The battered coating is crispy and full of pepper. Anyway, I picked out 6 mums and was tempted by their fun selection of pumpkins and gourds. So many funky shapes and colors to choose from! The cheese aisle always grabs me with the great selection of Amish cheese. I picked up some baby Swiss. This Amish market carries locally made pickled and preserved goods. There is a complete aisle of pickled eggs, beets, asparagus and too much to name. I love coming here! The bakery is awesome with fresh fry cakes and donuts. The staff is friendly and eager to assist. Bought some snack mix on 06/04/2026 and noticed after I got it home that it was packaged on 09/09/2025, almost 9 months old. It was labeled Sweet/ Zesty but was flavorless and very stale. You can't miss this place. It sits alongside the highway and has Amish buggies and a life-size horse. They have everything from sauces, home baked goods, Amish butter to a deli with fried chicken! I've been to this location several times and there are always a lot of options. Their canned good section is very large. Oh, and don't forget all their dipped chocolates! Why did I not know about this place b4 now? I was told about Wilsons from a Co-worker who mentioned they had the best fried chicken. To me that was a tall bill to fill. So I had to make a trip to check it out for myself.. Located in Arcadia IN, not far outside of Noblesville is this gem. Pulling up on a Saturday afternoon, I was not expecting what I encountered. Both parking lots were cram packed. They had a pumpkin stand outside with all the beautiful mums and pumpkins for sale. But nothing and I mean nothing prepared me for the smell of the fried chicken when I opened the door to my truck. Ok so at that point I realize that I made a good decision. Upon entering the store, you are immediately taken back to child hood because you become overwhelmed BUT in a good way. You don't know which way to go. Where to look first or even what your looking for there is so much. There is a bakery to the left of you that had a line to the middle of the store. The loveliest fresh veggies and fruit in the middle, shelves of candies, snack mixes frozen meats and snacks. Amish pop corn, all types of ciders (the salted caramel cider) MY WORD, good stuff. All kinds of jams, jellies, salsas... Smoked cheeses. Oh and don't let me forget the at least 12 different homemade hand pies... kettle corn.. Some of the softest homemade bread, but not just any bread, bacon jalapeño bread, cheese bread YOU NAME IT!!! How can I forget the ice cream counter, like your at an ice cream parlor. Even in my explaining, I'm transported right back to my visit. After looking around I get in the very long line to have some fried chicken. We grabbed an 8 piece mixed, potato wedges and some biscuits. SIDE NOTE: some of the fluffiest, melt in your mouth biscuits EVER!!! We encountered some of the nicest people, everyone happy to share their favorites and what keeps them coming back. The employees all super sweet and willing to help in any way they can It is a mother daughter duo running the establishment and the attention to customer service is AMAZING. If you have never been, I suggest you change that and thank me later. I could go on and on but I will stop with this little tip. Had a great visit to Wilson's this past weekend. It was busy but the lines moved quickly. We got some cheeses and treats to take home and enjoy and they were great snacks. The fry pie was a good road trip snack for the drive home. Staff at the bakery was so kind and friendly and made some suggestions for our choices. Unprofessional workers in the bakery. One lady not working in the back decided to gossip about my 4 year old hugging the wooden corn fixture. She yelled across the bakery from the back to my 4 year old to get off it, I told her this is my son and he is hugging it. She proceeded to gossip to another older lady who was also not working but was in the back of the bakery. I said back to her that's unacceptable and unprofessional you don't talk about someone's child, She 1st said oh I wasn't talking about him. When I said back yes you clearly were I can heard everything you just said. Instead of apologizing she literally yelled at me that he fell on the floor the week before and fell off of it, I said that's not true and you need to stop. If you'd like to stay a while and eat, there are benches outside near their parking lot. Their parking lot gets very busy, so it's not a place to just rest and let your kids wander about. There's also another parking lot across the street. I stopped at Wilson's to get a pie, and I ended up choosing a Very Berry Pie and then also got a strawberry hand pie for the road. You know that if it is made by hand with fresh product, you k ow that stuff is going to be legit, in the back of the store is a fried chicken joint. I'm from Cali. It is hard to get good fried chicken there, but when I say that this is one of the best fried chicken I've had I mean it. I don't know what they do with their chicken, but my goodness, it's not heavy, but the chicken is juicy, crunchy, and you can really taste the seasoning in their meats. Mac and cheese was also delicious and their gizzard were also a nice treat. And the fried pies.... my goodness the banana cream fried pie and key lime fried pie...my goodness that was some delicious pastry right there. People at the store was so nice also. This was our first time here and definitely not our last. This place is such a little gem that we were not expecting to find so close to home. One they somehow still have the holy grail of mushrooms for sale aka morels!!! 