Every single physical therapist at this location is extremely helpful, friendly, and super knowledgeable. All the physical therapists are very good about checking in with you at the start of your appointment about how you've been feeling and how your pain levels have been. They also do a great job of checking in with you throughout the appointment to monitor your strengths/weaknesses and anything that may feel uncomfortable or more challenging. I've worked most with Mike, and he has been great to work with. Not only are the physical therapists amazing, but the aides are also fantastic as well. The aides are always very helpful and friendly. The receptionist is great as well; she does a great job handling insurance questions and is also very friendly. The location is very easy to get to and there's pretty much always plenty of parking. The facilities are always very clean and is very nicely and neatly organized. I am kind of frustrated that I paid a lot of insurance and medical savings monies to get better but not know why or how. This rehab center works on you but doesn't want you to know why or how your getting better. I have had some medical issues that I have not been able to resolve for the past few years. Having tried Western medicine and holistic methods, I decided to try out acupuncture. I was not sure where to find a good acupuncturist (other than Chinatown). I really wanted someone I could communicate my problems to and who could communicate with me so that I could understand everything. Dr. Zhao was the answer to my problems. She speaks English and some Mandarin! I had told Dr. Zhao that it was my first time to acupuncture and told her my problems. She explained everything thoroughly to me and put me at ease by answering all my questions without any judgment. She was very soft spoken, calm, and friendly. During the procedure, I was worried about pain with the needles, but I barely felt a thing! It was very relaxing! Dr. Zhao was able to pinpoint all the tender areas on my body (that I did not even know were tender to the touch)! She is that good! Dr. Zhao was able to relate my tender areas to my medical problem. There are many rooms at this center, and everything looked very clean. While I was resting w/the needles in me, Dr. Zhao put on a heater to warm me up and also some spa music to relax me. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep! Chicago Whole Health Center accepts insurance. Before I made my appointment, I spoke with the other doctor, Dr. Graham Pommerehn, who called my insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) for me to see if acupuncture was covered under my insurance plan. He called me back to let me know what my insurance allowed under my plan. Super nice!!! The only thing I needed to pay was a co-payment. Awesome! Best of all, they are open late until 7pm! The building is very large so you can't miss it. There is plenty of street parking in the area for $1.75/hr.

I initially was introduced to this place by attending a resource event. Curious to see what they do…read moredifferent, I got in line to do a free checkup. I had rotator cuff surgery 6 months prior and wasn't quite comfortable with my current progress, or lack there of. The owner, Dahlia, took a look at my shoulder, did about 10mins worth of massaging and joint mobility movements and I immediately had a significant amount of range of motion than I started with. After leaving I called the location closest to my home and made an appointment. Dahlia had already called the location to give them the heads up that I would be calling and to inform them of what she felt I specifically needed to improve my recovery. Since my first appointment with Dan I have seen a tremendous amount of improvement in such a short amount of time. I can tell Dan cares about my recovery as much as I do. He takes the time to listen and figure out what it is that might be causing any issues or concerns I might be having. I am truly confident in his knowledge and ability to get my shoulder back to where it needs to be! Additionally, the rest of the staff have been nothing but pleasant and engaged in ensuring the exercises I do are being done correctly. Next appt the asst seemed to take over my care. Again do they follow HIPAA laws here or are they just for me One good thing there were few clients but not sure if 6 feet rule was followed as I was on a table right next to another client They stand around and chat about you too much. I am there for care to get better not to hear gossip. Very little privacy for initial consult
