You can't miss this place. It sits alongside the highway and has Amish buggies and a life-size horse. They have everything from sauces, home baked goods, Amish butter to a deli with fried chicken! I've been to this location several times and there are always a lot of options. Their canned good section is very large. Oh, and don't forget all their dipped chocolates! Their freezer meats are very good. The place does need a little sprucing up some deep cleaning and fresh paint would be great

Why did I not know about this place b4 now? I was told about Wilsons from a Co-worker who mentioned they had the best fried chicken. To me that was a tall bill to fill. So I had to make a trip to check it out for myself.. Located in Arcadia IN, not far outside of Noblesville is this gem. Pulling up on a Saturday afternoon, I was not expecting what I encountered. Both parking lots were cram packed. They had a pumpkin stand outside with all the beautiful mums and pumpkins for sale. But nothing and I mean nothing prepared me for the smell of the fried chicken when I opened the door to my truck. Ok so at that point I realize that I made a good decision. Upon entering the store, you are immediately taken back to child hood because you become overwhelmed BUT in a good way. You don't know which way to go. Where to look first or even what your looking for there is so much. There is a bakery to the left of you that had a line to the middle of the store. The loveliest fresh veggies and fruit in the middle, shelves of candies, snack mixes frozen meats and snacks. Amish pop corn, all types of ciders (the salted caramel cider) MY WORD, good stuff. All kinds of jams, jellies, salsas... Smoked cheeses. Oh and don't let me forget the at least 12 different homemade hand pies... kettle corn.. Some of the softest homemade bread, but not just any bread, bacon jalapeño bread, cheese bread YOU NAME IT!!! How can I forget the ice cream counter, like your at an ice cream parlor. Even in my explaining, I'm transported right back to my visit. After looking around I get in the very long line to have some fried chicken. We grabbed an 8 piece mixed, potato wedges and some biscuits. SIDE NOTE: some of the fluffiest, melt in your mouth biscuits EVER!!! We encountered some of the nicest people, everyone happy to share their favorites and what keeps them coming back. The employees all super sweet and willing to help in any way they can It is a mother daughter duo running the establishment and the attention to customer service is AMAZING. If you have never been, I suggest you change that and thank me later. I could go on and on but I will stop with this little tip. Before you go grab some cash, cash is keen as there is a 5% additional charge on card purchases but either way you will enjoy your visit here. I will be going back again soon.

Had a great visit to Wilson's this past weekend. It was busy but the lines moved quickly. We got some cheeses and treats to take home and enjoy and they were great snacks. The fry pie was a good road trip snack for the drive home. Staff at the bakery was so kind and friendly and made some suggestions for our choices. Store was very clean and smelled like the fresh fried chicken that was frying up. Will definitely come back to enjoy more treats.

I have mixed opinions about Wilson's farm market. I come from an area in Michigan that was predominantly Amish. I have been to Amish markets many times while growing up as a kid. This market tries to create the same environment as an Amish store however, the quality and the prices of the food and snacks do not meet up to the expectation that I have when I think of Amish made quality goods.

I have mixed feelings about writing a review for Wilsons. But that is only because of the fried chicken. It is so darn good I have no words and I don't want to create a rush causing less chicken for me! Seriously it's that good. They also have fresh produce, amazing baked goods, and a ton of other local Indiana jellies, deli items, fudge, etc. So worth the trip, and try the fry pies as well! Yum!!!

2 piece fried chicken meal and gizzard like 11 dollars that's way less than Cali... man I am living in the wrong state

Support small local businesses!!! I'll say it again support small local businesses!!! Wilson's Farm market sells some amazing Amish made products. You know that if it is made by hand with fresh product, you k ow that stuff is going to be legit, in the back of the store is a fried chicken joint. I'm from Cali. It is hard to get good fried chicken there, but when I say that this is one of the best fried chicken I've had I mean it. I don't know what they do with their chicken, but my goodness, it's not heavy, but the chicken is juicy, crunchy, and you can really taste the seasoning in their meats. Mac and cheese was also delicious and their gizzard were also a nice treat. And the fried pies.... my goodness the banana cream fried pie and key lime fried pie...my goodness that was some delicious pastry right there. People at the store was so nice also. I got a bunch of jared goods and they gave me a box for jared goods to carry back to my friends house with the sections already divided for the jared goods I got. I really like locally owned and mom and pop stores like this. Again, support small businesses people!!!

