From the beginning, the treatment and care provided was vastly different! His office staff is very pleasant and went above and beyond to accommodate my crazy work travel schedule. When I arrived, I was met and greeted by everyone, even when they were just walking through the office! Dr. Boerner was kind and listened very intently to my concerns. We chatted bout my lifestyle, interests and what I wanted the outcome to be. He was realistic, frank and compassionate at the same time.The comfort level I felt was unexpected and beyond positive--it was like we were in my living room, not some cold, sterile medical environment! After my procedure, his staff called the next morning to see how I was doing! In today's world, who does that? At the most, I expected an email and lack of personal attentiveness! I only waited a couple minutes before Ashley Cafferty greeted me and walked me back to my exam room. Ashley and I went through my medical history, my transplant timeline and my relationship with the sun. I appreciate that she took in everything that I was throwing at her. She didn't rush me and everything that I had to tell her. Her attention was truly undivided. Ashley did a thorough exam of my skin. She checked every mole to make sure they weren't suspicious for anything concerning. We also went through my dry skin concerns and possible treatment options to help alleviate some of the dryness. It is quite the awkward situation, having someone you just barely met go through every inch of your body but Ashley made me feel comfortable the whole time. I couldn't be happier coming to this office to get my relationship with a dermatologist started. The staff is great. The office itself is stunning. The room I was in was clean and professional. I was lucky enough to be seen and treated for this problem by a great doctor at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. About 5 years ago I develop more problems in the same area and was talked into letting Dr Williams take care it here in Boise rather than traveling to Minnesota. This turn out to be a huge mistake which I now must live with for the rest of my life. Unless it's a matter of life or death, I will never again allow a doctor in Boise to treat me for anything serious.
