This store has a lot to live up to being the only big box home and garden store in the area. Fortunately, this Lowe's lives up to expectations. We visited to purchase some HVAC ducts for my father's cabin and they had exactly what we needed in stock. Plus, there was someone to help us get the boxes from the high shelf. This store has a full line of everything you need, and then some. They have five different wheelbarrows IN STOCK. They must have had at least five different kinds of rakes and tons of other garden and lawn equipment. They had a great selection of riding lawnmowers, which we'll be buying soon. They had John Deere and Husqvarna riding mowers that were really nice. There was almost no line at the check out either. This is the place to go if you need stuff for your farm, your house, your cabin, your whatever in this area. It's worth the trip! read more

Lowe's has these KeyHero machines that offer to scan your keys and put a copy in the cloud. Presumably, if you ever need a copy of your key again, you can just go back to the machine, download your key information, and have another copy produced. It's a great idea! The only problem is -- the machines don't work!!! I had three copies made from my original key, and only one of the three "sort of" worked. (If you jiggled it a bit while trying to turn it, eventually it would turn. For the other two, there was absolutely no hope.) My original key works perfectly. The original key and the lock itself are relatively new, so there is no significant wear on either one. How they qualified this machine to be deployed in the field with a 67% failure rate, is beyond me. Basically, they created a fancy computer that wastes electricity and cloud storage to create scrap metal. The good news is -- we don't have to be scared of AI-powered robots coming to kill us in the middle of the night. They'll never be able to open the door to get in. But wait, it gets even better . . . . . . I took my keys back to Lowe's and asked one of the employees to use my original to rework the copies. He said they couldn't do that. I told him the screen on the machine said "100% ACCURACY guaranteed". He became very surly and said, "call the manufacturer". When you deflect your responsibility to stand behind your products and services by sending me on a wild goose chase that wastes my time, you disrespect me and insult me. But that's OK. Now I know I can't trust your products, services, or customer service. I'll make a concerted effort to find other alternative and Lowe's will simply become the vendor of last resort. read more

my mother, 70 years old. On a fixed income. She spent nearly $1700 at Lowe's in St. Clairsville, Ohio purchasing lumber in various other things to have a building on her property repaired. And when I went to the Lowe's in St., Clairsville, Ohio and purchased all this lumber and various items I asked for the lumber to be delivered. I specifically asked that we all the delivery person stick all the lumber in the shop because my seven year old mother can't do it and I am not at home during the daytime. I was told that this would not be a problem. First, they canceled my delivery on the date that it was supposed to come to the following morning. This is understandable. However, the delivery guy did not put all the lumber inside the building like I was told he would. Instead, he left it sitting in the yard. my mother is 70 years old, and cannot move any of the lumber. By the time I got home that evening, it was storming and raining so bad the wind was approximately 30 miles an hour. And I had to go out and for 30 minutes move every piece of lumber into the building. not only was I soaking wet but all the lumber was completely wet and some of my boards are already starting to warp. This delivery guy did not care whatsoever about a 70 year old woman happen to put the stuff in it in her garage. He just dropped it off and left. This is unacceptable and I suggested nobody have anything delivered by Lowe's. Lowe's delivery does not put the customer first. read more

Lowes you truly stink as a store. We came in to purchase a new stove, you didn't have it but the warehouse did, ok great. Well called to set the appointment, I cleared the day for it, waited around til 10 minutes to the end of the time frame, I called in. I was told they forgot it, there wasnt room, they didnt set it, all these bs stories! Then couldn't deliver it for another 2 days after being told I got rid of my old one, my kids would be eating out of a microwave, I OFFERED TO GO PICK IT UP MYSELF ANYWAY!!!! They suck, they are taking advatage of alot of people and don't even give a crap!! I am leaving a review everywhere so maybe people won't get scammed out of their money, they won't waste a day waiting for nothing, they won't get rid of their stuff to have a huge spot open now in their kitchen! read more

Lowes, you suck! If you offer a service then provide it! This morning I asked to your non-caring garden center cashier to purchase 10 bags of topsoil and have it placed in my trunk. She calls the guy in the back and tells him some guy wants topsoil. He tells her, to tell me, he's too busy and it's going to be awhile. I'm 65 and disabled but I went and got it myself, loaded 400 lbs of dirt onto the cart then into my trunk. And the cashier tells me to have a nice day? With all the people needing work in the valley this is who you hire? Employee attitudes are a reflection of the management. Nice can do attitude all the way around! read more

WARNING - Lowes Lawnmotor warranty 1. Purchased a Husqvarna Self propelled motor for $404.10.at Steubenville, Oho 2, Purchased a warranty for $99.97 3. Dropped off the motor to Lowes Steubenville, Ohio store. 4. THE MOTOR RAN FINE..., but the Self propelled stopped working while cutting grass 5. After several weeks, called about motor. Told the self propelled motor stopped working because of debris in the part...I asked what are your talking about, I clean under the motor after every use.. 6. Said I don't understand...When I cut grass, check oil, gas, clean under the motor before putting away. 7. Asked how could grass debris get into the self propelled part to stop self propelled 8.Lowes manager said that's what Husqvarna told her, so warranty no good... Could not explain to me what I did wrong! 9. Over 70 years of age, been cutting grass a long time...Had self propelled stopped working over the years, when under warranty was always covered ( Sears craftsman). 10. So, spent a hundred dollars on a useless warranty, and now Husqvarna wants hundreds more to repair.... Would NOT even give me back the motor unless I give them about hundred dollars just to tell me what's wrong with it... Thing is - I told them what wrong with the motor! 11. Both Husqvarma & Lowes, in my opinion, did not honor the warranty I purchased. 12. Was told as first I abused my motor...Wanted to know how I did that...MANAGER HAD NO ANSWER....Then told It was 'Wear & Tear;...So, using your motor to cut grass is Wear and Tear on a Lawnmotor... 13. WOW..Maybe I should had just made my motor a Flower pot and never used it!...You see, its in their self interest to refuse to honor their warranty...What good is spending a hundred dollars on a warranty when nothing is covered. 14. Sooo not worth the wait. This is actually for the Wheeling store, but since they are not on yelp yet, leaving it on this Lowe's. Did an online order for a dryer for pickup today. Made sure it was in stock too. Ordered and confirmed online, got to the store 5 hours later to pickup it up. First they have a new system and then the system canceled my order. Three people didn't have the extra thought process that figure out to just get the dryer and ring it up. We are still currently waiting for the dryer still 45 minutes in....customer service isn't top priority at all. Sad that I'm stuck having to go here due to it's the only home improvement within 30 miles. Update: got a different dryer for same price , after I suggested it. Finally got it an hour later. We ordered online to pickup at that Lowes which is not our regular store. It was our first visit to that one. Online receipt and email told us to Customer Service with a valid ID. We did. The only visible sign when you walk in the door said "Customer Service/Returns". The man working there was frazzled while working with the man in front of us. When finally it was our turn, he scolded us telling us pick up was on "the other side" of the counter, which nobody would have known for lack of signage. He was curt, bordering on rude, did NOT ask for my identification for the $250+ merchandise I bought online. Had he not been so rude, I would have bought a new ceiling light or fan for my bedroom. Only reason I went to that Lowes was to buy more cedar shakes since I cleaned out our local Lowes and still needed more. In future, I will order from my local store and just wait if they are out of stock, as St. C sucks. The man at customer service had no business interacting with Joe Q Public. read more
