Although this school is amazing, it still has its flaws. There are barely any field trips since they can't fix their busses or get new ones, canceled the awards ceremony and turned it into a school wide chapel (and I get it. It's a Christian school but at least give the students some recognition for all their hard work through the year), and don't get me started on how many teachers we don't have causing barely any teaching. There are so many problems. There was a time where the elementary was amazing, but a lot of those teachers have left and long been replaced. Just the year of 2025, they had a 5th grade teacher for less than a week because administrative leaders failed to ensure her background check was cleared I've heard 1st grade teacher brings in her baby for the day, and not while she's stopping by on a check in from maternity leave.... The dean is rude and the admin is found calling kids pigs, idiots, stupid, dumb, and among other things. They lost their soul and heart when a man named Mr. Good came in insisting his daughter Jen desanto be promoted as the administrator after the former one resigned. However, she was grossly under qualified (and the one calling the students those names) and he had to settle on having her be co-adminastrator with whoever was more qualified to help run elementary. Mark Good had no background in the education world, he's just a decent salesman and anyone who wasn't buying that his daughter was the best choice he quickly pushed out. They lack Christian character, along with the "superintendent" Rumsey. The English HS teacher is also the guidance counselor which results in lack of teaching, but she is pretty decent at keeping things confidential. They have a handful of really hard working teachers who love the ministry, but the leaders are making it more business mindset rather than allowing it to be a ministry. They let nearly anyone who is willing to pay tuition in, and have boosted the cost of tuition since the school choice has been enforced in Florida. Many students who graduated from here are unprepared for college, and Jen desanto has held up the process of being admitted into college for graduting seniors due to her negligence and laziness to get proper paperwork sent on on her side. They expelled multiple kids who joked about offing yourself, yet one student remains there because his parents are church members despite him threatening to shoot up the school, or more so referencing that he wouldn't shoot certain people. read more

The school itself isn't terrible. Though, there is a specific teacher, Mr. Lucas, who is also the dean of the school. He doesn't have an ounce of kindness and is nothing but mean to the students. He makes snarky comments and is basically bullying the students. He takes advantage of his job and gives out detentions and suspensions for no reason, and most of the time, the students don't even deserve them. It seems like there is nothing but negativity and hatred in his heart. If the school did a student survey to ask if they've ever felt attacked or uncomfortable by Mr. Lucas, 95% of the students would say yes. I really do hope that God finds him because as of right now, it seems like he doesn't have the Gospel in his life, despite working at a Christian school. I truly believe that this guy is not fit for his job at all. read more

Our family has been truly blessed by our experience at Ruskin Christian School over the past four years. Amazing school! Excellent academics and Christian guidance! RCS is a light in our community

this school is a mess. so many things happen in one year. the teachers weren't exactly the best female students have told me that the teacher mr lucas made them uncomfortable in his class, another teacher that was the best was mr howl, don't get me wrong he was nice but he picked favorites, he would always make something a bigger deal than it was, for a example i would play with my hair it was distracting anyone and mr howl would go out his way and stop what he's doing is making a comment and try to go back and forth with me about playing with my hair even if it wasn't bothering anyone, another thing he would do is get mad at students if there METAL water bottle made the slightest noise that ticked him off and talk about "banning water bottle" sense it bothered him so much. the school is very quiet on so many levels in the sense of they called my parents over me wearing "too many bracelets" once but they didn't call my parents the moment a student sexual assaulted me even when the assistant principal claimed, "if your being honest this is a serious thing" but failed to call my parents. sense the school is so small everyone knows everyone's business and will talk about you behind your back. the school is very old and have heard from students that theres "mold on the stairs they walk on everyday" quoted from a student from there. the school is very strict on hair hearing from a student saying "if you have braids, twist or dreads you look like a drug dealer" which personally i find outrageous and a teacher agreed which is even more outrageous. and to add this is something you could find a but i heard many WHITE student either said it to me or just in general but i heard they said the n word and another white student talk about supporting the KKK by what ive heard. the all the staff is connected mainly by family and the school rules are a little much regardless private or public school. one last thing is that students claim that they have basic education there is see where that comes from apparently the teacher makes the winter and end of year exams. not a school i personally recommend for anyone (i would give this a .5 star if i could) read more

Wonderful Private Conservative Christian school, we loved the preschool and elementary classrooms. Our family has made many friends here over the years. The kids are also very welcoming. They are have a on site cafeteria and provide cooked hot meals. National Abeka curriculum used here so if the kids ever transfer you know there'll be on the same level. Security is top notch cameras electric doors etc. they do have a cafeteria on site as well and bagged lunches are also welcomed, Nice playgrounds One for the older kids and one for the preschool. Also new playground equipment and it's freshly mulched. Super clean classrooms really nice if you're looking for small private pre-K through high school. read more

My daughter has been here since 9th grade. She is now in 11th. She loves the school and so do I. Small classes and academically very strong. Will recommend to anyone needing a good for kids. read more

My experience was horrible, leadership went as far to to say that my child had sensory issues, complaints everyday about my daughter just simply being a 2 year old having a hard time adapting. After spending all that money on supplies( which I never got back), tuition and enrollment. You think they would give my child more than 7 weeks to adapt. when I went to the doctor they said she had no sensory or learning issues. She was totally fine. They kicked her out without warning which affected my job and college education. Her father asked on a Friday if she was getting kicked out and miss Liza said no. The weekend passed and on the same Monday they had her packed up and with withdrawal papers ready to go. They could care less about being tactful about the withdrawal process. Not even the director addressed me or my child's father during the withdrawal process. According to my pediatrician and other child care experts I've spoken to, I wouldn't want my child in a school that doesn't have the patience, dedication and love, needed for children that are having difficulty to adapt anyways. This was my honest personal experience with this school.
