I definitely believe this is a hidden gem in Florida. When I came in to this Russell Stover's, I was not expecting it to have two different rooms filled with different candies that Russell Stover sells in convenience stores. One room was styled like a gift shop, and the other room was more of an outlet setting very basic walls, but filled to the roof with candy. They had Halloween candy, Valentines candy, and even Christmas candy. Definitely a cool and unique experience especially for someone with a sweet tooth.

This store is such a fun place to stop on a road trip and has delicious ice cream! They usually have some great deals on chocolates, and a huge selection. The ice cream is Blue Bell so it's very tasty, and their homemade hot fudge is amazing! The service was fairly quick, even with long lines and crowds at Christmas time. The store is huge and clean, and even though it can get crowded it never feels cramped.

Well, you can either get regular priced items or you can go into the back where they have discounted holiday and seasonal items like Halloween, Valentine's Day, and Christmas candy. I'm trying to get away from eating sugar so I decided to try the sugar-free candy. I got the caramel pecan and surprisingly it was full of flavor so this will definitely be my go to candy.

Wow. Just wow. Came in for one thing and bought a heck of a lot more! Meant to buy an ice cream cone but forgot. Love the free sample upon entry. Sets the whole tone. Stocked up on chocolate covered peanuts and cherries, got a box of chocolate nuts. Loved the selection of Halloween decorated candy. They also had caramel apples. Another thing I would like to get next time! Parking was easy.

Free samples as soon as you walk in the door. What a wonderful place with so many options for chocolate. Very large establishment with a good amount of selections. Prices from low to high. Sugar free options and holiday options Great customer service and checking out was easy

I swear I had written a review for Russell Stover before! I have been stopping at this store for 30 years! My grandparents lived in the Villages a long time ago and this was a must stop when I was a teenager. They have a outlet section with previous holiday candies slashed in pricing- every kids dream! I was sure to introduce my kids to this place as well and even stopped here with my Boy Scout troop one year when returning from summer camp (not my best idea- herding cats was easier). Every once in a while, since moving to Jax, I will pop in for treats. The store is large and filled to the brim with everything imaginable- they have specialty cases full of hand picked chocolates, caramel apples, fudge and even an Ice Cream case. The shiny wrappers of sweet confection induce childhood excitement even in the grownups! They even have a rewards program! Check the counter on the way in for a free sample (it varies every time) and they have sales on select candy on pallets near the door. This shopping extravaganza was a bit different as we picked over sugar free candies. Even grabbed a tub of sugar-free chocolate chips! Always a delight~ I highly recommend going the 3 miles off I75 for this treat!

This place is giant and filled with aisles and aisles of Russell Stover brand Chocolate. Imagine if Walgreens or CVS expanded the candy section to be the whole store... that's what we're talking about here. They had Easter Candy, Christmas Candy, Halloween Candy, and some items that looked to be limited releases. They had a big sugar free section too. A lot of the product was well past it's expiration date. Some of it around a year past. I'm not an expert on if it's bad, but check the dates if you're buying. We did manage to find some stuff to buy and it was good. Maybe next time we'll try the ice cream counter which seems to be popular as well.

The Russell Stover Chocolate Factory is a absolute great gem of a business. First of all who doesn't like free samples. When you first enter the store they always have free samples of chocolate waiting for you. Next it's a store full of discounted chocolate, I'm a true chocolate lover so I could peruse around the store all day and when I finally take a break they have chocolate candy apples, chocolate strawberries, and of course every kind of different chocolate candy from a variety of brands. Then they also have some great ice cream served by a super friendly staff. If you have a sweet tooth this is undeniably the best place to visit. I hope to see you there soon.

Be warned, most chocolates at the outlet are over a year out of date and the taste stale. Not worth the savings.

A decent interval later!!! NOW, the food. Hot, homemade cornbread to the table, and a peach ice tea that is like no other I have enjoyed ANYWHERE in the south. Hubby chose the Texan Chicken Fried steak, with smashed potatoes and greens, and I picked my favorite southern dish (one that I cannot make at home without ruining ~SHRIMP & GRITS!) and it was beyond description. Shrimp almost the size of quail, with perfect spices and texture. Creamy grits with cheese and a few bell peppers for a variety. I never DREAMED of using salt or pepper.....it would have been an affront the the dish itself, My husband's smile told me he loved HIS chosen dish down....that, and all but licking his plate! We have the decadent looking slices of cake her to share later with coffee, but there was no chance we would skip trying them.....but also no chance we could eat them immediately after lunch without exploding! Service was prompt without hovering, and we will be returning either for MY birthday or if we have friends come to visit. HIGHLY AND TOTALLY RECOMMEND FOR A SPECIAL MEAL. This small shop was absolutely perfect for the entire family. When you walk in, it's got a retro, "tye-dye" look and feel that brings you back decades. It's really fun and lots of memorabilia to bring people back. I think my personal favorite was the wall rotary phone, and challenging the kids to use it Once inside, we were greeted by the lone employee scooping the ice cream that day. She was fantastic, asking everyone if they wanted a sample of something and making sure we knew how the ice cream could be served, whether in a dish, a cone, or as a shake. We took our time but we all settled on something different. I picked out the "adult" butterscotch crunch shake. I would argue it might have been the best I've had in a long time! The flavor was amazing and, getting it as a shake, it tasted so smooth and creamy! We all enjoyed our ice cream, the ambiance, and the staff it was all around a great experience. I could only imagine the atmosphere and feel on a night with one of their activities such as trivia or karaoke. What a great shop!
