We were welcomed by the front desk right away and all staff was kind and knowledgable. The staff let us browse certain parts of the store that were within my price range for bridal. The selection for under $1,100 bridal dresses was huge compared to some other boutiques I visited and dresses were organized by price range so the consultant was not pressuring me to "buy up" or go out of my budget. I found my dress off the rack but never felt any pressure to buy and the staff were very much advocates for body positivity which helped me feel extra confident! Vest and jacket was too small, they had me return the next day for no reason and the following day as well for no reason, all because they promised me they would be there when they weren't. It ended up causing me so much trouble, from canceling haircut and having to pay extra to get a haircut after hours, and also being late to the rehearsal. And still having to take photos in the small bear and jacket, they brought the right size an hour before the wedding so that was the only good thing, but they also took no responsibility in anything that transpired and kept putting the blame on everyone else. When he came to pick up (I was not with him) apparently there was a big issue with another customer - a mom who was asking for another white dinner jacket because the one she ordered was see through. I am not sure exactly but this is what my son said. On the event night he went to put on the shirt and there was a big rip! I saw him take it off the hanger. The only thing the "manager" could say was "I cant say...,maybe it was..... us maybe it was you." I swear if she had said I'd give you $10 off your next tuxedo I would have said THANK YOU. Do not get a wedding dress here. My room mate ordered her dress here and they said it would arrive in June. It never came and she had to keep calling them to ask where it was. It finally arrived the week of the wedding and was several sizes too big. Then it had to be altered twice because it wasn't done correctly the first time. It was finally ready the day before the wedding. For reference it was ordered in March for an end of July wedding. Also the sales associate Cheryl was very rude and treated us abominably. My room mate is the sweetest and kindest person and was very patient with all Of their mistakes but this woman treated us like scum, yelled at other employees in front of us and was all around the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Shannon has been excellent, very energetic and having my best interest at heart! Since I have a heavy pear shape I was having trouble finding MOB dresses until I went to this shop! My daughter had an appointment at four and the store closed at five. We were late, and a very friendly lady helped by having us look for some wedding dresses. She showed us the dressing room and we waited while my daughter tried on the dresses we picked out. The friendly lady that was helping us asked her what she liked and did not like about the dresses she tried on. We noticed that it was after 5:00, and I offered to come back another day. In the day it was supposed to be completed I never received any calls and decided to make a call the day after. When I called, the lady placed me on hold and told me that she would call back. I never received a call so the following day (the afternoon before my event) I went to pick up my dress. My dress that I spent almost a grand on did not have ANY of the alterations done that they have promised. I wished I would've known beforehand so I could've taken my business to a more professional establishment. This is my experience : I Called Dimitria Design Friday morning at 11am for a prom dress for the next day in Boston. Natalie was beyond incredible. The dress we had ordered online was not going to be arriving on time since it was at the designer store, so Natalie send me photos of potential dresses she had in the store that could make our daughter happy and have it shipped overnight. A MUST READ! This is a Buyer Beware Review for all parents of a MINOR who has purchased or may purchase items on their own at Dimitra Designs. My 16 yr old daughter went shopping for her first prom dress 3/7/23. After hours of an unsuccessful search she entered Dimitra Designs to take a look. From the beginning, my daughter told the sales representative the dress would have to be approved "in person" for the event later this month. She did find a dress. The sales representative suggested earrings to purchase with the dress and brought out 3 pairs of shoes to try on. My daughter was told, if she picked one of the pairs of shoes, they would be free. She selected a pair of earrings and a free pair of shoes thinking her sales representative was just being so nice! The price was more than my daughter had in her account and would be unable to pay in full for the items. She was not offered the $50 policy, to hold the items for 3 days and felt that she needed to put $ down and not miss getting a dress she finally found. At this time she was presented a contract to sign which states: no refunds, no exchanges, no exceptions. To proceed further the sales representative coerced my child, a MINOR, to enter into a contract, without parental knowledge or consent, to purchase a dress knowing it had potential not to be approved. My daughter left with a "free" pair of shoes, copy of the invoice/contract of $ put down/balance owed but without a dress or earrings. Notified of the ill advised purchase, I directed my daughter to get the money returned to her, return the "free shoes", there was no exchange of purchased merchandise and I did not consent to her signing a contract knowing she is a MINOR. On 3/8 she went back to Dimitra Designs: unsuccessful due to an employee citing the signed contract. On 3/9 I spoke for some time with the customer service representative at the store. Explaining, the contractual purchase was without my consent and in a manner extremely predatory in nature by the sales representative, preying on an excitedly emotional MINOR. I was informed it was common practice that MINORS come in frequently without a consenting adult and make purchases. ALARMING! Examining the shoes so "freely" given we come find out the shoes were USED! No explanation mattered nor that I offered to pay for the $50 hold fee, not offered to my daughter. I insisted the dress, a stock dress - not special ordered, and the earrings had never left the store: still no return of the money. The owner was contacted: unwilling to compromise to my offer, made an offer I was couldn't accept and said the contract is in place for a reason. I left, researched and made a call to legal council to ensure I understood the information found correctly. Laws are in place here in SC to protect MINORS for such events as this. South Carolina law states that a child is a person under the age of 18. In general, a child cannot enter into a contract or other legally binding agreement. http://www.scstatehouse.gov/code/t63c005.php. Link for Section 65-5-310. SO, though my daughter wanted to buy the dress and earrings and though there were predatory sales tactics used on a MINOR coercing her to enter into a contract to complete the sale, the law prohibits such predatory practices. A MINOR cannot be liable from entering into a legally binding contract. No matter what rebuttal to this review may be, the fact of the matter: it is irrefutable that Dimitra Designs has violated Section 65-5-310 by coercing my child to enter in a contract as a MINOR! The only recommendation I can give for Dimitra Designs is this: If you as a parent/guardian of a MINOR, have had that MINOR purchase merchandise from this business without your knowledge and consent, been denied a refund or exchange - I strongly recommend you present your contract along with a copy of Section 65-5-130 and proceed with a request of that which was previously denied. The contract is VOID - NO EXCEPTIONS! read more

This was my first experience wedding dress shopping, and I will not be returning to this store or recommending it to anyone in the future. Upon arrival, we were asked to wait, but not look at anything or browse. There were also signs saying that if you took photos you would be asked to leave. Let's just start by saying, what bride-to-be goes into a bridal appointment thinking she won't want to take pictures in the main contenders for her final decision? We are shuttled into a changing area where they ask me about my style and budget. We are told to wait while she goes and finds some options. For the first two dresses, the consultant helps me in and out of the dresses, but after that she pretty much disappeared for the rest of the appointment. My MOH had to help me in and out of dresses. None of the dresses were remotely close to the photos I had shared with the consultant, and most of them were above my price point. The consultant also failed to tell me this detail before putting me into the dresses. This is a huge FAIL in my opinion. What if I had fallen in love with one of the dresses and then I couldn't afford it because they didn't even tell me? They also refused to tell us what designer or style the gowns were, "to prevent us from buying Chinese knock-offs." ...or it was to prevent us from finding the gown at a store that made you feel like the princess you deserve to feel like. Overall, this experience left me angry, almost in tears, and dreading future gown shopping experiences. I don't recommend this place to anyone looking to feel taken care of and special. read more

I had a bridal appointment with Jessica. She was the best bridal consultant I had out of the three stores I went to looking for a wedding dress. The selection at Dimitra was great but Jessica was what really made the visit memorable. She pulled a variety of dresses and would bring some "wild cards" to try on. I found this so helpful because at other stores they would bring the same style over and over in different material. She was attentive and listened to what I liked and didn't like from each dress. We have people in the wedding party who still don't have their items, or wrong sizes the day before the wedding. They make excuses and show no remorse for any inconvenience. Since I was coming from out of town, I saw on their website they do appointments by request on sundays. I called on a week day and asked if I can make an appointment on a sunday. The girl flat out told me no. And I asked her why since it was advertised on their website. I told her I was coming from out of town and wanted to make sure they had an appointment so I can get what I needed as well as them for sure being open. She then tells me that they do accept appointments but only until after Labor Day. That would be perfect for me since I was actually looking to make an appointment in October. I proceed to tell her that and she got really rude and said that October still wasn't after labor day. I got confused and paused for a second. Like what?? Labor day is on September 5th and I'm looking for an appointment in October. I told her that. She got really rude and said they weren't taking any appointments at all and tells me that she couldn't even do it for me since she doesn't even have the appointment book in front of her. I went the week of Christmas and found the shop beautifully laid out, the staff attentive, and a lot of wonderful dress options. My mom and I were helped by Jasmine who was a fantastic listener. I didn't have a lot of specific ideas, just a few vague notions of what I would like to try and she brought the perfect dress back to the room, plus several others that I loved so I could get an idea of what else might be out there. My daughter's best friend suffered a horrific loss in February when her fiancé died in a tragic accident. All of her vendors refunded deposits and her bridal photographer wouldn't take any payment for portraits. Dimitra's would not refund her bridesmaids dresses even after this precious girl went ahead and bought her bridal gown for a wedding that would not be happening in May. I know as a business owner that the loss could be recouped and now there are a lot of girl out there who will not be buying anything from them. Please do not go to this shop. If you plan on having a pleasent, encouraging, enjoyable, and memorable time wedding dress shopping, this will ruin it. We came from about 2 hours away and