To start with, he answered my request on a Sunday. When we set an appointment he showed up and was on time (I think even a touch early, which I am a fan of!), he was the ONLY contractor that showed up on time when I got quotes. After the meeting I had a quote by the end of the day. Again, the fastest to get the quote out. His price ended up being the most reasonable so we went for it. They were neat, clean and tidy the entire time, making sure to keep as low an impact on the day to day living as possible. I also loved that it was the owner and one other person. My backyard wasn't full of random people wandering around the yard and there weren't trucks lining the entire block. They took their time, paid a LOT of attention to detail, worked steadily and were very thorough over the 4 days they were here. Believe me you don't want a rushed job. After 3 weeks and me having to contact him I was given a couple excuses as to why he hadn't contacted me and then was told about the estimate on the house, "having been partially completed in many areas and other complexities with this project (ie. drainage issue) in master, I don't think an estimate would be the best option for me due to unforeseen issues that will undoubtedly arise. With that said, I am happy to consider an hourly contract... When I do hourly work I charge $90/man hour. " I gave this company three stars because they took the time to show up but I did not use them because they couldn't do an estimate, as well as the lack of communication.
