Stopped in for a quick drink before having dinner nearby. We sat at the bar and were greeted pretty quickly. They have a decent selection of draft and bottled beers. I opted for a Christmas Ale to get into the holiday season. While I love a good cinnamon sugar rim on my Christmas beers, this one became pretty messy, pretty fast. They used honey to rim the glass and almost immediately it started running down the glass, thus getting my hands all sticky. I pointed it out to the bartender, and she was nice about it. Needless to say for my second beer, I declined the cinnamon sugar rim. The bar side is cozy and warm with lots of wood paneling and high booths. They have a full restaurant side with tables and tall dividers on the booths that probably give the illusion of privacy. We didn't get food, but it looked like typical comfort bar food. The chicken wings that came out looked delish. I'd definitely stop in again for a burger or some wings, and a few good beers.

    Cute well stocked bar

Hey just had an early morning drink and meal here (new years day) and YES they are open. Karrie was our bartender and she was a gracious and charming host! She made today fun. Love this place and will come back soon. Thanks Karrie!

Stopped in for a burger, wasn't disappointed. Inside is well kept and pleasantly decorated. Staff always polite and available. Great bar to grab lunch.

The Rush Inn is right across the street from the Becks Art Center. 10 of us came at 12:15 for lunch before going to see Elf. While they didn't really have a table for all of us, we managed to sit across from each other in booths. It worked fine. The drink for all of us was Bloody Mary! The bar tender did a great job in making it just the right amount of seasoning and spice. For one person, who asked for it to be not spicy, they obliged. Would've liked to have a pickle or celery along with the olives, but otherwise, near perfect. The menu is impressive, polish platters, stroganoffs, burgers, wraps, salads even a stir fry. Something for everyone. I had the spicy chicken gyro wrap. I would've liked a bit more sauce, but otherwise, it was really good. We shared fried pickles amd they were tasty and the dip,was tangy and delicious. Some even ordered extra dip for fries. Everyone enjoyed their food. Timing was perfect as we paid and left just after 2. We walked across the street in plenty of time for the 2:30 matinee. Great place. Highly recommend !

Came for some beer & wings and this place did not disappoint! It has a lot of tables and bar is huge so getting a spot was pretty easy. The bartenders were super friendly and gave us some wing flavor recommendations. We tried the Buffalo medium & the rush inn hot. Both were excellent but the rush inn hot has some serious heat & tasted like it's a cayenne pepper sauce of some sort.

$30 for 5 undercooked wings and a bad patty melt from frozen burger no seasoning, A1/mayo instead of 1000 Island made it even worse.

I ordered a Rush Inn burger. The burger tasted old. The mushrooms and onions were barely grilled. The onion rings were tasteless.

My group were supposed to go to Habesha Ethiopian restaurant for dinner and book club but they were closed so we found ourselves at PJ's Irish Pub. AMBIANCE -- Dimmer light but not too dark inside. Typical, traditional bar look and feel. Lots of booth tables plus a center bar area with chairs around it. DRINKS -- I don't drink alcohol so I can't comment on their drink offerings but considering that this is an Irish Pub, they must have lots of options to choose from such as beer. FOOD -- Their menu is large with dishes such as pot pie, tacos, meatloaf, etc. I didn't want to spend a lot of money so I just ordered 2 beef tacos that came with tomatoes but I forgot to ask for it to come without cheese. So, I had to remove the shredded cheese from it. There was a lot of cheese on the tacos too. The tacos were fine - simple enough and the beef tasted just right. This pub is probably more known for their drinks but I may be wrong. Everyone on my table seemed to enjoy their dinner. I noticed someone ordered meatloaf, another for a chicken pot pie, another had a big plate of broccoli with something else (the broccoli looked tasty), and so on. SERVICE (5/5) -- our group was treated well. We were greeted upon walking in plus our server took our orders at a reasonable time. PARKING -- Not the best like most places in the area because it is street parking only but I was very lucky to find a street parking spot right in the front of the pub. You can probably park at the shopping district parking lot across the street where a gas station is located. Overall, although I wasn't expecting to even visit PJ McIntyre's Irish Pub on that cold January evening, it was a nice enough experience (mostly FUN because of the book club group rather than the food). The beef tacos that I ordered were fine and a fair price (around $6.50 total). I most likely won't be back since I don't drink alcohol and I hardly visit pubs or bars for dinner. **** GOAL of 250 reviews in 2026 - 11/250 total reviews in 2026 - 852 total Yelp reviews - Reviewed on 27 February 2026

Off the bat, barmaid brought me my Diet Cola, no ice with a boatload of ice and repeated that when she refilled later on. She wasn't real helpful with suggestions on her faves or most popular dishes. My colleague started with a Moscow Mule and fried pickles, both that he said were good. He ordered just a salad which was nicely sized. He eats ANYTHING from the years i have known him. Not particular in any fashion. I ordered a 'paddy' melt which was crispy enough to bounce a coin off and the amount of grease that my napkin sopped up was over the top. Their entire two sided menu came with hand cut fries and a pickle spear withEVERY CHOICE. NO HEALTHY EATEN THAT I COULD FIND AT THIS LOCATION I never found my pickle spear but the fries were overdone in some instances and way underdone in others, tells me their fryer needs some attention. These meals were done one by one since we were still the only ones there at 12:30. Service was completed quickly enough. Bit disappointed in the ambience and food this go round. They get another chance but it will be some time before i am in this neighborhood since i am a Chardon resident. Made poor impression for this Geauga County person. My colleague and i had plenty of time to chat and talk since we hadn't seen each other since LAST XMAS. So that part was a success. Had a cleansing salad for dinner when i ate later on in the day to try to get all that grease from my system. The Harp and Flannerys still top my reviews for Irish victuals....
