The staff here is so friendly! It is like what walmart was 40 years ago when they still cared. There is always all kinds of amazing merchandise including local items like Ski soda. I try to shop here as often as possible. read more

Worst customer service ever. I purchased from Rural King and they never delivered my order. On hold for 50 minutes, then they said they couldn't help me. Toy was supposed to be here in time for Christmas, from Santa, and was ordered on Black Friday. They didn't care they were ruining a kid's Christmas, and said they couldn't ship it to me quicker than 7 days, even though it was their error. Don't buy from them if you want to get what you ordered. This is the first and last time I will ever order from Rural King. read more

Continuation of my review from last week. I still haven't heard back from the supervisor I left a voice message last week. Jeans arrived on Saturday meaning it took 23 days to arrive after ordering them. I don't expect to hear anything from my VM and the jeans have already been charged to me so I suppose I will keep them as I don't have a lot of faith that they could ever complete a credit transaction back to my credit card. ordered two rifle magazines and got the confirmation email telling me they would notify me when my order was ready for pickup, the next day, since i hadn't heard from them, i called the store and they told me they had three in stock and would keep two back for me for my order.the next day after that, i got an email saying my order was canceled because they weren't in sock. called the store back and just got an apology. the magazines had been on sale for a special price. this is a poor way to do someone. of course, to order i had to pay for them but was canceled. read more

Rural King is/was one of my favorite stores and I bought quite a bit from them over the past 3-4 years since they showed up in the Dayton, Ohio area. Last week I visited the Springfield, OH store and was shocked to see 30-40% of the customers not wearing a mask. Even some of the staff were not wearing masks. I asked about this situation when checking out and was told they do not enforce the mask wearing mandate. I decided not to frequent Rural King in person until the virus passes. Today I picked up my order "curbside" at the Huber Heights, OH store and had my order loaded into the rear of my van. The delivery person then came to the drivers window and insisted I sign for my order. I cracked the window to take the paperwork and pen from him and he then dropped his mask to "better talk to me". I was angered and appalled. This franchise simply does not get it. Their handling of the Covid virus is grossly inadequate and I will no longer patronize Rural King unless they provide free shipping and I do not have to set foot on their premises or parking lots. Ordered softener pellets online and it took them 3 weeks to ship out. When finally it was delivered, missing 3 packages. Not even one reply to emails. Takes them 30 minutes to answer the phone. After I told them about the issue, it took them another 1 week to approve a re-shipment. Still, I have not received a tracking number for the missing pellet packages and it's almost 2 months from the original order date. Will be filing a claim with my card company after giving these guys one more week to make this right. read more

Bought 30 bags of potting soil to plant my tomatoes and squash plants in every one of my plants died in a couple days the squask were planted in nothing but potting soil and the flowers we planted in their potting soil all died except one pot, they cost me several hundred dollars I will not buy soil from them again. read more

I was there on Saturday to get ducks and chickens. I asked a man (who ended up being the one who worked in the chicken/duck section) for help finding them and he was just rude. But he did not think to come help me with them?? I ended up talking to a lady, who again, was rude for help and she called the rude man who I had originally talked to. He had no interest in helping. They obviously don't care for their chickens because there was a dead chicken in the box with the rest of the chickens, and they were just walking over it. I understand that we are all going through a rough time right now, but it doesn't make it better for ANYONE, when worker (who are supposed to help customers) are rude to customers, who are giving their story money. Worst customer service I've ever had in a farm store, and they will never get my business again. I will definitely keep shopping Tractor Supply, just wanted to Rural King a chance but never again. Employees should definitely be trained to be kinder to customers!!! read more

DO NOT ORDER ONLINE FROM RURAL KING! I ordered two air-conditioners, and one was shipped to me. I told them that I am going to be out of the country for six weeks and they assured me that the second unit would arrive before I left and they would contact me when it shipped. If I could leave 0 stars I would. Ordered Nov 10, priority shipping, told on 15th it shipped on 13th, then told on the 20th it didn't and was going Fed Ex that day. I cancelled the order right then, and was told to reject the package, which I did and a refund would be forthcoming. When I called back on the 30th because I still don't have the refund, was told they had to wait for package to return and issue an RMA. Still no refund from them, but PayPal returned my money after I filed a dispute with them. Every call is a different excuse. NEVER order from this place. read more

I am usually a big fan of Rural King, but my recent on-line experience has made me rethink doing business with them. I placed an on-line order and had it shipped to the store (to save shipping). I paid for it with a $50 gift card from my birthday. I got an email saying my order was in at my "local" store (30 miles away). I went to the store with my email and they told me that they had no record of my order. I then tried to use the balance of my gift card to pick up a couple of items while I was there and was told that there were no funds remaining ($26 on-line order). I proceeded to call the Customer Service number and was told they could not help me. I sent an email with the issue to on-line Customer Service and waited over two weeks with no response. I called again. My on-line order was cancelled and was refunded the $26 for the on-line order. I am still out the product that was supposed to be at my local store and the balance of my gift card. read more

The worst customer service ever. Buyer beware because if you have a problem with a shipped product, you are screwed. Tool box arrived damaged after a month. Sent pics.
