You can find just about anything at Rural King. We made the 45 mile trek to Frankfort to pick up onion bulbs. The website said that their stores had them, but not this particular store. While disappointed, I still managed to spend $50, getting some great deals. Rural King is family owned and caters to farmers. Most of the stock is made in the US and there was also a great number of Indiana featured products. You will find everything from live chicks and ducks to basketballs. Most of the merchandise is specially packaged for Rural King. There is something homey and salt-of-the-earth about Rural King. I was reminded of my youth growing up on a Virginia farm and going with my daddy to pick up tractor parts. Today, I found 2 pack flower sack kitchen towels for $1.49. Clearance wipes for 49 cents! Okra seed for $1.89. And lots of garden and spring supplies. They carry clothes and boots. Dry food products including an entire aisle of beef jerky! It was the Mecca of jerky. There was an aisle of canning supplies - canning lids were sold by the pound. There were unique food items such as jalapeño pickled eggs and gooseberry jam. You can even pick up vaccines for your horse! I spent an hour shopping and could have spent more. Most of the staff was wearing masks and about half of the customers were wearing masks. I found most of the staff helpful and friendly as well - a few proactively asking if we needed help. Check out was quick. False advertising Theres a trailer with price tag of 297.5 out there i called and asked a person of that was correct and they told me yes i went into the store to purcase it and then they told me they cant honor that price becouse the wind must have blown the 1 off that it should have been 1297.5 but the exact same trailer next to it was 1099 and when they scaned it also showed 1099 and made me look like an idiot even thou i asked the person outside is that price correct i took a picture to to make sure off it. read more

I was shocked that there was has yet to be a review for this place, and based on my other reviews you are probably wondering "what is he doing here?" Visiting my mom in Lebanon, In for Thanksgiving she tells me that they are going to Frankfort to look at Christmas Lights and to get some things from Rural King. My question is what is Rural King? It is a store and they give you free popcorn and coffee, well okay then let's go. There are products that I knew existed but never knew where to get them, and now realize your have to go to Rural King to get them. If I ever decide to start my own chicken coop, Rural King has everything I need. The gun selection was also quite impressive, and really some if the best prices I have ever seen on firearms and ammo. You are not going to find the latest fashion tends, but if you need an $8 pair of jeans (yes, only $8!!!!) this is your place. The men's fashion line is great if you want to look like a construction worker. A very friendly staff, and a store that makes Walmart look like IKEA, make for an experience if you are ever in a small town that has a Rural King. read more

Hi, I live in Clinton county outside of Frankfort and I am here to tell you about Rural King in Frankfort. We love, love, love this store. My husband and myself goes into this store every time we go to town. And oh our 6 poms love it to. They just prance around like they own the place and each time they go in they are greeted with a treat! Not only do we find great buys the staff is so friendly and will stop what ever they are doing to help you find what you are looking for. I am a person who only eats popcorn at the movies but I have found that the popcorn they give away, yes I said give away is just as good so when I need a popcorn fix we head to Rural King which is good for their business because as I wonder the store eating free popcorn or drinking free coffee I always find new items I can't love without! They have such a great selection no matter what season it is and the prices are great! We do hit the Lafayette store when we go to Lafayette and they are just as kind and friendly also. So if you want to shop with no pressure and enjoy the animals that come prancing in then check out this store. Oh also they do have vaccine clinics at the stores too. Sometimes it's a lot easier to take my dogs their for their shots. The vets that administer the shots are usually local vets, actually our vet is the one who has been doing the clinics in Frankfort so I am more at ease about taking all my babies there for their shots.
