My mother had her garden tractor hauled to Ag-Pro in St clairsville, because there was black soot…read more We paid them to haul it there and back. The guy called her and said he spent "45 minutes looking it over and cleaning it", and that it was just some grass by the air filter. I went over to check it out after it was back and noticed that one side of the mower deck was touching the ground. I figured out there was a bolt broken. It was the lifter arm bolt. I went back and bought the parts I needed to fix it. Mention that I was a little disappointed. The next day I went back to get another bolt so that both sides matched and had new ones. I also mentioned that the washers on the lifter arm bolt were never there from factory. He tried to tell me that they didn't always put them on there. The printouts that show you every part and part number shows there should be a washer. A little bit of research shows that washers were on back order after covid and I'm assuming John Deere just push them out of the factory without them. They also changed part of the bracket because they knew this was causing these bolts to snap. I also showed him that the reverse pedal had a lot of play in it. He told me that was normal. I mentioned that I thought he should make it right with my mother since she did pay a lot of money, and they didn't find any of the problems. He offered nothing to make it right. I probably would have taken discount on the $80 in bolts and oil I just bought. I guess they're so broke that a couple dollars discount is too much. He told me his mechanic spent two and a half hours looking it over and tried to go on this rant about having to remove the top of the motor. When I called him out for proof on that, because the grass in question was beside the air filter therefore there was no removing anything. He said he would print out a sheet to show the hours. After printing out the sheet he realized he was wrong, and told me he couldn't show me how many hours they spent working on it. I ended up going to Middletown Tractor in Washington PA. They were amazing. I got the parts I needed and he confirmed that the reverse pedal should not have that much play in it and showed me how to fix it. To make a long story short do not give them your business if you want good customer service or your tractor fixed. If a middle-aged housewife can see what's wrong with the tractor and their mechanics can't there's a big problem. Their customer service is horrible and their mechanics need glasses.
