Bathrooms are clean enough and decently well stocked. Parents can grab a seat on one of many benches and there is good visibility as the kids run from area to area. There are baby and regular swings, and one big flat disk that you can lay down on. There are also spider web ropes for climbing. The softball fields are great for running the bases in between games, or flying a kite in the outfield. We tend to come in the evenings when it's cold so we haven't had a chance to use the splash pad but the structures in the area are still available for climbing. Solid choice for running off some kid energy.

My kid was able to enjoy the splash pad all to herself. There's an outdoor shower right by it as well to rinse off. The splash pad was interactive and fun. There are various swing sets here of different styles fit for different ages. There was ample parking. Many of the areas are shaded. The bad: We came upon opening hours and the gate wasn't open yet. People opened it around 7 minutes late. My husband and I were about to leave but luckily stood around trying to make phone calls for long enough that someone eventually came and opened the gate. According to the people up front, they're also "not allowed to tell guests it's closed" when they come in unless they ask. They said it's actually been closed all summer and they don't know when it will be fixed. Okay, let's make lemonade out of lemons then. Why not just enjoy the other play structures? Would love to... however ***everything*** is soooo run down. Coming from someone who doesn't normally care about anything enough to write a negative review... don't go here. All of the climbing structures are crumbling, dirty, worn, and covered in bird poop. All. of them. I saw 4 stray cats running around in there. The splash pad doesn't work. I don't know why they're even open to be honest. I actually feel bad for the facility itself. I'm sure it was amazing when it was clean, taken care of, and the splash pad worked. The only thing missing is a bathroom and while I understand that it's prevent homeless people from moving in, it does limit the amount of time that anyone can hang out here (especially with littles). There is also a lot of shade which is a big plus as a mom with a little one. I love taking my baby out but when it's hot and there's no shade, I just turned around and go back home but with this place being so shady, I love it. I wanna come back ! I love that there is a gate. It makes me feel a little bit more safe and there is a splash pad. It is small but on the day that I went it was not crowded. During an afternoon, I visited Laguna Lake again to take pictures of the aquatic birds. The weather…read morewas pleasant and sunny. I saw mallards, geese, and a great egret. There are trails to access different parts of the lake. Many people circle around the lake or fish recreationally. Signs around the lake continue to prohibit feeding the wildlife. I'm happy with the pictures I took, but I can still improve. The experience was decompressing with sounds of flowing creek water and birds chirping all around the air.

Parking is easy with a large lot right next to the lake, opposite of the lake are some hiking trails if you have more time. It's a nice loop going around with some different areas along the way such as a small creek, reeds near the shore, and some water works that looks like they have been turned off or no longer function. Even in Winter there are a lot of different birds around. My kids loved following and chasing the large pelicans in the lake. You can fish here and there are children's fishing competitions. Just keep in mind to have a permit because when we went there was a police officer checking and ticketing people.
