Just one example of the crowded main aisle with few cross-over points.

We've been shopping at this Rural King since it opened, when it became THE first Rural King store in Florida. We've purchased lots of equine/dog/cat feed and supplies, farm hardware and I even bought my first Hobart Wire Welder there. Even though this store was quite a bit farther away from us than our 'usual' feed stores, we would still make the trip. I'll get right to the point now about the current situations at this Rural King. There has been a gradual decrease in the quality of the shopping experience over the last few years. THIS started before the pandemic crunch. 1. The Parking Lot - on busy days, especially the weekend, the parking lot is a nightmare. Especially if you're in a large pickup OR have a trailer in tow. Parking spaces can be hard to get, or hard to access. First, it was the weekend farmer's market at the West end. Then, the rows of farm equipment. Then they added tractors, for a while. And on and on and on. 2. The Entry Door - currently is out of order. SO, EVERYBODY must use the same EXIT doors to enter and leave. So much for Social Distancing. I see SO many folks walking towards the Entry door, only to read the tiny sign and have to go to the Exit. 3, The Aisles - tall pallets of merchandise are crowded along the full length of the main aisles. Big racks of merchandise crowded around the Check Out lines, making it difficult at times. Like a Walmart the day before Black Friday. In the aisles, there are few places where you can cross over, which I'm sure the Fire Marshal would not be happy about. PLUS, again, so much for Social Distancing when there is oncoming foot traffic. 4. General disarray - the shelves are a mess in most departments. Product is laying around, on the floor, in the wrong bin or shelf or wrong department. There are trip hazards and dangers lurking everywhere. Two days ago, I had to virtually 'catch' an older gentleman who was trying to squeeze past me and another shopper, only to trip over 3 white buckets sitting on the floor. So much danger. So much confusion. You'd think that stocking and product display would be even easier with the reduced inventory most stores are handling due to the pandemic. 5. Hit or Miss Help - it seems like I always see employees in a huddle of two or three. When asked for help, most are courteous and glad to help. BUT, I have witnessed on a few occasions where the employee was not helpful or even borderline rude. My last visit I asked an employee if the store had any more of this one hardware item I was trying to buy in bulk. The response? "No. Did you look in the other bins? You might find one misplaced". So much for customer service. I will close by saying that I intend on staying loyal to Rural King. In a sense, we need them as much as they need us. But I find it difficult to believe that the above mentioned irregularities cannot be addressed and tweaked to instill a much more comfortable AND favorable shopping experience for all....

    Free popcorn - yum!

Ever since I moved to the area 3 years ago, I love coming here for my popcorn fix while looking over the baby chicks and bunnies. They have a great assortment of bird feeders and feed, and I purchased a bag of the "no-waste" birdseed. I'll try it and see if it attracts the songbirds in my neighborhood and keeps the landscape tidy. Also purchased a hot pepper suet block, which claims to deter squirrels. Let's see how good this works too. This location is very busy on the weekends so I try to visit mid-week.

I LOVE RURAL KING! How could you not? Want a pair of socks? Maybe some cowboy or work boots? Chicken wire? Paint supplies? Gator hunting equipment? Plant food? A gun? Pickled eggs in beer juice? Ya that got that too. WTH else do you need in a store? Come check this place out and you'll be hooked like I am

Make sure to grab a bag!

If you ever need to pickup a new cowboy hat, fried pickle chips and a baby chicken, Rural King has you covered. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by the pleasant smell of their complimentary popcorn. I promptly grabbed a bag and started to explore the store. There were cowboy boots, hats and a sign informing people that they shouldn't open bags of socks to try on the boots. This store was great. As I wandered down the isles I imagined different ways of completing home and yard projects. There was every tool i'd ever need. But, for this trip, I kept my purchases trivial. Next time I visit I have a felling I may walk out with a new hedge trimmer.

Great place to shop, except the customer service sucks and no one knows what the hell they're even talking about.

Best place to see Brooksville's finest inbred-redneck-hillbillies, better than the Walmart slobs. :-)

    Do they ship?

We ordered a compressor and a rather large gun safe from them and they delivered it to us, but I don’t think they deliver small items

My daughter enjoys the free popcorn they hand out at the entrance as well as the section where they have chicks, baby ducks and bunnies.

Got a reply on Friday telling me that they would be here on Friday. Didn't know if it would be morning or afternoon, and then I was very rudely informed that they had 280 clients and 3 machines, and that they weren't going to mow 10 yd a day. As if this had anything to do with anything, I guess they have either too many clients or they need to buy more machines. I don't know. So I said, I wanted to know so that I could be here because I don't allow people on my property when I'm not here generally, whenever I've had that happen, things have disappeared. And they were very animate about the fact that that I did not need to be here that it was fine if I wasn't here to the point that it made me uncomfortable. And and then they said, oh, we'll send you pictures why I would need pictures, I have no idea because I live. Here. So that kind of made me uncomfortable. The fact that they really seemed to wanted me off the property when they were here. Well, of course, Friday comes and goes no one shows app again, no 1 replies on Friday when I text them again, so I find someone to come out Saturday and the only time I even got a reply from them was after I informed. Sky Shark Pavers and Landscape LLC - Avoid at All Costs We…read morehired Sky Shark Pavers and Landscape LLC in August to completely redo our backyard, including demo and installing new travertine tiles and coping around the pool. At first, we understood delays caused by two hurricanes, but the issues quickly piled up. After losing employees (which he wasn't upfront about), the company began showing up inconsistently with only one or two workers. When they finally started placing the travertine, it became clear that only one person had any experience, while the others seemed to be learning on the job. This lack of professionalism showed in the results: * The travertine wasn't sorted properly, resulting in mismatched colors and uneven placement. * Many tiles were chipped. * The pool coping had grout smeared all over the pool. * Caps on the planters had large gaps and were poorly finished. We initially hoped the project would be completed by October for my daughter's birthday, but that deadline passed, leaving a dangerous, unfinished site in our yard--including a trailer with an exposed ax. November deadlines also came and went, despite promises. Even with family arriving for Thanksgiving, nothing was resolved. I finally asked for the issues to be corrected or for a refund, and neither has happened. The quality of their work is awful, they are dishonest, and they don't stick to their timelines. If you're considering this company, RUN. Save yourself the stress and disappointment.
