On our daughters very first day of school, her teachers, Ms. Serena and Ms. Malih were so caring and thoughtful with her. She was nervous to be there and didn't want us to leave in the morning. Ms. Serena took her by the hand and spoke gently with her, and made her feel more comfortable. We knew we were leaving our daughter in good hands that morning, and the positive experiences continued on until our last day of school. The office staff is very friendly, and always makes me feel as if I'm part of the MCS family when I talk to them on the phone, or see them in person in the office. Whenever I stop by the office with my daughter, Ms. Galina goes out of her way to say hi to her and often gives her a warm hug and sometimes a sticker =) I would highly recommend Montessori Childrens School to my anyone I know that I is looking for a wonderful, caring place for the children to go to school / daycare, or anyone that plans to continue with the Montessori teaching philosophy.

There were so many activities going on at the school during the time we attended. The principal, Ms. Mo is amazing and great with communication. She makes a point to greet parents and check in regularly. The front desk coordinator (I think she's East Indian) was also very kind and welcoming. I definitely felt I could trust the staff and the morning teachers, Ms. Vanessa, were especially amazing with updates for me. One improvement is more consistency with pictures/updates in the app. The app is also delayed and has some kinks. I think ProCare is a much better app for updates.

She was put where ever whenever to make their numbers work even spending time in the baby room and shes FOUR! They put kids wherever is convenient for them so they can fill as many spots as possible and the sanitation there is absolutely appalling! You can smell urine and poop as you walk in to sign your child in and out They have no structure it's more of a play place for your child than anything. They dont work on basics such as writing your name, learning your alphabet or even numbers. My child comes home almost daily notifying me she didn't nap because she was in charge of helping her teacher put other children to sleep again she is only FOUR. My daughter is constantly in a teacher type roll which I am paying them to do and the amount of hitting bitting and inappropriate behavior that goes on here is ridiculous. State is there so often I'm surprised they haven't been shut down yet. The owner herself is hardly there and when she is she doesn't have a clue what's going on. I've had to take receipts back to her multiple times because she's tried to double bill me and her excuse is "sorry I must have messed up the books". If you are looking for a place where your child can have a free for all the entire time your at work this might be a good fit. However if you're looking for a place your child can be safe, have fun, and LEARN I highly suggest you take them else where. Since my daughter has been here there have been multiple citations to the teachers and the school and in the past month I've seen 3 different staff members come and go. I will never reccomend this place they take your money and laugh in your face there is no benefits to this place and sadly I have to give them one star and they dont deserve it. Although we've been through at least four different site directors, I'm greatful to Misses Sue, Indigo and Sarah for being consistent faces that greet my child each day and enjoy her. The reason I've knocked a couple of stars is due to inconsistent site directors and inconsistent and irresponsible business practices from the owner. I'm a private pay parent and although the price is one of the lowest I've seen for daycares, we're charged per day. So as private pay parents, we have to wait for invoices in order to address the monthly payment. We're often invoiced at inconsistent dates either in the middle of the month or sometimes we receive 2 invoices back to back because the owner is late in sending them. Another point, while we can pay via the app, I noticed we're being charged additional charges just for inconvenience fees that are anywhere between $20-$30 more. Since this is the case, I've been paying via check. However, the owner doesn't cash the checks right away so I'm having to budget for over $3k in my account, until she decides to cash them. I've also noticed an error in the procare app which the daycare uses to invoice/ charge parents. The app shows an overcharge of $141 discrepancy from what I actually owe. I've emailed and sent notes to the owner multiple times without an apology or any communication that it will get fixed. I've received no communication directly from the owner. For me personally, her behavior is reckless, irresponsible and unacceptable. It's clear she should hire an administrator to handle the finances. And as far as the site directors go, it's clear that they're not the problem.

But they practice writing learn sound of letters and site word which is above and beyond! Shout out to mrs. Somer who has worked one on one with my son. She really puts her all everyday for her kids. She does research on her own to help kids I recently found out my son has adhd and she just totally looked up stuff to help him adjust in her class. she's truly the best of the best and shout out to miss Wanda (the director) for being such and open door and highly communicative she has been so patient and should be recognized for all she has done!

When we first started looking for a daycare, I wanted a play-based non-chain environment. DLC was super close to our house, and I loved the philosophies I read on their website. DLC has been more than I hoped. We were there before pandemic, during pandemic, after pandemic. All the time they had a warm and professional staff, helping all of us navigate zoom-school. The teachers are wonderful and caring. The outdoor play area is huge. The school-age kids in the summer do a ton of field trips. They are very communicative. I feel well-informed. They are constantly evolving and improving. But most of all, my son loves it. He is sad he doesn't go there anymore. I think he would love to be a kid at DLC forever. He has made memories and friendships that will last him a lifetime.

For many years I would go home hungry because kids threw away my lunch and cafeteria said I would have had to pay for another lunch and the teachers did nothing about it I tried to speak up about my problems and they never cared. They where incredibly rude to my parents one time they rolled their eyes at them. Some of these people saying that this is an amazing school baffles me because I was crying almost every night because of the rudeness and the amount of unfair that they did I wrote something personal in my diary. It was about the students that mentally hurt me. to be honest sometimes even physically hurt me I wrote a list saying on how much I hated them and they took that out of context and they rushed me up to the office made me dump out my backpack and went through my diary without consent. They questioned me without an adult present mind you I was about six maybe and I hated my state of mental health by six so I didn't care what they did. I was just scared because they were questioning me and doing a bunch of weird things with each other and they were like whispering so my six-year-old mind did not know what was going on. I would like to say that Miss Ryan was one of my favorite teachers because not all of the teachers were horrible. I can name like only four teachers that I liked in the entire school. it was like picking apples from a tree with those teachers they were like oh we like them so we're gonna make your experience bad. I was removed after fourth grade because I just could not continue going to school with the kids that were a part of that I would 100% not send your kids to that school . I hated my time there and if you want your child at this school just take this as a warning. (just as a little thing, they didn't do any assault. They were just extremely unfair and rude.'
