Pat is maybe the best salesperson I've ever met. This man actually drove home to bring me a tie of his own to wear in a wedding that weekend. I had forgotten it at home and was in a bind - boy did he come through. I don't mean to set him up to have to do this again in the future, it was a wacky circumstance that happened to align on someone willing to do me such a huge kindness. Disappointing experience. Pushy salesmen. I typically work in business formal environment but needed wool trousers for a new client that was on the dressier side of business casual. I didn't want to wear my suit pants as separates and wear them down unnecessarily. I explained this to the salesman and after trying on pants that we're too tight in the thigh - you could see the outline of the pockets even though I'd put nothing in them. But the salesman kept insisting they were fine. After I had to reiterate that they didn't meet my expectations he brought me some sort of low-rise, wool blend 5-pocket style pants that looked like they maybe belonged on a golf course. Again, I had to repeatedly tell the gentleman that this wasn't what I was looking for when he kept insisting that I purchase them. I ended up giving up and shopping elsewhere. I understand he probably works on commission, but it's a high end store with premium pricing. Felt like I was at a used car lot. read more

I called Jay Wilson from the airport in Mobile, Alabama on my way to Greenville for a business event. It was Friday afternoon. I realized I had left my blazer at home and had no time to get it. I needed to buy a new one if I was to wear one at my meeting. Jay offered to stay late at the store until I got to Greenville. He had my blazer ready and had changed the buttons to better suit the use of the blazer at the event I was attending. It was well after 7pm when I arrived at the store - they had closed at 5:30 - and he was in no rush to push me out the door so he could start his night. He was as helpful and nice and professional as anyone I've ever worked with. This is a great company with very nice close and a wonderfully helpful team. read more

Just rude. We came in asking about custom men's shirts and you would have thought we asked them to fly us to the moon. Offered to "contact" us about the next trunk show, which has never happened. I've never had such a horrible experience. There are plenty of others places in Greenville that offer this service and we will be sure to go there. read more

Great clothes, amazing staff. Everything here is on the pricey end, but that's no surprise and you definitely get what you pay for. They generally have a good selection, although are pretty light on the smaller sizes. They are very willing to order anything you may need, and will tailor all your purchases. The workers are very friendly and helpful, and may appear to hover a little, but i think they are just trying to help. I can appreciate how difficult it must be to try and be helpful at a store for a gender that usually doesn't want help! I love everything I've gotten here, and if I'm looking for something nice, this is the place i go. read more

I have had several absolutely wonderful experiences at Rush Wilson. I have purchased a pair of Armin Oehler, and Alden dress shoes from David and his customer service was excellent! He genuinely cared that I got just the right pairs of shoes I was looking for and was very patient and kind during the process. Simply put, Rush Wilson is the standard for fine traditional men's tailoring in Greenville. At the core of their business are their made-to-measure events in Spring and Fall. Since I am a person of size (ahem) most of their ready to wear will not fit my ample frame. Their ability to deliver Oxxford, Southwick and other name brands keeps me clothed for just about any occasion. Even if I have not been in the store for six months or more, I always get a friendly greeting by name. Their lines of men's shoes is impressive. I believe the extra cost of the best pays off in long life and great fit. When I take the Alden's purchased at Rush Wilson's in for repair the guy always comments on what a great pair of shoes they are. He should know. You can buy middling quality at the mall or go one better. Rush Wilson's is one better, and you'll make a friend in the bargain. read more

Great experience at Rush Wilson in Greenville. We needed to get my boyfriend fitted for a suit to wear in the next 2 weeks. Jeff was super helpful, and we were able to find something that fits my boyfriend's broad shoulders and trim frame. They are also doing some custom alterations for the perfect fit, but still in time to meet our deadline. Just remember, a nice suit is never cheap. read more

I needed to get a very good suit for a wedding and only had 3 weeks to do it because of my girlfriend. SIGH. She demanded a "Very Good Suit". I live in Asheville, NC and had to drive to Greenville, SC to find a good suit store. I researched stores and decided on Rush Wilson based on other reviews and was so happy I did. As I walked in and explained my awkward situation, the salesman, Bob Torres, took me aside and said he would take care of me. I had no understanding how true those words would be. I am 67 and I don't fit "normal" suit sizes as I am more plump in the middle and smaller in the shoulders. Yes, I could go to The Men's Warehouse, but I needed a "good suit", and FAST! Bob tried to order me a custom suit but the time was too short and the companies were off for vacation and the switch to the fall line. I was ready to give up but not Bob! He ordered two suits and a pair of paints from CA for me to make sure I had a suit for the wedding. He said he did not know what he would do with the extra suit and pants, but "I brought him a problem and he was going to help me deal with it." He didn't even ask for a deposit!!! Unheard of! I have had my own company for 21 years and I tried to have this same customer oriented attitude in my field and found my customers appreciated it but I was in high priced technology. I have NEVER found it in retail and especially in clothing. I told him I did not want him to lose money on this sale and he said "don't worry, I want to take care of you." I will never buy a pair of dress pants, shirts or coat that does not come from this store. It is small, personal, and very special. If you want large and impersonal, go to Brooks Brothers. If you want someone to know you, take care of you and care about you as a person, then this is the store for you. read more

This is definitely Greenville's best men's clothing store. I live in NYC now and am always surprised to see the same clothes you see on Madison Avenue and 57th Street at Rush Wilson- Alden shoes, Burberry, Oxxford, etc., plus other preppy brands such as Vineyard Vines. If you buy clothes here you'll be well-dressed, although the style is like a higher-end Brooks Brothers. No hippie rags here. read more