2. They had brands of jams and jelly's that we thought we would never see outside of Amish country in Ohio. 3 their little fried fold over pie things are absolutely to die for. 4 their fried chicken was just everything you could possibly want for like a perfect lunch or dinner and is also incredibly reasonably priced. As a young girl alone I did not feel comfortable. I finally made the drive to Wilson's Farm Market. I had heard from a few sources that they have the best fried chicken. It was suggested I called ahead to make sure they hadn't sold out. I called ahead and was happy to find out they did. They were very busy at the deli counter and I had to wait about 15 minutes to be helped. After hearing the lady prior order fried mushrooms; I decided to do the same along with my 8 mixed pieces of chicken. I was like a kid in a candy store and bought a whole apple walnut pie, 4 cookies, cheese curds, an unbaked chicken pot pie, deviled eggs and a cantaloupe. So far everything but the deviled eggs (didn't care for the flavor) has been great! The fried chicken did not disappoint; large pieces and very good! They had a great looking ~ deli-like choices of a few different dishes. Coleslaw, bean salad- like mom used to make. I'll always remember that Wilson's was the first I've ever been to. Yes, the fried chicken I hear is amazing. It even smells great in the parking lot if you go right before lunch hours when they're frying it fresh. I enjoy the wall of cheese though. The longest refrigerator cheese case I've seen. So many varieties and I love trying out new flavors when I go. However, they've got a chive flavor that is my go-to. They also have baked goods like this pretzel bread that is a perfect pairing to a cheese plate. It's a tad sweet and salty which is nice!! They also have sweets, jars of jam, jars of pickled items, and bulk snacks. I also buy my popcorn kernels there. Overall, I know the primary reason why people go is for their amazing fried chicken, but you'll find plenty of other goods that you'll want to take home with you too. Finally made the stop after dropping my sister off at a wedding next door. We'd driven past probably a dozen times and the signage had s as Keats caught my eye. This time, we had time to spare so we pulled in. It was quite busy for a Friday evening and it seemed like folks were especially excited for the bakery counter and deli section with fried chicken. I have to confess that I thought the signs noting an Amish bakery meant that this operation was run by an Amish family similar to the store we love in Fountain City near Richmond but that is not the case. I'm not quite sure where some of the items are sourced but you'll find classic egg noodles alongside barrels of pickles and baked treats. I have to admit that the store layout and vibe was not what I was expecting- it was a little packed and somewhat cluttered feeling. We came to visit based upon the recommendations that claim they have really good fried chicken, and we were not disappointed. We bought an 8 piece for the 3 of us but we could have done 6 easily, there was so much food left over. We also ordered sides of the mac n cheese (7/10) and heavily seasoned, bacon infused green beans (8/10). The meal came with four biscuits and a box full of delicious, crispy and flavorful battered potato wedges. Everything was so delicious. I'm from TN and miss the down home cooking so much. This is the closest I've gotten to real southern home cooking since I moved to Indiana four years ago. The environment is nice and clean inside, everything has a place and it's all well organized. I love going to Wilson's Farm Market it is always packed. On the right wall is cheese all kinds and they have samples,so you can try them. In the back is the deli and that is why we go. The Dutch Cole Slaw is so good it's tart but sweet. The deviled egg potato salad and the baked potato salad both are very good. And I also get pickled egg - beet pickled and mustard pickled eggs 75 cents each. I grew up eating the mustard ones my daddy used to make. Also deli meats and cheese fried chicken and strips and potatoes wedges. Also you can get sandwiches -ice cream - pastries and fried pies. You can eat inside they have just a few tables or outside on picnic tables. Fresh produce and fruit also bread - noodles -meats and ever more. If you're using yelp the quality of the food you purchase is important to you so Wilsons is a place you want to try. I don't buy certain things since I can tomatoes and jams myself but the things I have purchased are amazing. The chicken pot pie is something we buy extras of and freeze (after of course eating one) I'm not a chicken pot pie fan but I guess its because my mother would but those supermarket frozen ones YUCK. These melt-in-your-mouth taste amazing ditto the fried chicken. My husband cannot pass the snickerdoodles without getting some. I'm not a cookie person so I can't tell you how they taste and I don't want to lose a hand trying to take one from him. I get some nice cheeses there but skip the tasteless blue cheese. It's not a fruit and vegetable stand although there are some in season but don't count on getting anything in particular, they just have what they have that week.
