Everything came out awful. Nearly inedible. Have no idea what went wrong but something did. Worst meal out my wife and I have had - maybe ever. Atmosphere is nice but it's just not worth it. Stopped here after a Sunday morning golf match with a neighbors couple for a late breakfast. Served until noon and it was only 11 AM. Vickie was our server and was prompt and efficient with taking orders, keeping our beverages full and serving us with a friendly smile and demeanor. The only small glitch was the biscuits and gravy was a bit salty and not the best tasting in my opinion. Seemed they used a different recipe from what I am familiar with. The sausage served with another breakfast was somewhat dry also. Overall good service but just ok food. We will return for another try in a few weeks read more

Whenever our Tuesday league plays near Fenney Grill we always go there afterwards for lunch. This past Tuesday we went hoping to have our favorite tuna and avocado wrap only to discover that it's not available during season. Our waitress explained the reasoning and apologized for the disappointment. We settled on sharing a Mediterranean flatbread and have found a new favorite. It was delicious, cooked well and tasty. We sat in the porch right near the heaters making it very comfortable. Looking forward to our next Tuesday near Fenney!! read more

I ate here a few months ago and the service was ridiculously slow and I swore I would never go back. Meals came out at different times and multiple orders were incorrect. Now I see that it was written up on some health violations and feel that this is important for people to know about before eating here. I hope they put the proper protocols in place to make it safe to eat here again. Nice setting. Great food and location. Having pool outside makes perfect spot for taking kids or grandkids.

Fenney is a nice restaurant and so convenient with it being next to a great family pool. I will say the Ahi Tuna portions were ridiculously small, but my family enjoyed the food on two different locations. It would be nice to have more low carb options. read more

Service was very good, but the food was substandard. The baked potato was very good, but it's been decades since I got a bad baked potato. The fish was bland and overcooked - a bit rubbery. The vegetables were obviously from frozen and were literally cold. Based on my meal I'd give it 2 stars. I'm graciously giving 3 stars b/c my friend really liked his pot roast. read more

We came here wanting wings. After a 10 minute wait we were seated inside. There is covered outdoor seating along with table and booths. Service is really slow at this restaurant with another 10 minute wait for our server to take our drink order which at this time we were ready to order. Food came out pretty quickly from a different server however we were never provided any table settings/utensils. It was a good few more minutes for our server to check in on us and we asked for utensils. Ordered the wings (fried) which came out nice and crispy did add a little table salt to them since I like them naked no sauces on top. Wings were a good size and come to an order. Steak Quesadilla, no much flavor the Quesadella a little disappointed in taste. The portion is a large portion easily shared among 2 people. Only Sour Cream and Salsa come with the order sadly no guacamole - might of made a difference in taste. Next time will pass on the quesadilla. Service is just ok, food is mediocre at best and it's very loud inside. Not worth the overpriced meals.

The biggest issue I had with this place was the extremely slow service. We went on Sunday for breakfast. The restaurant was not overly busy. We were seated within 10 minutes of arriving. After placing our order it took nearly an hour for our food to arrive. It was bacon, eggs, and pancakes! I literally could have driven to the grocery store and come home and cooked it myself in that time. In a positive note, the food was hot when it arrived. Also, the Steak and eggs special for 12.95 sounds like a good option. I wanted to order it but, was told they ran out of steak. I hope this doesn't happen often. read more

We ate here in the outside covered patio area while visiting some family from out of state. Ended up getting the French Dip with fresh fried chips. The French Dip was decent, the star of it was the roasted ribeye used but there was definitely too much bread in comparison. I would have honestly had a smaller sandwich with more meat-to-bread ratio. The fresh fried chips were perfectly cooked and had a nice crunch to them. We ordered the fish fingers for the appetizer to split among the table and honestly, they were the best thing that everyone ordered. The amount that came with the plate was honestly enough to be a main meal if you want it to be. The fish was nice and flakey and had a good flavor to it. The breading was the star as I believe they used corn flak cereal and it was double breaded and fried which gave it some of the most crunchy exterior that I have eaten with fried fish while bursting with flavor. The wait time was incredibly long though to actually get our food and several larger tables that arrived and ordered after us got their food beforehand which was odd. We were in no rush but would have been nice to get it in the order we arrived and placed our order. We ate here after a recommendation from a neighbor. Glad we did. Wife had chicken tacos. I had prime rib. Both were great. My neighbor had boom boom shrimp. I sampled one...wow! Service was great. Beers were cold. The interior is loud next to the bar. That will move me outside next time. The entertainment is out there so that will be fine. The pretty trees and leaf canopy makes for a soothing atmosphere. read more

We love the Fenney area in general. It's a fantastic area to just sit out and have a cup of coffee and enjoy the live oak trees. We've been going to the pool a lot lately and ordering food from the bar. If you want to hang out and eat, it's a great place to do it. Depending when you go, the bar can be slammed. They don't come take orders at the pool, but you can go inside and order directly at the bar. Just stand near one of the cash registers. I've done that for drinks and food. If they're super busy, I may get drinks that way and call my food order in and then go in there to pick it up once it's ready. If they aren't too busy, and you tell them you're at the pool, they will bring your food out to you at the pool, but don't count on that. They do a good job on take out - the order is always correct and they add plenty of condiments, utensils, etc. We're regulars doing this. read more

