$2 charge for a tablespoon of cholula
    Tasha G.

Shamelessly unethical. I requested hot sauce for my sandwich and received a tablespoon of cholula. When presented with the bill, I was given a handheld device showing only the total, which I paid. Only after paying did I see an itemized bill showing I was erroneously charged $2 for "salsa." I told the waitress about the error on my bill because I did not order salsa. She said that was the charge for hot sauce. I told her that $2 is an unreasonable charge for a tiny amount of hot sauce. She blamed it on her mother who sets the prices. If a restaurant is going to charge a customer $2 for a tablespoon of cholula, they owe it to the customer to disclose it upfront and not surprise them with a bill. Food is lackluster. Service is incredibly slow. Poor experience all around.

Great shop to take a little break. Coffee, light food fare, and a selection of fun home decor options.

Runaway Luna was cute but I think the food could have been a bit better! They had a lot of home goods for sale which was fun to browse. I had an herbal latte which was made with beetroot - it was supposed to have notes of pomegranate and rose but I could only taste beets and the large rose petal chunks were pretty but not something that's actually fun to eat. Not exactly what I was hoping for. The drinks did come with a quarter-sized mini cookie which was cute. My friend had a scone and she said it wasn't that great but she liked her iced coffee. I did enjoy their almond croissant though - the size was ample and the almond filling delicious with lots of almonds on top to give it a good crunch. Our server was really kind and the ambiance was relaxing - I noticed some candles were burning which was cozy. I'd like to try and come back but will try a different drink!

I really enjoy this place. They have tons of cute items and their food is delicious. I've been coming here for 2 yrs now and the staff are great. I never had any issues with the food, always fresh and tasty. My fave is the Honey Comb Latte.

All this for $29 something /: good but super pricey

Food and drinks 5/5 Ambiance and Aesthetic 5/5 Service and staff 5/5 Visiting from California and was pretty excited to check out this place. I love the aesthetic and the staff were friendly and great. Only giving this place 4 starts as the service was slow since there were only two of them working who seem to be doing multiple jobs as well. As for the price for their merch and menu, way over overpriced. I got the Lavender Spritz, a scone and two small red velvet and it was $29 something! Phew. Hoping for a faster service to improve if the price can't. Overall a good experience but it might be a one and done for me.

$10 for a small coffee and a small holiday cookie is robbery. Didn't even give me a small container or box.

Parking is challenging as there are only paid parking options. The restaurant was very busy and it was an hour wait to be seated at a table. We were added to the wait list and of course my cell phone battery died so could not be notified. The host was understanding that I kept following up. The wait was a bit long due to weather preventing outdoor seating. They have both indoor and outdoor seating options. We were seated in the indoor dining area. The ambiance is very lively and bright for a happy vibe. Our sever was very friendly and attentive and happy to offer recommendations about the menu options. Started out with The Calm Before the Storm cocktail with smoky mezcal with bright grapefruit and lime, softened by chamomile syrup and a subtle bitters finish. Had a Smokey flavor profile that was still refreshing and complemented my meal. I ended up seeing another cocktail that looked appealing so I ordered the Paloma as well that was citrusy with fresh grapefruit slices. For food, the Breakfast Burrito was packed and flavorful with fluffy scrambled eggs, crispy hash browns, mushrooms, avocado, jalapeño, and melty cheese. The tomatillo sauce tied everything together perfectly with just the right amount of tang. The standout for me was the Steak & Egg. The seared Wagyu steak was tender and cooked beautifully, paired with a crispy hash brown and sunny egg that made every bite rich and satisfying. Even the mixed greens with anchovy dressing felt elevated instead of like an afterthought. Great atmosphere for brunch, quality ingredients, and cocktails that actually feel creative. Definitely will return for brunch at some point as the experience exceeded my expectations.

The sandwich was just a really well made basic sandwich. Nothing fancy. So a little pricey but also nice that it's smaller portions and seems to use really fresh ingredients.

The owner also owns the bar next door the Angry Elephant which shares the same kitchen. Started with one of the more tasty Wedge Salad I've ever had which was also loaded with so many bacon chunks that it was more of a side than a topping. The 8 breaded wings were split between the habanero and the sweet chili flavors. Enjoyed both and could see ordering the same while watching a game one of the multiple TVs. Waitstaff was attentive, polite and friendly which does match the relaxed atmosphere.

The food quality and ambiance are the only reasons this place still has my business. Unfortunately, the service is consistently poor, with one major exception. Summer is outstanding. I've had her as my server twice, and both times she delivered exactly what hospitality is supposed to look like: attentive, friendly, professional, efficient, and genuinely pleasant to interact with. She is the only server here who consistently does her job well, and it is painfully obvious by comparison. If management cares at all about customer experience, retention, or fairness--she deserves a raise, a promotion, or at the very least to not be penalized by pooled tips alongside staff who are clearly disengaged. Every other service experience I've had here has ranged from inattentive to outright unacceptable. On one visit, a server began taking my order and then abandoned the interaction mid-order to socialize with coworkers and customers, leaving me sitting there ignored. This is not an isolated incident--this is a pattern. I work in the service industry myself, so I don't say this lightly: This is a training and management failure. The staff (with the exception of Summer) appear uninterested, unmotivated, and visibly unhappy to be there, and it shows in how guests are treated. When tips are pooled, that lack of effort doesn't just hurt customers--it unfairly hurts the one employee who is actually doing excellent work. This place has too good of a vibe and too strong of a food offering to be dragged down by consistently poor service. If it weren't within walking distance of my apartment, the food alone would not be enough to keep me coming back. To be very clear: I will continue to request Summer when possible and recommend her specifically. But if the service issues continue with other staff, I will continue to reflect that honestly in future reviews. Regular customers notice patterns--and so do prospective ones reading these reviews. Management: this is fixable. Train your staff. Support your good employees. Protect the ones who are carrying your business -ISRAEL DOVE‍
