Shopped at Ollie's Bargain Outlet for Christmas presents that would have cost a fortune anywhere else. I went there expecting to find they were sold out. They definitely weren't sold out and the items I wanted were in pristine condition and I paid approximately 1/3 of the price I saw them at other large brand name stores that same day. You can honestly believe you are getting a bargain at Ollie's. Check out the sale item there with other stores and you will find Ollie's has definitely cut the price more that half, sometimes as I found for Christmas by 2/3's of what I would have paid if not for them! As if that isn't enough to win us over their cashier lines move really fast there and they have the nicest cashiers. read more

My favorite store. Found my rugs all to match in many sizes. Prices are not outrageous. Any candy I want I find. Got several bible study books as well. Cards of all sorts, coffee of all flavors. I get my cleaning and personal items as well. Like I said it's my Everythin Store. read more

Great close-out store, similar in some ways to Big Lots but more bare-bones decor. Some good deals, especially the books section. A lot of the items here are priced lower for a reason, such as last years model or refurbished appliances, but the store has a solid 30-day money back guarantee with receipt (and some other policy without a receipt) that is clearly written in signage near checkout. I love visiting these stores but most of the item selections don't rotate that much. The books section -- especially for children -- is worth the visit. read more

I always end up spending way more time in here than I plan to. There's just no helping that. Great selection of items. It can be hit or miss since the inventory tends to change frequently. Either way, Ollie's is always a great place to check first when you're looking for something or if there's something you've considered buying - check Ollie's first, you'll likely find it and save a lot of money. We discovered Ollie's about 5 years ago. My wife and I are both 'retired' on a very fixed income. That was one of the best 'blessing's' we found! By shopping at Ollie's we realize a 30% increase in our 'buying power!!!' WOW!!! We compared our shopping list at a 'major retail store' here in Rochester, NY. And Ollie's "blew them out of the water!!!" And......as a advent reader...my only and best place to shop for books,,,including those book's on the " New Times Best Seller LIst..... I shopped at Ollie's in Katy, TX, for the first time this morning and all I can say is I was totally underwhelmed. Their book section was awesome and if I ever go back it would be for books. The rest of the store was "ehh". Food prices were comparable to the grocery store. But the reason I will probably never go back is that there were items that were marked one price which they would not honor even though the sales clerk told me it was their policy to do so. read more

If you like to get things at a good price, and don't mind a revolving inventory, then you'll like shopping at Ollie's Bargain outlet. Think of it like a BigLots, but on Steroids. Seriously! The products are similar, you can find just about everything there - from books and paper goods to housewares. There were rugs and bedding and even furniture being sold in the store. A small clothing section was found up front. The only thing this store seemed to be missing was a frozen food section, but I wouldn't put that past them. The prices were excellent, they claim up to 70% off retail, what I found was more to be 40-50% below the cost you'd pay at your local big box store, and it's for last season's merchandise, all of it was still good, nothing was out of date. Though I did find one book that was marked "unsaleable" I should have taken a picture of that (Dan Brown's DaVinci Code - I think). The staff was incredibly polite and very friendly. I could see myself coming up to Hudson to visit this store from time to time. As it was I spent nearly $100 on things today, snagging some new Serta Pillows for the bed among my many treasures. read more

Bargains are great! You can find a lot of really good deals here and as noted in other reviews, name brand! They carry everything from books, to housing/garden to groceries and remember these are close outs, so the stock/inventory vary every week. The downs: For being a new store- ie. recently opened in Florida- Port Richey, it is quickly becoming dirty and run down. read more

I have been in several Ollie's in several area's and this one was in general "more of the same". Love the book section as always. Love the prices. The only thing I noticed that was different at this location was how crowded it was. I know most Ollie's are jammed full of merchandise but this one was truly difficult to navigate due to the sheer amount of stuff and the narrow aisles - there were also zero shopping carts available when we arrived and it was the same when we left. read more

This place is pretty cool. I like it. It's sort of like a step above a Dollar Tree store but they have real name brand products in here. It seems like what they do is take overstock and inventory that's not selling at various stores, buy the products and then bring them into their store. I think it's a pretty neat concept and I found quite a few bargain items at this location. This will prompt me to go back with some regularity to see what they've got in store. read more

I started shopping there for dog treats, ( which since have been discontinued, the pet asile sucks now), and went back for bath mats and rugs, mats here 6.99, walmart 10.00 plus... Then I got a beautiful stainless steel coffee maker... 19.99 here...75 at walmart . Com!!! Today I got a vaccum, 79.99, the Rover, beautiful.. has a roller ball.215.00 on walmart... I checked it three times!!! I love this place, thanks Ollie's... It's incredible... And for book freaks it's a dream come true. On July 1st went into Ollies Bargain Outlet for the first and now last time. We spent $82.09 and when I asked about the 15% off of everything in the store, the cashier said that ended the day before. I mentioned they still had the flyer out when you walked in the door along with several 15% off signs throughout the store. The lady behind me said the same thing and she walked over and grabbed the flyer from in front of the door. I mentioned a couple of areas in the store where the signs were still up. The cashier called the store manager and explained and while we could only hear one side of the conversation, it sounded like he said to give us the 15% off. As she was about to hang up she stopped and told him the amount we spent and then you could tell the conversation changed and we were informed I could show the manager where the signs were that were still up and he might reconsider, by this time I needed to leave for an appointment and did not want to waste more time and risk being late. While I saw several signs I did not keep track of where and it could take too much time to meet with manager, find a few signs, and argue with him over this, when clearly I was not the only one who saw the signs. Went there for the first time yesterday--and it will be the last time! It is extremely over crowded- no aisle space- and then add shopping carts and you can barely move. Did some pricing and many things one can find at Walmart for same price..store was packed and check out lines were ridiculous- on top of that I managed to get cashier that wanted to chat everybody up and made standing in line irritating. If an emergency were to happen such as fire one is going to find it hard to escape. I don't know about the other reviews praising this place, but I found I could not get out of there fast enough! read more

Not as large as some other locations that recently opened, but nevertheless there's lots to see w/ the revolving inventory. Definitely a large carpeting section-- both rolled, flat, & large area spreads. (There's laminate flooring available, too.) Available are rows & rows of laundry soaps & dish soap, quilts & bedspreads, small appliances, cookware, toys, & books-- an absolutely wonderful & inclusive book inventory for readers of all age groups & interests. You can't beat the book prices at Ollie's! There's also a large section of Christmas decorations including tall inflatables (& fascinating moveable inflatables). See all the pics, but look quickly as Ollie's inventory can change overnight when merchandise from liquidated stores finds its way here &/or managers purchase overstocks from major retailers. The prices, quality, & especially variety here are MUCH better than what BIG LOTS offers (even the limited amount of furniture is) & service on this visit was definitely friendlier than the typical service at its competitor. Ollie's offers what its competitor does not-- MANY top brand names! Spent $4.99 on a front door rug that is of very good quality & would have cost well over $10 @ Walmart. This is certainly a store that deserves a visit; for a rather new store location, our overall experience was very good. Many prices are low. With Christmas approaching, the toy selection might be a great option for parents & grands. There are name brands like Fischer Price & Hasbro galore! read more

What a bummer! Prices are nice; aisles too narrow. They have too little help, creating lines at the check out. Saw many shoppers abandoning their carts and leaving the store. They lost us as customers. Their is no good reason for poor customer service in this day and age and that is what I have observed at Ollies. I feel bad that they are a let down for us. read more
