While on the morning bike ride this am, their company truck pulled out of their driveway and nearly hit me! Clearly he did not look to the right before pulling on to the road. Didn't stop, could have cared less... When confronting the workers there, they were less concerned, rude and complete jackasses...Zero concern over what happened or what could have happened. I believe one of them was the manager, what an idiot. This was really a close call... could have ended in a much worse way. Called the Sherriff, made the report, beware of reckless company drivers and a company that clearly doesn't give a rip about others in the community. read more

I have a German made glass lifting machine with a hydraulic tilt feature. Something failed and all of the hydraulic oil leaked out, completely disabling the machine. I was worried about how long it would take to get parts to repair this thing. Rupe's was able to repair the damaged parts and install new seals in a few hours. Great job!!! read more

Have a 8 year old compact trac loader. Took it to Rupe's to get the drive working correctly. The machine took forever to fix with difficulty removing motors, apparently the spline was not greased at factory and had fused. Needed both new drive pumps and a left side motor. I imagine from what they were telling me they put allot of free labor hours. Final bill was lower than the original estimate they provided. It's very hard to find shops that will be considerate of cost(s). Unfortunately machine had to go back in 3 days later. I lost all hydraulics. They took responsibility for not replacing the flex plate when all the pumps were out. They also put a new right side motor in (both replaced). Total bill was under $800. this time. New drive motor online list for $1800. ?? Overall Rupes's cares about it's workmanship and customer relationships. Can't give 5 due to the flex plate / return issue and an agonizing amount of time the machine was down. JR is the manager = Good Guy read more

I drop off a cylinder because it was leaking guy at the counter said it takes about 2days to get a call for a estimate so I did not get a call so I call the following day and got a lady that put me on hold for over 5 min so I hang up so on the next day I call again lady took my information and said that she will speak to her mechanic and call before the end of the day and she did not.i don't like giving people a bad review but hope fully they read this and fix there customer service issues.. read more

I can't say enough. Mike went all out when UPS lost a part I needed. Mike was able to machine the part from scratch and get my skid steer back to work ASAP. Without this old school mentality towards customer service and highly skilled workers in the shop we would be dead out in the field. Thank you Mike and Rupes for being there. I had an aftermarket power steering line for my nissan 240sx, and one of the fittings had been busted, i took it to rupe's, asked if i should come back later or the next day, and the guy said "no, just wait, it'll take 5 minutes". In literally 3 minutes, he was back with my hose, had cut off the old fitting and crimped on a new one. Ordering a new hose would have cost me $125 + shipping, and a week wait for delivery. Rupe's charged me $15. I gave him $20 and left and could not possibly be more pleased. read more

Drove up an hour out they said they had a unit turns out to be wrong. Drove back the next day they removed the unit and got the info to find the unit. two weeks later I get an email to send model and serial. The reason we went up was to have them identify the unit.Another case of half assing your job it's not my job syndrome. read more

This place is a joke. Took in an HUP to fix a leak and left with more problems then i brought it in with. They obviously had no knowlege on the equipemt that they supposedly fix. And then they charged me 400$ in just labor and its still not fixed. In total I spent almost 600$ and now I need to go fix it myself. read more

Had a leaky hose in my RV leveling system. Several RV places wouldn't even estimate the cost without making an appointment at least three weeks out. Just as well, these guys fixed in in a day. Bad place. Find anywhere else to go. I took in a hydraulic cylinder that needed new seals. Kit cost $80. Fair. Add labor now we're at $850. They found a couple of very small dings in the chrome and wanted to rechrome it. Silly and expensive. I brought it home, sanded and buffed to dings and resealed it myself after watching a YouTube video. Been working great for months now. NO LEAKS. read more

was quoted north of 650.00 to reseal a very small cylinder. when i questioned the price I was told that if I didn't trust them I should take my business elsewhere.I don't so I did. I have been a loyal rupes customer since jack rupe repaired hydraulic jacks behind a gas station (In the seventies) but I guess those times are long gone. read more