Wow! Came here with 5 others. I have never ordered pasta at a restaurant before but had been eating out on vacation for 9 days prior and was tired of seafood so I ordered the blackened chicken alfredo. It was the best restaurant food I had eaten during my entire vacation. Creamy, perfectly seasoned and and a large serving. Normally when I get full I offer what I can't finish to my spouse. But it was so delicious I kept eating! Service was great, and our party of 6 was seated at a nice round table so we were able to converse while waiting for our food. It is a beautiful place. I'll start by saying this; it is (was) our favorite place to go. Last night two groups of six of us got there at 3:30 just after "Happy Hour" started. There was a sign on the front desk advertising their daily drink special. We ended up seated at two round tables at opposite ends of the patio, no issues with that. We were taking friends who had never been there before and we had sang the Fenney's praises to them. We had different waiters at the tables; our's gave us the impression that he really did not want to be there. The ladies ordered the drink special only to be told that they were all out of it. The men ordered Yuengling only to be told they were out of that. Here we were half hour into "Happy Hour" on a Friday night and they were out of what we ordered. (Take the sign down)! We worked around that but waited for the longest time for our drinks to come. I had asked for a plate of chips which came right before our meal. At 4:00 we asked for the dinner menu and another round of drinks again the wait was unacceptable. We ended up ordering the fish fry special and one lady wanted a burger. Again the wait was excessive for our food and when it did come it was obvious that the food had been sitting for a while. The fish was rubbery and the fries cold. The lady who ordered the burger was told that after is was cooked it resembled a hockey puck and she would have to wait until it was redone. They did comp her for the inconvenience, good point. One of the ladies ordered another drink around 4:45 but when she got her bill the price was not "Happy Hour" price. The other table of six appeared to have had the same problems. At this point i'm not sure if the people we introduced to the Fenney will ever go back (shame as they saw it at it's worst). My wife and I will give it another shot as we love the place but we can't believe what we experienced last night. I'm writing this in the hopes that manager sees it and takes steps towards it not happening again. read more

Had a great meal at Fennys. Stephanie was great host. I had the chopped salad which I really liked. Dad had the chili and the soup and fries. The bathrooms was actually really great, with a sink inside the stall. The cheesesteak was reported dry, and the prime rib was dry as well. Great environment and good people to strike up conversation. Quite atmosphere and fast service. Very clean restaurant and a beautiful location. Worst service in The Villages. Doesn't matter what time of year it is, the hostess stand is always disorganized and uninterested. It seems the people working the hostess stand also have to clean tables but that might be because the restaurant is always short staffing. If you sit at the bar, you'll see your grandkids retire before you're waited on. The bartender seems to handle all the people at the bar, all the drinks for the restaurant and pool and the to-go orders. It's crazy. We live very close to Fenney Grill and try to avoid it at all cost. However, I was in the area yesterday at lunchtime, sat at the bar and then got up and left 20 minutes later. read more

When we first visited The Villages almost 3yrs ago, lunch on the patio at Fenney Grill helped make us fall in love with TV! Gorgeous setting, great food, friendly servers. We bought our home right around the corner and used to go frequently - great salad, breakfast, lunches, dinners - our neighborhood restaurant with spectacular scenery, awesome Happy Hour, and wonderful live music under the Spanish moss-covered oak trees.... Ever since the former Manager purchased Fenney Grill from the previous owner, it's gone downhill; filthy (sticky floors with trash left on them / walked past for hours, empty tables piled high with dirty plates for 1.5hrs+ while people wait 45 min for a table), food coming out at different times - and taking forever to be served (over 45-60 minutes from time of order is standard), COLD meals, no utensils, disinterested servers (some - not all), lazy management. Such a disappointment. The past 3 times we went, we kept hoping it would improve, but it hasn't. We were so embarrassed to have brought guests there - won't be back until we see it's changed. We, and several friends who truly love having this neighborhood treasure in our backyard, have tried to address our concerns to management, but have actually had them be RUDE when we told them of the issues we have experienced. Don't blame the wait staff or say "no one wants to work" - plenty of other restaurants have GREAT food and service. Management should be helping the servers and checking in with guests, helping to clear tables / refill drinks / pick up trash rather than walk past it repeatedly.... Quality has suffered tremendously under this owner. Also, their website is regularly inaccurate and doesn't show info on the live music - multiple times they have advertised a performer whom they hadn't even booked (was playing elsewhere). Huge disappointment; Fenney Grill should be a fantastic place with quality food and great service. We hope that, someday, management will get it together... we would love to be able to go back and enjoy it! read more

Salad was good. Chicken on the salad was just okay. Happy hour is great. Service with Veronica was the best.She was amazing! Hard-working and always had a smile. Very disappointed in the outdoor seat cushions. The cushions no longer have any firmness left in them. Very uncomfortable. We sunk down in them. They are also terribly stained. Doesn't lend itself to a very relaxing ambiance at all. It's time for new cushions, please . Not even sure a cleaning would work at this point because of the need for firmer cushions. This is a great little restaurant located in the villages, or it can be. If you hit it during happy hour be ready for loud and rowdy old folk. After happy hour, it quite downs and you can hear your tables conversations. As far as food, it's hit and miss. Some of our tables food came out hot and fresh, some not so much. Food here is always delicious. No matter what we have tried we were happy with it. One of my favorites is the jalapeño and cream cheese omelette, it's AMAZING. The service is hit or miss here, you either get a server who is a hustler and on the ball or you get one who just doesn't seem like they want to be there. read more

The hostess was so sweet, I wish I got her name! The food was decent, I got a Salmon Caesar Salad with a cup of their Loaded Chili. It was a pretty small piece of salmon though for a $16 salad, which was my only complaint. read more
