visit and have to leave halfway through the class because you really can't just jump right into something of this level. But if you walk in prepared and you know what you're getting into, you'll really enjoy yourself!

I joined Brick eight months ago and have seen great improvements. I've been part of many CrossFit gyms around the country and Brick is certainly one of the very best. The coaches actually coach, correct, instruct and encourage you. They even pointed out how poor my flexibility was and showed me stretches to do. My form is just as good if not better than it was during my peak CrossFit days. Working on strength and endurance still but having great time doing it. Highly recommend.

I actually really liked this studio, which is why this experience was so disappointing…read more The space is beautiful, the classes are great, and the instructors are very good. Pricing is also quite reasonable compared to many other boutique fitness studios in LA. So overall, I had a very positive impression at first. However, something happened that completely changed my perception. On the day of one of my classes I unfortunately got sick. I messaged the studio asking if it would be possible to move the booking to another day. Instead, I was told that because I didn't cancel 8 hours in advance, I would still be charged and there was also a $30 fee. I understand that studios need cancellation policies, but getting sick is obviously not something you can plan the day before. I was hoping for at least a little flexibility or understanding. What surprised me even more was the response I received after I tried to explain the situation. The tone felt quite dismissive and I was essentially told that if I didn't like the policy I could go somewhere else. That interaction unfortunately left a very negative impression. It's a shame, because the studio itself is genuinely nice and I had enjoyed the classes. I'm sharing this simply so others are aware of the policy and the approach to situations like this before booking.

They had Pilates reformer classes, freebies in the locker room, healthy bites and drinks, a dj, some games and a Photo Booth! It was truly a great time. I wasn't able to take one of the reformer classes since they were all booked for the day, but nonetheless less I really enjoyed the space and my time here. It was extremely tricky to find parking though! This area had lots of permitted streets, so you have to be lucky to snag a metered parking.
