The staff were friendly and helpful both on the phone when I called to verify availability of an item and in the store with way finding. The cashier was friendly and personable. A staff member even approached in the parking lot and helped load my heavy, bulky item into my truck. My expectations were exceeded. Bravo Rural King Madisonville! read more

Customer service is non existent there. If you make an online order to pick up at the store you may get it and you may not. If you call the store's customer service expect to be put on hold for a long time and in my case after 20 minutes of waiting I gave up. I don't blame the employees - I blame management for allowing this type of terrible 'service' to exist. Rural King does have good prices but their service is awful. read more

I went to Rural King tonight to purchase dog food, and I have shopped there many many times and their prices of always seem fair. However, I went there tonight and they were advertising a particular brand of dog food for a certain price, but when I got up to the register it was almost 2 to 3 times more than the price advertised. I question them on this , Their explanation was the tag was turned around backwards for the price. I didn't said you should be honoring the price that You advertised as, kind of a switch and bait, and I was not happy about that. They argued with me and one of the sales reps got quite ugly about the situation, which intern let me being ugly about the situation. Bottom line is I left Rural King without my purchase and will absolutely never return! read more

I bought a "Puma 200" Minibike and had many problems with it. Only to be compounded by non-existent customer service. "Jackshaft" kept coming off rendering it inoperable. The Seat is held up by a thin peice of metal that bends when you sit on it moving the seat sideways about 90 degrees. The Handlebar risers where cracked and so loose the handle bar would move back and forth freely. I contacted Rural King to remedy this problem and took it to the store where they denied warrenty service because the chainguard was missing... ( I had to remove it to put the jackshaft pin back in so i would not have to push it 3 miles home.) Avoid this store at all costs. read more
