Visited this store on Apr 19. 2022. With the great help of the owner I purchased a new pair of Hoka shoes. She was very helpful and very courteous. I went there because of the personalized attention provided by the staff, the selection of shoes they carry, my previous experience buying from the store, and to buy locally. I love this place! It has a small town feel, It's family owned, so they care about their customers and the products they sell, this results in Great customer service. It's a great store to shop, and receive valuable information about foot health and running or walking techniques. Staff is helpful, they know their stuff, and customer service is superb. Helpful at finding just the right running shoe. Their diagnostic tools will help pinpoint if you have problems with pressure points and I believe they also have running diagnostics although I did not take advantage of this as I had a specific shoe in mind which I already know works for me. Do not come to this place if you have a hard-to-find size. I wear a size 9 4a women's shoe (as measured by a podiatrist and confirmed by trying on the right size - I've been a 4a width my whole life). The woman who "helped" me told me I wear a size 7 to 8 medium. What? I told her she might consider having her mashing checked, and she said, "nope. it's accurate." After trying on 8 1/2 shoes that were to short and waaaayyyy too wide, I asked if she had a manual foot measuring device. She proceeded to parrot what the machine said, then I looked down myself and saw 8 1/2-9 3a-4a!!! Not sure why it was to her benefit to imply I was a complete idiot who was making up that I have a slim foot. This is not a place to go for hard to find sizes (or any sort of good customer service, per my experience). read more

Staff was helpful in explaining to me the details behind several brands to help me make an informed decision, plus used the foot scanner to determine correct size. The staff were extremely helpful, they carry a great selection of shoes and running accessories. Loved the foot scanner that tells you where you put your pressure when standing and what inserts will help with that. Bought some shoes and inserts a week ago and they were well worth it! read more

I had a POOR experience with Running Soles in Elizabethtown. Someone recommended that I go to Running Soles, since I have trouble finding a good pair of shoes. I went in hoping to find a good pair of walking/running shoes. The sales person was helpful and I tried on every supportive shoe they had in stock. I finally settled on a pair that I thought would help my foot issues (overpronation), even though they were slightly rubbing against the side of my foot. I asked the sales person if I could take them home and wear them around the house, since my feet were a little sore that day. The sales person agreed that would be a good idea. Unfortunately, the shoes did not work out for me and I had to return them. When I went in, the owner (lady) was working and I told her I needed to return them and explained my reasoning. She informed me that in-store credits are offered only. No refunds. She informed me that it was printed on my receipt. I asked her why I wasn't informed of their return policy BEFORE I made the purchase, especially since I had told the sales person that they may not work out for me and might need to return them. She indicated that they are a small business and cannot issue refunds. She also pointed to a place on the wall (that is not clearly visible to the customer) where their return policy is stated (most stores put their policies on the counter where the customer can see them). She eventually issued me a refund, however, CHARGED ME A RESTOCKING FEE! If you are a "small business," as she kept telling me, you would think they would be more honest and upfront with their customers. This is just my experience, as I am sure that there are others who have had positive experiences when things went well for them. Needless to say, they lost a customer. read more