arrived for our appointment at 12:50. The appointment was at 1pm. We were introduced to a man that showed us the store, then asked us to wait for our consultant. We waited 40 minutes past our appointment to meet with our dull and grey consultant. She didn't comment or have much to say and when we made comments she was so unresponsive you wanted to ask her if she was paying attention. The dresses that she brought just weren't very apealing and seemed cheap.. *they will not tell you the name of the designer either* and most dresses that she brought were not in the brides size. It was upsetting to see dresses that could have looked amazing if she would have put time and effort into find dresses that fit and spent more time clipping and tightening them. ** you nor anyone in your party can look at the dresses with or without a consultant ** Also there are obnoxious signs hanging around telling you no picutes and saying things like "the dress you want to think about tonight is a dress someone is coming back to get tomorrow".. When we asked if these were off the rack dresses she didn't know. Also lets not even get started that in the middle of trying on dresses another consultant came over and asked to share our changing booth and mirror with us, which btw is built for one bride. read more

I would never recommend Dimitra's to anyone even my enemies. They have honestly ruined my experience as a bride. Once I received my dress it was to small and I was told multiple times that it was fine and that it fit during my initial alterations appointment with Beatriz . She called Rebecca in to see if it was to small and Rebecca said it was not to small because she could fit a hand down my back. I was told that I would have 3 appointments for my alterations and would be able to take it home on the 3rd time. However, Beatriz was probably the absolute worst seamstress I have ever had. I went to two appointments where absolutely nothing was fixed on my dress- still to small, straps falling down, and to big up top all together. On the third appointment the one I was supposed to take my dress home, the straps where still to loose (I previously had told them the two other visits that they were loose.) Beatriz had me in front of the mirror pinning me up to tighten them when Dimitra herself walked by me saw my dress and ripped the back open and said this dress looks awful. She agreed that is was way to small and asked Beatriz what she had done to the dress. NOTHING! Beatriz told her that I had more appointments after that and I had to let Dimitra know that no, I was supposed to take my dress that day. Dimitra told me that I would not be taking this dress home and that any dress leaving her shop needed to look like it was tailored to that bride and mine looked awful. My seamstress put pins in my dress to see where she needed to tighten the straps and I told her that I was being stuck and she said I was fine. When I went to take my dress off I had blood on my dress where she didn't pin me correctly and had scratched me so much! I told the lady at the front that I had blood on my dress from where I was stuck and she told me to lick my finger to see if I could get it off! Which obviously I could not and got stuck in my thumb and bleed again. Well they rescheduled me for the fourth week in a row to come back and try it on again the next week and I was told it would be fixed- mind you I live 45 minutes away and have to keep coming back and forth. Well I came back the next week and they had fixed the size of the dress however my sleeves were still to big and kept falling off and you could see straight through my bust area. I was told that I needed to stand up the correct way the entire time and that they would not fall. I had to sternly tell her that I was not standing up straight all night and that I would be dancing and mingling and they needed to fix it. They had initially put cups in my original dress that we paid for but when they had to complexly take apart my dress to make it bigger they did not put them back in and made me pay another $25 to get them put back in! Well they rescheduled me AGAIN to come back last week to try on my wedding dress for the final time. Once I arrived and put the dress on NOTHING had been done again. At this time I ended up breaking down crying, screaming and telling them that they had ruined my day and that this experience had literally been the absolute worse part of my wedding when it should have been the best. At that point a new seamstress Mariya (an angel) came out and said she had not worked on my dress other than to make it bigger but that she would fix my dress and not to cry. She said that the dress was way to big and a lot of alterations needed to happen. I ended up crying again because bridal pictures were the next week. She said that she would come in the next day (Saturday) her day off and fix my dress. My mother and I made yet another trip to Greenville the next day where Mariya had performed a miracle and fixed my dress in less than 24 hours. She asked me to pick out which one I liked the most on the hanger and that we'd start with that one. Once I put it on, she continued to tell me how beautiful I looked. As a mother of a bride I would give Dimitra No stars! Jessica was great in the beginning but when things started to go wrong she dropped the ball. My daughter ordered her dress in November, and we paid $200 for extra length, and it was due in May but came at the beginning of June. My daughter flew down from DC and the dress came without the additional length. They, of course, did not offer to refund our money, but said they would reorder the dress. They said it would be in late September, which was cutting it very close to have alterations done for a wedding on November 12th and bride needed to be in Miami November 8th. They said the dress would be overnighted once it came into the warehouse. The dress sat in a warehouse in MS for five days without moving, and when it finally went out, it went standard ground delivery. No one at Dimitra even checked to see that it had not been overnighted. My daughter could only find one boutique with an open alternations appointment that was on a Friday.
