He eventually showed where to take it. Every previous time at TSC, the employee took my tank at the gate and prevented me from entering the locked area. Next time, TSC employees should ask, "May I assist you with the tank?" If I have this right, you are being paid by the customers to serve us.

I really appreciated his kindness and patience. Great little store. Definitely recommend!

Today I was costing fertilizer and the price was just slightly higher than Home Depot. Good enough for me. There isn't a ton of staff there but the place is never too busy either.

Many shelves were empty as I assume they are preparing for spring inventory. Many items were on clearance including Yetis so there are some great deals. In the entry alcove is a fascinating history of the hardware store's evolution. The history dates back to at least 1889 when the store was located at 110 West Main Street in Carmel. The store has been owned by four families start with O. W. Nutt prior to 1889. Steve White bought the store in 1984 and built the current location on Rangeline Road in 1989. I love that someone took the time to capture the history. There's plenty of parking in their private lot. You can only enter or exit going north in Rangeline, but the roundabouts make going in the right direction easy.

Usually when I visit Ace Hardware, I have been sent there by my lovely husband who is in desperate need of some widget that I have no idea what it is. There is always someone ready to greet me right at the door at Tipton Ace Hardware to help me find exactly what I need. A very knowledgeable staff. If they don't have something in stock, they will also look to see if they can order it for you. We have purchased grilles, Christmas Trees, Christmas Lights, paint, and more from this store. They charged me $52.00, as opposed to $56.29 that Great Lakes initially charged me (and refunded). They also put a charge of $81.90 on the warranty work order that I apparently wasn't actually expected to pay, and didn't. But why a 45% increase, even on paper? I sent a copy of my original review a week ago to Great Lakes Ace Customer Service on their website. To date, a week later, I have had no response. This tells you everything you need to know about their concept of "customer service." Take your business elsewhere.

They carry Justin Patten art featuring Zionsville, the Indiana Universities and the Indy 500. They also carry a number of other Indiana products that make great gifts. I never thought I'd buy a Weber grill, as I didn't understand why they seemed so expensive. After an Ace salesman showed me some differences and how they stocked all of the parts I may need down the road, I purchased one. That was a bit over a year ago, and I haven't had even the slightest "buyers remorse". Sure, it was a lot more than one of the other brands at a big box store, but wow does it do a great job. The heat is so even, and all of the controls just feel sturdy. On top of that most of the internals are made from stainless steel and should last a LONG time. Ace is a great asset to western Noblesville. As this town has grown, we've gotten all of the big box stores, but with those comes traffic and customer service that is mediocre at best. It's definitely nice to have a locally owned store where I can go pick up the things I need without having to drive across town.
