The price charged was well above the addition of sales tax (10.25%) + cook county liquor tax ( rounding up 5%) and a credit card surcharge ($0.89). I asked the old white man with gray hair and beard why the final total was so high and he said that it was because Chicago sales tax is 12.5%!!! WHAT??? That was a bold face lie!!! Now, I don't expect to pay Binny's prices at neighborhood stores, but that's $2 or $3 more than the same bottle runs at my old corner liquor store, Windy City Liquors. A lot of specialized beer is lost on me, but someone who is an aficionado of that stuff would find a lot to love here. Seemed to be a lot of local microbrews and foreign stuff.