I finally made the drive to Wilson's Farm Market. I had heard from a few sources that they have the best fried chicken. It was suggested I called ahead to make sure they hadn't sold out. I called ahead and was happy to find out they did. They were very busy at the deli counter and I had to wait about 15 minutes to be helped. After hearing the lady prior order fried mushrooms; I decided to do the same along with my 8 mixed pieces of chicken. I was like a kid in a candy store and bought a whole apple walnut pie, 4 cookies, cheese curds, an unbaked chicken pot pie, deviled eggs and a cantaloupe. So far everything but the deviled eggs (didn't care for the flavor) has been great! The fried chicken did not disappoint; large pieces and very good! There are many other things I'd like to try on future trips and highly recommend Wilson's.

I ended up getting several pastries and some bagels (as why would you not), as well as their broccoli salad, cheese sandwich and some cherry pie. Yum! She wanted to take a Rueben home to her husband but it was a flight away, so the staff let her buy all the fixings and then make it at home. Amazing! It traveled well that way and got to be enjoyed by others. Will always go back to this spot as it has a special place in my heart as my Dad loved it, and it is an I su classic!

I'm not a deli kind of guy…read more But, there's just something about Shapiro's that makes me smile. I'm a lifelong hoosier, and I've always had times when I simply needed to go to Shapiro's. I've shared, quite often, of my deep appreciation for the Shapiro's response when I had accessibility concerns about their Fashion Mall location. They did a remarkably beautiful job of responding well, adapting, and yet also honoring their own business needs. The end result became a more accessible layout that was still customer friendly for everyone. I will always appreciate that response and should their praises. But, there's something special about this location. It's the look. It's the feel. It's the vibe. It's just everything. A little bit of Shapiro's history - you can trace the Shapiro family back to 1795 Ukraine. Louis and Rebecca Shapiro landed stateside in 1905; within a couple years opening a small grocery/deli. In 1925, they leaned into their cultural and faith roots after the election of Ed Jackson as governor (Jackson was a well-known Klan member). They added the word "kosher" to their building and a Star of David. (As someone who's traveled over 7,000 miles by wheelchair, I love a good act of subtle rebellion). They more and more leaned into their cafe routes, and in 1984 added a second location on the northwestside. I probably frequented this location the most since I went to Pike High School. As we all know, that location eventually closed. Fashion Mall lasted about five years. There was a Carmel spot, too. But, for me, it always comes down to this location. It's warm. It's friendly. The food is a premium deli experience. I love the meatloaf (like seriously). They have breakfast, they have a ton of baked good options (cakes, cookies, others), soups, salads, hot deli, cold deli, sandwiches, entrees, and a whole lot more. I love the baked goods. I love the fried chicken. Is it a bit pricey? Yep. You also get enough for at least a couple meals (if you can truly hold out that long). Accessibility is solid here. I've already talked about their attention to that kind of detail. It's real AND it's sincere. Strangely enough, I've never had the Reuben here. It's one of their acclaimed sandwiches, but there's always something else I want more. While you can spend a fair amount here, you can also eat here pretty modestly. Shapiro's, at least for me, is one of those places that defines Indy. I'd likely weep if they ever left our city. Good food. Great family. Wonderful location. Fair pricing. Accessible. Quite honestly, it's just about everything I want a restaurant to be.

The menu has a few unique sandwiches that make good use of the butcher's meat. Prices are reasonable. My husband had the Debris Po' Boy Sandwich, served hot. The rest of the salad was fresh with snow peas, cherry tomatoes and mandarins orange. My friend had the meatball sandwich, which looked awesome. The sandwich was huge and shareable. I called and they were very nice and said bring them back (about 40 min each way for me) so I told them it would be a while as we were going out of state for a month plus. Today was the day and I went back to meat counter and they asked me to go back up front speak with people at the front counter. Again really nice and said just take it back and have them replace it. This is where you find out how rude and accusatory bad staff can be. He started by saying this was a long time ago, he asked if I he'd left them out in the car over night, if i had waited a long time to use them. The answer was no i had a picture take the next day after the label date from the day before. He then told me that I needed to take them as he did not want any rotten meat.
