Posted on marketplace for sale some dumbbells. Was able to reserved some dumbbells for advanced payment. Very quick with communication. Went inside and saw beautiful clean exercise place. She helped me to bring the dumbbells downstairs. Thank you

    Pristine workout studio.

When my favorite fitness studio closed right before the pandemic, I took way too long of a hiatus before finding Pvolve. But once I did, I never looked back! Pvolve is my favorite workout. It's so well rounded. The classes and amazing instructors are challenging but not so hard that I dread going to class, and I feel so good when I'm done!!!! There are tons of class times and class options throughout the day, so I can always find something that works with my schedule. The best thing about Pvolve is that the workout is so well balanced that this is the first time in my life that I've been able to do a 50 minute class 3-4 times a week and I don't have to fit in another 3 days of cardio to feel good in my clothes. I love that each instructor is positive and encouraging, the studio feels new and clean, and the equipment is so versatile I'm never bored. They have all different options for classes so you can pay by the class or buy a monthly membership for the most bang for your buck. Pvolve and the entire Pvolve team also make it a point to celebrate each and every milestone, making every member feel like an important part of the community. Every 50 classes, they give members a thoughtful gift (I love my Pvolve bag and sweatshirt from my 100th class!) and take a photo commemorating all of the hard work and classes you took to get to that day. They also offer an infrared sauna membership, but I haven't tried that yet even though others say they love it. If you haven't tried a class yet, jump on it!

    Awesome class with Julie Ann

I took the 2:00pm Strength & Sculpt Class on Sunday with Julie Ann and it was very different from any other workout I've tried. If I had to describe it, I would say it's a solid mix of Physical Therapy, Pilates and Mat work. We used 2 lb dumbbells, a slant board, 1.5 lb ankle weights and a mat. Proper form was shown to us before and through out the workout. Julie Ann seemed to know everyone by name and even remembered my name after a quick introduction before class. I appreciated that she would show us a move and instead of staying stationary, she moved throughout the room to correct form. The studio is pretty fancy but the front staff (Matt) was very welcoming. They have a small locker room, just about every hygiene product you could think of (in case you forgot a hair tye - they've got you covered), two gender neutral bathrooms, a nice sitting area and two large patios you can hang out on before or after class. I think this would be a great workout for anyone dealing with an injury, chronic pain or is completely new to working out. If you're pretty strong or used to HIIT style training, you will likely hate this because it's very slow and controlled. That being said, the moves are still beneficial. Oh and don't forget shoes! This is not a barefoot workout.

LOVED the strength and sculpt class here with Shanelle! This has been my favorite so far using classpass. First of all, the studio itself is really cute and aesthetically pleasing - from the locker area to the actual class area that is connected to an outdoor deck where you can sit and relax (see pics). What I loved about this class was how it was a good combo of strength, stretching, and some cardio all together. Shanelle was an very kind and attentive instructor and made usage of the equipment very easy. I didn't need to rent anything unlike some other classes in LA, all you need is workout shoes. What also made the class very fun was how lit the music was bc it was exactly my vibe.

Great workout! Hard to explain, but it kind of feels like low impact aerobics, Pure Barre, and maybe some Pilates thrown in for fun.

No pool, no jacuzzi, no high ratings…read more... The only LA Fitness that I have been to without a pool, and I have been to a lot of LA Fitness in my almost 20 years as a member. It is the location. It is in two office buildings, with a premium on floor spaces, so no pool is understandable. Although I have been to Washington DC, where another LA Fitness is in an office building. That one has a pool and jacuzzi, so it is what it is. Be grateful to have a LA Fitness in the mid Wilshire district. In my home area, Puente Hill North the only club we have left is Diamond Bar, and that club is not pretty. Back to the Wilshire club it has everything else beside the pool and jacuzzi. I think that it does not have a steam room as well. However, it is ok. I simply go to this club to hang out while I wait for LACMA open, so no complaint on my part. Ray out.

