Dustin and Rob from a company called "The Whittling Rooster" are top notch... clean up after every job and truly care about their clients... We've had them build privacy divider walls for our condo, replace all ceiling lights, make numerous repairs, plumbing work, painting, ceiling fan replacements, and a number of other projects. They are the best and are very reasonably priced...if you need any repairs around your home, this company is of A1... quality. We absolutely live our walk through Butlers Pantry. So happy we found these two. Two We wanted a custom built shed next to our house. They got right on this. We purchased a historic condo in downtown Wilmington, and since we are not from the area, had no idea where to turn for renovation help. We researched several remodeling companies and got 3 estimates. I found Improvement 2050 via Home Advisor and could not be happier. I was hesitant though, because there were no reviews of the company. Turns out they recently relocated to Wilmington from Miami, where their team worked for a general contractor, so while they have tons of experience, they have few actual reviews. We chose Improvement 2050 because of their very detailed quote and the fact that they were so much less expensive than the other firms. Plus, they were extremely responsive, and I ask a lot of questions! My husband and I thought it was too good to be true. Working with them was a dream. Anyone who knows me will tell you I am a high maintenance customer. I expect a lot! I managed the entire project remotely and they were exceptional at keeping me in the loop, sending me videos and pictures of their work on a daily basis. I dealt primarily with Joseth Garcia. I will vouch for the fact that he and his team are respectful, prompt, neat, and skilled. They exceeded my expectations (which is a hard thing to do). I could go on and on, but bottom line, our project was delivered on time, on budget, and looks amazing. They really bent over backwards to do whatever they could to make me happy, including solving some pretty significant issues along the way. We will be hiring Improvement 2050 again to complete any work that comes up in Wilmington. If you are considering them, I highly recommend you give them a chance. You will be glad you did. We absolutely adore our new home!  Our original home was built in 1983, but thanks to Essence of…read moredesign it looks and feels like a brand new dream home.  Essence of design expanded our entire house including the bedrooms, baths and closets.  They also added a half bath, his and her closets, mud room and back porch.  They also enclosed and extended our garage to incorporate a workspace and storage room. We replaced the plumbing, electrical, HVAC and added a fortified roof. The kitchen is amazing!  Infinity Cabinets replaced all our cabinets and they are all slow close.  We have a fancy coffee cabinet to hide our coffee maker and my favorite is the secret spice and cooking utensil cabinets.  The quartz countertops are the main attraction which are featured on a huge island that has hidden storage cabinets.  We worked with Wilmington appliance for all our kitchen appliances and Ferguson for our lighting and bath fixtures.  They were all wonderful!  The tile contractor also did amazing work.   Special thanks to many individuals at Essence, but especially Mike who did it all!  He specially designed and crafted the cabinets in our mud room and custom design our his and her closets.  Also thanks to Cassie who kept everyone organized.  Also thanks to some or our favorite people who helped all of this come to fruition - Eddie, Jay, Steve, Chrissy and Brian.  Also, thank you for being so kind to us and our overly friendly dog, Winston.