I'm guessing 4 or 5 guys got quite a shock. This is the 17th time this has happened when I've been there around lunchtime. Also, the AC is broken again. It's usually broken and not running from June through October, but this time it broke in February. It did work sporadically for a day or two - like a few days ago - but it's broken again. Bigger issue remains that La Fitness lets women walk in and out of the men's lockeroom. Big problem.

After a long break, I decided to come back and invited my friends to join me. One of them had an active membership, while the other did not. The friend who had a membership agreed to work out with us and guide us, even though she is not a professional trainer, just our friend. When I brought my other friend who was interested in becoming a member and joining me regularly, she was not allowed to enter because she had not registered online, and there was no one available on-site to assist her. This was despite the fact that she had a guest pass from me. We tried to resolve the situation on the spot, but instead of showing understanding, the receptionist -- a young Spanish-speaking woman of average height with long black hair, who appeared to be new and unfamiliar with me -- behaved very rudely. She refused to help, delayed us with the registration process, and made everything unnecessarily complicated instead of assisting my friend in becoming a member. This resulted in a very unpleasant experience for us. Moreover, the following day, I was denied access to my regular Zumba class with a different instructor, despite being a long-time member. The reason given was that the previous day we had worked out with our friend who was guiding us. I was extremely upset, and the situation escalated to the point where the police were called to make me leave the gym. This humiliating experience put me in a very uncomfortable and embarrassing position. I am deeply disappointed. If anything like this happens again, I am prepared to pursue legal action, as this situation is unacceptable and has left a very negative impression on me. If I do not receive a formal apology, they will lose three loyal clients, as well as future potential clients I was planning to bring with me.

Unfortunately, my experience with the front desk and membership process was consistently frustrating. On my last five visits, my check-in was blocked because the system claimed I had unsigned documents. I signed the required paperwork multiple times, yet the issue was never resolved. Instead of feeling welcomed, I felt like I had to explain the same problem every time I came in to work out. When I finally decided to cancel my membership, I was directed to an online cancellation process and informed that a 30-day notice applied, resulting in additional charges before the cancellation became effective. I don't mind paying for a quality gym. What I do mind is paying for an experience where recurring administrative problems are never fixed. The workouts were good; the customer service wasn't. I hope management invests as much effort into member experience as they do into the equipment.

What I did NOT know I was signing up for... was RINGWORM. Honestly, I was shocked. I was in there looking cute too. Fresh matching ALO set. Expensive water bottle. Feeling like an off-duty fitness influencer who says things like "wellness journey." Then one day I look down at my leg and see this perfectly round circular welt. At first I was like... wait... did I protest this weekend? Did a cop shoot me with one of those non-lethal rubber bullets and I forgot? So naturally, I Google Image searched it like a real doctor. BOOM. Ringworm. Not exactly what Beyoncé meant when she said "put a ring on it." Now look, I'm not blaming Planet Fitness for this. This was clearly caused by the puddle of human soup left on the leg machine by that hot guy wearing a My Chemical Romance T-shirt, denim shorts, and Converse. No wonder he was sweating so much. Brother was dressed like he had a double shift at Hot Topic after this. So I go to the front desk and ask the employee what I should do about the ringworm and without even blinking he reaches behind the counter and pulls out a communal tube of Lotrimin antifungal cream like it was hand sanitizer. Not a NEW tube either. A battle-tested tube. The kind of tube that's seen things. And then he goes, "Here you go, man." Which means one of two things: They're incredibly helpful. This happens A LOT. So there I am, standing in the lobby of Planet Fitness, rubbing antifungal cream on my thigh next to a broken massage chair while Pitbull plays overhead. Judgement Free Zone indeed. 5 STARS.

There was a few metered street spots available or there's a neighborhood behind it on Colgate that had plenty of free street parking. The area around is nice, it's very close the The Grove so I went and shopped a bit after a good workout. My highlight was the ambience and the friendliness of the trainers. I'm a little self conscious when I workout and this place is personal enough that I felt really comfortable. Music is a variety but they took requests for genres. There's a Pilates area in the back and a little massage room. Also the aesthetics were soo pleasing. The lights were really good for pictures and very flattering.
